Hi. I know this is an old post, but I hope you might still be of help.

Pls I got a loan of #7000 from Quickcredit app on the 17th of April 2022, and paid back the loan amount plus interest in full (#10830) on the 20th of April 2022.

However till date, the app still reflects that I'm owing and I have just one day left presently to pay off the loan.

And I have already sent my proof of payment of the said loan to their WhatsApp no. on WhatsApp, via mail and even to their phone message inbox. But they have still refused to clear out my loan even till date.

Kindly assist on how to resolve the issue fast pls. Thanks.

The north is peaceful compare to how it was before the coming of Buhari... This is the bitter truth you lot don't want to hear.

Back then no single state was safe in the north including kano and Abuja.

Now in the whole of North East we only having Bokoharam in Borno villages that are close to the forest.

Adamawa that was once under Bokoharam is now free and doing well.

Yobe is now developing and growing stronger than ever before.

Gombe is now free and also fast developing.

Bauchi is free too and developing...

North east is now safe... And soon Borno villages will be set free.

The only security challenges in the north west is banditry in the villages of South Kaduna, Zamfara and kastina.

The north shall prevail!

Oh really shocked
Does that mean that Igabi, Giwa, and Birnin Gwari LGAs where incessant attacks by kidnappers have become the order of the day falls under Southern Kaduna as well

BTW the same Borno State where more than 70 able bodied farmers were slaughtered like 'ragunan sallah' also falls under your safe haven I suppose? grin

Keep deceiving yourself mister.. infact ever since Nigeria's independence, all inter-state roads in the North have never been as safe as they are today, all thanks to Baba Buhari! tongue

The Quran was originally written in Arabic language. That does not in any way make the words used therein Islamic words. Comprend'e

A name mentioned in Quran is an Hausa name, you're funny. If indeed it is an Hausa name, why all Islamic countries bear the name? Abi Hausa too dey Saudi Arabia? Think before you talk abeg.

Hey, I still stand by my earlier submission that the name 'Hauwa or Hauwa'u' is a hausa name. Lots of hausa words originated from arabic language e.g sadaka(sadaqa/sadqah). The Arabic version of the name is spelt 'Haawa Or Hawwa/Hawa'; and not Hauwa.
It means 'Eve' in English. Thus, Hauwa'u is the name used in the hausa translation of the Holy Bible.

Fuckingmallam45:

I'm not disputing that fact, but basically, it's a Muslim name. For example, my younger brother is no longer a Muslim, but he still maintained his Muslim name.

It's a hausa name, not a muslim name. Therefore both Northern Muslims & Christians also bear the name, as it means "Eve". The complete name is "Hauwa'u". cool

My vexation is not from my father's gratuity, he is doing fine now, I mentioned that as a first hand experience. Only a naive individuals will sit and enjoy the soap opera you're writing, certainly not an individual like me. The way you're carefully handpicking some cases will only mean either you're profiting from the failed system or you just chose to act blindly against all odds and lastly, you could just be a young lad who is naive to reality.

Africa Society is just too stiff and very unethical with issues of resource management and leadership. Infact, it is a mindset problem.

The pasture will be greener for me in the other side. I have worked thick and thin right here and alast I have noticed that except for a few righteous and genuine people majority of those who bow to corruption or those who support corrupts practice are the ones that really thrive. If you don't know someone or you don't have a strong backing(money), you will suffer for being good and ethical. My personality and life style will not make me reach my dream if I remain here, I don't have much choice.

Well you are neither here nor there. Referring to me as a possibly young lad naive to reality doesn't in anyway make you a wise adult you know. You still sound unnecessarily emotional without substantiating your assertions.

And while you chose to run away from the supposed "problems", I chose to face the challenges headon and see that I do my little bit in contributing to the nation building I so much desire. cool

I am sorry, I have not support anyone in any of my quotes, please stop putting things to me I didn't mention or say. Where did I support Dakolo or where did I castigate fatoyino?? Please let's speak fact here. I don't like it when people make false assumptions and argue on it. It isn't fair.

I leave you to your opinion on our judicial system, The so called people you claim has been arrested is tip of the iceberg if we want to castigate our criminals, The best you've spotted isn't just good enough, infact I leave you to your hallucination. My Dad case of gratuity has been in the court for three years now and that has been because his company has use their power claws to toss and delay the case for too long now. Go ahead and defend the system that has left all it youth very poor and languishing in poverty, a system that has failed to solve problems of corrupt practices and crimes. You claim they are locking criminals and yet workers are owed day by day, State funds are missing day by day and crimes are on the increase, private individual pulling bullion vans into their houses in broad daylight.

I have said it, I know very soon I will leave this community and Africa society very soon, so I am less bother of people like you that feels everything is alright and cherrypick some cases to justify and cover the failure and rottenness of the system.
I only weep for the plight of posterity. All I know is that same posterity will judge us.

Well I can now see where your grudge with the system emanates from: Your dad's entitlement issue in Court. That is why I still reiterate that our Justice system isn't perfect. There are bad eggs in the system and that is a common problem worldwide.

I have presented facts to buttress my stand on the successes still being recorded by our Justice system, notwithstanding the noticeable imperfections as well.

All the same, I wish you goodluck in your quest to leave Nigeria for greener pasture elsewhere (tho the grass is not always greener at the other side lipsrsealed).

where have I supported media trail? Please I need you to highlight that part. All the while I have supported your opinions which speaks against reliance on media trail, my only warning is this: Our legal system aren't trust worthy and don't be too hasty that their complain of police men do not have truth in it.

And how has our judicial system failed us I wonder why you keep going in circles even after I've made mention of the fact that our Justice system isn't perfect. There's no perfect Justice system in the entire world!

That's why I've stated that the same Justice system has put alot of accused persons behind bars for several crimes including rape. However, it has imperfection like any other in the world. Or are you telling me that the US Justice system is perfect A system that has wrongfully convicted innocent persons for crimes they did not commit or allows the excessive use of police might? undecided

stanliwise:
I gave examples of how our judicial system have failed us. whether rape or money laundry, it is the same judicial system that handles all.

Unfortunately you only mentioned Atiku's name and I countered your assertion by reminding you that the same "failed" Justice system has also prosecuted several personalities of high calibre on corruption charges as well, one of which is that of a former first lady of Nigeria. Also, same judicial system has convicted several persons for rape as well. That I have personal knowledge of.

Just last month precisely on the 25th of June, a High Court in the FCT sentenced the General Overseer of a pentecostal church (Mountain Mover Ministry Internationa Nyanya) to imprisonment for rape. The problem is most decided rape cases are greatly under-reported; that, I think is the reason alot of Nigerians are not aware rapists do get to be punished by the Courts.

And that is why it is very unfair for someone to just sit at home and conclude that our Justice system is wack when they have not even tried the system yet. Why base your sentiment solely on what people have told you or mere hearsay? The Dakolos ought to have tried the system first before complaining.

Truth be told, that's why I find it quite difficult these days conversing on important issues (particularly legal issues) with nairalanders. Most are just beclouded by emotions that cause them to lose their sense of reasoning. Because I said that our Judicial system is not what it is does not mean that I imply they are totally unresponsive. Don't over imply things.

This your over reliance in a system that has failed us woefully and left our country shallow and dragged on the dust can never be trusted, quote me anywhere. See bro if you must disprove this, give me a solid reason why

1.our politicians like Atiku would be a saint in our system but is hiding from the legal system of USA.
2.How come we are in debt despite our rich resources
3. How can two bullion van enter the compound of a private individual in broad day light.
4. How Delta state governor(James Ibori) was vindicated here in Nigeria but was jailed in UK court for money laundering.

Your naive and over simplicity is pissing me off actually, you and most Nigerian feigning ignorance like you were just born in this country today. Infact I will leave your case to God.

Remember I said as much "as you were making sense", which means social media drama isn't the best way to go but their chant of how our legal system is mismanaged may have some truth in it even if it is not how they are painting it.

Oh my, we are talking about rape here and not the 1001 problems bedevilling Nigeria. All these excuses you've highlighted still does not justify your media trial. And even the almighty Justice system of the USA is still bedevilled with great imperfection.

Or are you in any way insinuating that since "Atiku would be a Saint in our system while hiding from USA system", media trial should be condoned Please desist from using a wrong to correct another wrong @stanliwise. Media Justice is the same thing as Jungle Justice, and both MUST be discouraged.

The same Justice system you criticise that hasn't prosecuted Atiku is the same Justice system that gave judgement against a former first lady of Nigeria as well as several other prominent personalities in the past. Please, stop trying to divert from the topic. The fact is several rape cases have been tried and accused persons have been duly convicted in this same country of ours.

And I repeat, YOU & I ARE NOT WITNESSES TO THE ALLEGED RAPE. Hence, the accused remains innocent until proven guilty by a competent Court of law. undecided

As much as you're making sense. Remember that our legal system is not what it is. Don't come here and be telling us some soap opera. You and I know anything happens in Nigeria.

So because our judicial system is "not what it is", we should all then resort to media trial where the accused is usually presumed guilty until proven innocent right By the way it's not right to just conclude that our judicial system is totally wack, cos as a former State Counsel, I've come across & personally handled several rape cases where the accused persons were subsequently convicted for their crimes. So our Justice system might not be perfect, it still works so long as you are able to prove your case beyond reasonable doubt.

You and I were not both there when the alleged rape occurred so we can't be 100% sure who is saying the truth in this case.

Note that media trial is no different from jungle Justice really. That is why we shouldn't encourage such and our laws do not support same. Hence once the matter gets to Court, the Court may have to direct all parties in the matter to abstain from further commenting on the issue in the media until the matter is determined in Court.

Family / Re: How Do I Take Custody Of My Beloved Son? by limamintruth: 8:26am On Jul 13, 2019
otobasin2323:
Good day nairalanders, ( pls ignore my errors, I am not good in typing ) I had a baby with one lady from rivers state(ex girlfriend) and I am from imo state, the baby turns out to be a boy he is 2 years old now. The lady lived with me during her pregnancy and also Gave birth under my roof.. 9months after giving birth, we started having issue. Based on am not well to do.. Cause my hustle ain't paying off. She left the house with my son. Later on she and her family found a man who has been married for so long but no child.. But the man is very wealthy and well to do in the society, the man is also from their town in rivers state ,she agreed to be the second wife so he can claim the child.

on hearing this I rejected it and met with her family so they can release my son to me and she can go ahead and marry whom ever she likes.. To my greatest suprise they all decline to my request but gave her full support that she should go ahead quoting me that in their tradition "any man that marries a lady that is with a child the child automatically answers the man's name"

With this statement it got me sad, angry cause I love my son with all my heart I don't want another man to father him.. Every month I Normally send her 15k for keep up my son... She ain't satisfied.. That am too poor for her liking... How do I take her to court the only documents I have here.. Is my sons birth certificate, his pictures with me. And all the receipt of the money I normally sent to her monthly... Pls I seriously need advice or suggestions. Thank you

I'll advise you to employ the services of a good legal practitioner if you really want to have custody of your son. Because it is the position of law that any custom which intends to separate a parent from his/her child and transfer such parental rights to a stranger (in this case, your exe's suitor) is barbaric & repugnant to the rule of natural Justice. There is in fact, a famous judicial authority to that effect.

So do not give up my man. It's obvious you've been really there for your child; only that you ain't buoyant enough financially to captivate your baby momma's heart. Peace.

Sorry bro i'm about to hijack your thread..

**me i served in Kano Dawakin Tofa a local village settlement... For those concerned with se.x u better stick to your fellow corpers for your own good...**

**Major Differences I Noticed **

1. Language barrier (You f*cking have to learn Hausa) you just have to fellaz! on the flip side it's an add, yea! I can speak Hausa)

2. They treat women different:
A woman cannot sit in between two guys, same as men,

A female does not make any physical contact with a male not even a hand shake,

Women are not allowed to pray together with men, they go to mosque (masallahchi) on Sundays and a special school called Islamiya

Throughout my stay I never saw a woman sitting in the front passenger sit of a PUBLIC vehicle

3. There's a funny relationship with animals:

locals own cats and cats are not afraid of people but down here in the south na to shout witch!! And chase them but Here cats just go around their normal business, thesame with other animals...

Here we have carmels and horses it's a serene habitation here..

Animals no dey fear, like you'll be eating then rams and goats will start crowding see mind..

I can also walk through the mist of 200 cows without any fear but for South if we see just one cow dey pass na to clear road o! We no wan hear say! One thing happen

4. They have mosque like inside every bank, filling station even inside Shoprite (Ado Bayero mall) they don't joke with prayers. A cahier will just stop counting your money that he's going to pray... Make I hear say igbo man stop to count money for waytin na?

5. Things are super cheap especially transportation you can use 15naira for Transport my people 15 NAIRA... food stuff is cheap too, we had to throwaway tomatoes and onion, it was too much

6. A guy is not allowed to enter a house if they are females also living in the house is called Ba a shiga but female corpers are free to go in....urna see cheating

Plenty numerous to mention like also loading people in the boots of cars and buses, bicycle is a popular means of transportation (early mornings is like China everybody on byke)

IT WAS FUN!!....

KANO mykau!! Inna je Hausa pala pala (meaning:Kano is go, I understand hausa plenty plenty)....

Thank you for the experience

**Note: The experience might vary based on your location but it's 70% thesame**

Walahi you really captured the typical core North lifestyle well! grin
