Family / Re: Is It Advisable For A Married Man To Tell His Wife How Much He Earns? by limitless101: 6:31pm On Jul 28, 2022
Perception is oftentimes reality. Once your full financial worth is known, sizing you up and automatically knowing your financial limitations is certain, and that is bad for any man (married or not).
A little bit of mystery and surprises spices up any relationship. When your total earnings is known, there can be no surprises.

Politics / GMB 2015 V PMB 2019: What Changed? by limitless101: 12:27am On Feb 21, 2019
About this period in 2015, the 'Change' mantra had swept through the entire nation. Chants of 'Said Baba' filled the air and a defeat for the incumbent President was imminent. Everyone was eager to join the train. Nigeria is on the rise again.

A few years down the line, things have changed. This is not even about the economic downturn or security challenges, it is about the personality of President Buhari. In 2015, he rode on goodwill having contested and failed on previous occasions. Nigerians saw in him a person who was determined and humble, dedicated to the course but still simple.

Perceptions began changing after the prolonged stay in the UK for treatment. Till today, no questions answered and no public speech to appreciate the goodwill of Nigerians through this period. Could this man be this arrogant? Not even a press conference upon your return?

Disunity broke out within the APC ranks and he was approached to broker peace. Rather than doing that, he took sides and dared those who weren't comfortable with his decision to do the worst. These were people who believed in you and supported your candidacy with all they had back in 2015. Surprisingly, they no longer matter. Kwankwaso, Saraki, Dogara and others left him. Nigerians kept watching.

The APC primaries came around and was marred with imposition of favoured candidates over those who spent time and money to woo members. Aggrieved members ran to you. Once again, PMB took sides and 'mandated' others to comply. We were watching.

Perhaps he thought the day of reckoning would never come, he never thought it wise to engage meaningfully with the people who supported you enmasse just a few years back. Like the proverbial king, he felt untouchable and expected an automatic support from Nigerians whom you have largely left abandoned.

Nothing hurts more than to be taken for a fool or deemed irrelevant by someone you once supported to get to the top. The economic failures and terrible advice given and heeded to oftentimes did not also help.
PMB has lost the goodwill of Nigerians. What is most painful is that he doesn't seem to know! This is because he has surrounded himself with bootlickers who know the truth but would rather keep it from him.

'Noboby can unseat me' were his words. Perhaps he doesn't know how arrogant and infuriating that statement is. He will learn.

Never take the goodwill of people for granted. It is the fastest way down!
Politics / A Call For Prof. Yemi Osinbajo's Resignation by limitless101: 10:01pm On Jan 25, 2019
The reasons are obvious. He is either part of this sheer and shameful illegality or he was totally sidelined.
The last face saving move should be his resignation. If not done, it would be on record that SAN was the Vice to a President who undermined the Constitution and exhibited unprecedented dictatorship in a Democratic regime. What an irony!
Please 'like' if you agree.

Politics / Has Lai Mohammed Seen The Signs Of Defeat? by limitless101: 3:38pm On Jan 18, 2019
A quick flashback to a few months ago, the Minister for Information and Communication; Lai Mohammed was at the fore of all criticisms against the main opposition party; PDP. In fact, he has never been reserved in his blatant condemnation of the PDP era and this dates as far back as the 2015 elections.
Things however appear to have taken a twist, as the outspoken Minister has not made any public criticism in recent times...
Does he know something we don't?

Family / Re: My Husband's Pride Wants To Ruin Our Home by limitless101: 11:34pm On Jul 14, 2018
Olabestonic001:

Most of you are really easily deceived. Women are good wordsmith and knows how to get the narrative to favor their desired end.

I've a feeling that she's not telling us alot. She said from the proceeds of the business, the man used his 'own part' (I'm damned sure they both agreed) to save the life of her father-in-law. The other was used to purchase a land and she (thinking she's smarter) bought it in her name. The husband never knew such.

The man apparently thought he had a great wife- began to judiciously pumped money into the land and a house 'germinated' outta it. One day, they had a sharp disagreement and she reminded the man that he had no portion in the property. He became angry and left the house. She tried to 'give the olive branch' but he was still stunned. The issue wasn't looking good.
She most likely reminded him that he 'squandered' his own share on his 'family' and that caused him to wonder what his wife was driving at.

He annoyingly and foolishly asked for a transfer away. She got wind of it and discovered that that man some of you foolishly called wicked for his 'stupid' request wasn't nearly as bad. He still provides for the family and leaving her in the 'big house' she is claiming is too much for her to bare. A divorce is looming! Worst still, even with the house, she still doesn't have the upper hand. So, she came here, gave her version so that people will queue behind her. And boy, are they?

Woman, let me tell you; you definitely know you betrayed and have wronged that man. He used a part of your deal to take care of his father and felt your agreement meant you loved his father! Your action to make the land in your name and you saw him dancing that he's building a family house not knowing he isn't is a bad choice ma. He himself is a man that needs wisdom.

Kindly go back to your man and ensure you show remorsefulness for betraying him while he takes care of his parents (remember, they're yours too). Don't mind those cheering you on here. Many of them don't understand marriage but takes it for agitation. And if you want to remain married, show genuine repentance and you'll be shocked he won't even ask you to change it to his name again.

God will save your home.

God bless you for this.
You're the only one on this platform who gave a balanced opinion and read through the story even though some facts were deliberately left out.
I fully agree with you. This is full betrayal!

Politics / Bola Ahmed Tinubu: History Beckons. by limitless101: 11:32pm On Mar 06, 2018
How quickly times change. Just a few years ago, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was courted by the APC as the hero of the party. The brilliant mind who saw to end of GEJ's rule. He championed the 'Change' mantra and was the toast of all APC bigwigs from all political regions.

Fast forward to a few years down the line, the relevance of Asiwaju has been whittled down like a deflated ball. He has become a shadow of his old self and his appointees at the national level have either been won over by the 'cabal' or frozen out just like their hero from the west. The Presidency knows how influential he still is in the South West ( Lagos in particular) and chose to make him feel somewhat relevant. He was appointed to chair the Reconciliation Committee for a party barely holding up. He must have considered that option for some time. He could have chosen to remain politically aloof watching how they will magically navigate through the 2019 elections without his input or he could give them a second chance to accord him the relevance he rightly deserves. He chose the latter.

Just a few weeks into his new role, he must have realized that it was a husk of a role. A hollow position just to make him feel important. It lacked the powers that ought to come with it. The Cabal never share. This lucidly played out when Oyegun was massively supported by the Governors and the Presidency just a few weeks after Tinubu openly criticized him of frustrating his reconciliatory efforts. Note, Tinubu hardly ever makes public criticism of his party members. He must have been pushed to the wall.

It therefore came as no surprise that the Lagos APC chose never to forget their own. Oyegun was told he is not welcome. This development puts Tinubu at a crossroad. The Cabal has seized power completely at the National level and are in control of even some south west APC states. If Tinubu decides to remain a deflated figure in the party heading into the 2019 elections, he stands the chance of being finally run over by the Cabal, even in Lagos. He could however team up with the 3rd Force Coalition (which appears more like SDP) and hope to regain some political relevance through that route.

None of the options seem favourable. If Tinubu does not however make a choice soon enough, his political influence will fast become a tale told in a few years to come. 'We once had a highly influential politician in Lagos. He lost his sit to the Cabal...'

I endured till I got off the bus. Just felt there was no point saying anything to her, as a guy, to save her from any embarrassment. Please who has been in such a situation? PotatoSalad:
I work hard and I have sleepless nights and I see the results. I'm a Christian but the issue of paying tithe is totally unnecessary.
If you work hard, you'll be successful. Miracles don't happen. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW. If we can touch the lives of people around us, the world will be a better place. See sick people dying everyday, lots of homeless people in the streets, children and youths with potentials but nobody to help them, yet we build churches as big and as beautiful as heaven and worship our pastors/let them control our lives. You pay tithe of 50k to your pastor every month but there's a young girl living across the street with dream of getting a quality formal education. You know about that yet you pay your tithe to yout pastor, sometime later she's influenced by her peers, got pregnant and end up losing her life to complications from abortion. Na religion we go chop? Whatever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me. Forget whatever your pastor told you about paying tithe, look into your heart and ask yourself this question; am i selfish or am I doing what's right? Thousands of churches everywhere yet it's like nothing is happening.. cry
I'd love to continue but the more i type, the angrier I get... This life sha.
God bless you richly! You hit the nail squarely on the head!

Religion / Re: Church Members Walk Out On Pastor Adefarasin Over Tithing by limitless101: 10:14pm On Oct 29, 2017
dane15:
I see no reason why any Pastor should beg any member to pay tithe. Any day God leads you as a Pastor to speak on tithing, just talk about it and end it there. Don't overflog the issue.

I don't understand where this evil doctrine of paying tithe to the needy is coming from. The bible specifically states where tithes must go to- HIS HOUSE. Mal 3:10.

The reason why people don't get blessed is that they try to teach God his work. He has given an instruction not an advice. Follow it and get blessed, don't follow it and have fun with th devourer. Mal3:10-12

If you feel your current church is not a fertile place to pay your tithe then change your church. Tithes have changed lives and will continue to. A lot of genuine and real testimonies have come from it.

Your tithe is not a 'giving', it is a payment. You are not doing God a favour. It's for your own good. Isa 1:19 Says to qualify for your blessing you must be willing and obedient. If you obey but do it reluctantly don't bother, you are wasting your tithe.
Finally, tithing is different from charity. You still need to be a blessing to people around you. For we are blessed to be a blessing.
If paying tithe is a problem to you, keep your money. It is not by force. Last time, I checked no true man of God has ever forcefully collected money from any member's pocket.

It seems you are the ignorant one here. Selfishness and greed ride high in so many churches. Read Deut. 26:12 for starters. The only thing 'evil' is if your pastor tells you your tithe MUST come to the church. You need deep lectures on the purpose of tithing in itself. You'l be enlightened.
