Good one.

God bless the Nigeria Police, the Olode's (our local Hunters) and AMOTEKUN corps for this joint effort rescue operation.

If herdsmen can carry AK-47, then AMOTEKUN should be allowed to bear more sophisticated arms.

God bless EKITI STATE

God bless YORUBALAND.

God bless Nigeria.

Which ‘Joint rescue efforts’?

It clearly stated the kids were released! Instead thank the donors who came together and source for the N15m ransom.

https://www.nairaland.com/3250650/durex-report-62-nigerian-women

About 65% of Nigeria married cheats, if magun was a thing, we would be seeing it in the news every single day.

So far we only hear it via heresay!

All married men would have loved to do magun because men are jealous and don’t want to share their woman with another man.

Some would do it openly and even inform the lady to checkmate her.

But why does it mostly happen with adulterers?

They are more scare, nervous, anxious while doing it, this leads to many uncontrollable body conditions that can trigger your muscles to react out of your control.

With the high rate of adultery among married women in Nigeria, look at the rate of DNA paternity fraud today….i know many guys must have gone to do ‘magun’ secretly on their spouse….

If this was a thing, we for dey catch at least 100 ladies every single day in Nigeria and adultery by married women in Nigeria would have been a thing of the past confined to the history books.

Na our kids for dey read am for history books that, ‘Once upon a time in the olden olden days, married women use to do the thing with other men who are not their husbands’.

Every single guy or at least 90% of men would have done magun secretly or knowingly to their wives to keep their spouse faithful.

Don't expose yourself here. OPEC quota is enough reason to understand what that statement means.

OPEC quota only try to limit production so as to control global pricing.

OPEC does not control who you supply or sell to once produced and Nigeria can cut her OPEC quota down anytime she wants and that would gladden OPEC because it will increase global price and benefit OPEC.

Nigeria can also increase her production above OPEC quota if she so desire.

I think they are correct and actually down played the increase.

Increase in access to internet increased Yahoo activities, which increases money flowing into major cities in Nigeria especially cities housing or close to higher institutions.

Though it is illicit money, none the less those money increases business, economy and standards of living in those communities, thereby improving poverty.

How does it devalue the Naira?

You clearly don’t know what devalues the Naira. Nigeria imports almost everything and that is what devalues the Naira.

If you have ever earned in dollar and one person say he will give you N800 for your dollar and another say, they will give you N1,200 for that same dollar, who will you transact with?

mrrandomguy:
He is absolutely correct.
For those who don't understand, the dollars don't reach Nigeria. What the money transfer companies do is to credit the receiver with the naira equivalent. The actual dollars is then diverted away from the official market. This is why the CBN through the official market can never meet Nigeria's dollar obligations because of the low inflow of dollars.

People like the olodo called Bismarck Rewane are agents of the world bank and IMF. They have been pushing for removal of subsidy and exchange rate liberalisation for a long time despite knowing that the official rate can never be the same as the parallel rate. These people have made billions of Naira from the systematic devaluation of the naira.

I don’t see the difference, that $1,000 does not necessarily have to hit Nigeria.

That $1,000 triggered the payment of N1.2mil from a local bank in Nigeria to the intended recipient in Nigeria, thereby increasing the demand for Naira which would have helped the exchange rate of Naira if our monetary policies are right.

Also that N1.2mil would trigger economic activities in that region of Nigeria which would have otherwise be dormant. A bricklayer would be paid, a market woman will collect part of that money in exchange for garri, etc.

The situation is the same if the person brought the physical dollar into the country, they will go to aboki and aboki will go to his bank and get N1.2mil to give the individual.

The reason FG is not happy is because they want to be in custody of that $1,000. Why would anyone in their right senses give the FG $1 in exchange for N800, when they can get N1,200 across the street?

Rip soldier

Even if his finger slipped to the trigger, a bullet must be expelled from the magazine into the chamber before it would fire and release the bullet.

So add….his hands first cork the gun before firing.

Fishes that go to the shallow water and the fisher that waits at the shallow water are alike in this scenario. The fisher, if honestly cares for the survival of fishes, will chase the fishes back to deep water instead of killing them.

There is no utopia world anywhere under the Sun.

If the fisher likes, let them chase all the fishes away from the swallow water, fishes that want to be killed would still be killed and there is no perfect world anywhere under the Sun where there would be a scarcity of fishers.

And being a non-fisher does not guarantee that your wife would have a low body count fish neither would being a fisher necessarily mean you would be joined with a high body count fish....it is all by chance and the proposed values exchange between both people.

Your logic is like that of a fisherman who continues to fish but complains that fishes may go extinct. The guy promotes prostitution but complians against it. Let him desist from premarital sex if he truly cares.

Your proposed logic ignores the fact that new fishes are born every day and that it was the fish that came to the swallow waters and exposed themselves to the fisherman and even if this fisherman desist from fishing as you put it, other fishermen are nearby and wouldn't follow the same path and also not all fishes exposes themselves to fishermen or come to the swallow waters.

Since you contribute to the problem, why are you complaining?

He did not contribute to any problem, it was a transaction and exchange of values.

The item was on display for sales, price was negotiated and they exchanged values dear to each other walk away towards their separate ways.

That prior transaction does not bind him or restrict him in future endeavors.

Just like in the previous transaction, he is now within his rights to define what is ‘value’ to him before he can consent to a future permanent relationship and if one of value definitions is ‘low body counts’, so be it.

Mind you the ladies on the other hand have what they consider value when it comes to future permanent relationships, except that to many of them ‘high body count’ is not much of a value they would insist on, but they would want the guy to be handsome and loaded, which is not a bad thing.

Each person would come to the table with their various prepositions of values and see if they can transact the business.

So, because she helped her save 1080 dollars, she had to make her lose 140-dollar baby food? See justification!

It is not a justification, it is just looking at the bigger picture, I believe she was not counting on the dollar values. I brought it up to show further how ungrateful she was.

If someone did something that causes you pain before you try to go into any outburst, pause and check their value to you or the good things they had done to you in the past, not just go ahead and call the Cops on them.
Family / Re: I Came Home And Found My Sister Breastfeeding My Son — I Called The Cops by linearity: 3:42pm On Jan 16
Benjaminy:

The Sister was a bit wrong. Could have still breastfed the child while keeping the baby formulas aside, without discarding them. But I agree with you. The one that called the cops ain't just wrong. She's a terrible human. Calling the cops is the thank you, for taking care of your son for days?

Agreed that she should not have discarded the baby formula, but the whole analysis faulting her for doing that is looking at the monetary loss, which from the comments I have seen so far put at about $140.00.

Contrarily, have you seen the cost of babysitting a child in America? In this case a seven weeks old child for that matter. Many Babysitting agencies and people would not take a child that young from anyone, because it involves a lot of risks and the challenges and troubles are enormous and require nearly 24/7 vigilance. In the US any little slip from the caregiver, cops can be called on you even for things you tolerant when they happen to our kids under your watch.

As a result of the above, when you find childcare for infants it is very expensive and priced hourly, between $15 to $50 per hour, so for three days, that would be 72 hours, and using the lower estimate, she saved 72 * $15 = $1,080.00 and she is been blamed for discarding a mere $140?
Family / Re: I Came Home And Found My Sister Breastfeeding My Son — I Called The Cops by linearity: 12:34pm On Jan 16
Very funny. I really can't say but I don't think it's proper to breastfeed another woman's baby without her approval.

She knew about her sister’s beliefs against the use of baby formula and have observed her not using it with her own son.

But when it became convenient for her, she left her baby under her sister’s care and went to the hospital for three days?

That is an implicit approval to her sister to breast feed the baby in her absent, she obviously doesn’t have alternative choice for babysitting.

It is like giving a bone to a dog and becoming mad because the dog is chowing on the bone. All the signs were there that you know or would have known that a dog would chow on bones, but you ignored them because it was convenient for you and hoped and prayed that it does not happen.

She was totally ungrateful for calling the cops, I don’t know about you, have you watched someone else 7 weeks old baby for three days straight and when she returned, there was no thank you, she walked straight into the bathroom and called cops?

She is an ingrate and have an overblown sense of entitlement, next time your baby will be sleeping beside you on your hospital bed.

But seeing the work they have done so far by the miraculous progress under just a year, I think I am confident to say that they are doing all the right things and should continue and not change anything.

Moreso, they must be doing this amazing thing under that same environment and house.

Looking at both pictures, people would start consulting you guys on ‘how did you do it’ because they are facing the same dilemma you faced a year ago.

Agreed everyone’s mileage is different but the ability of our body to heal itself is the same across all except where there are immune compromise in individuals, which goes to say that even when we are healthy we should constantly ensure that our immune system is in top gears.
