This is bad, from lectures to military officers, they don't want to learn from their colleagues that have been sacked and humiliated

I'm sure the colonel will be investigated but she shouldn't have gone to social media, it's against military tradition.

If I were her, I would take my time, gather all the evidence and then report him to the army authority , infact the colonel will be afraid of her if he knows she has something she can use against him.

In the video, she said she has done all that and multiple times, she even stated a BOI - Board of inquiry was setup in one case and nothing happened.

The system cannot police itself, outside leverage is needed and Social media has been ver very effective.

Look at all these Police officers that has been dismissed for defrauding citizens, do you know how many petitions is collecting dust against them in their various barracks and nothing will be done, but go on social media and viola tops 7 days they have been publicly humiliated and dismissed.

Plus in her case she is cut between the rock and a hard place because these are top military officers. Though she stated she has tried litigation before, I with this she should go for it again, because the Army would want to sweep it under the carpet.

Well, the money is meant for the child and not the husband, therefore he has no right to "demand" it. I reckon he wants to pocket it or use it for his own interests. The money should remain with the mother of the child whom it was sent to; she should decide what should be done with it.

The guy who use his own money to pay for school fees and upkeep of a child that is not his is the mugu, I guess?

Child support is for the child and not for the mom to keep or to spend on herself. The money should go directly to what concerns the child, if the mom is the one that will make that decision on how to direct that money, if I am in the husband’s shoes I will ask her to start from the school fees.

The lady is greedy and ungrateful, she will never meet a better man and does not deserve the guy.

Is it right for a husband for demand for any money sent to his wife by her ex for the support of a child she got for him,ie the current husband's step child? Worthy to note that the child has been living with them for close to ten years the husband married the mother and has been paying the child school fees and feeding

Since the money is for the child, just use it to pay the school fees of the child, case close!

The mother is unreasonable and ungrateful here, the man have accepted you and your child from a third party, he is paying the school fees and upkeep of the child.

Then your ex gave you money for the child and you want to keep it for yourself? Her actions is painting the guy to be a fool like a mogu, monkey!

His main point is that, the Governor was also breaking the law by driving on one-way.

He should live by example if he want to make a public show of people breaking the law, he was even on one way while making the ‘arrest’. I guess he was pissed that some nobody dare share the road and special privilege of breaking the law with him.

Passport application online in Nigeria is not something new, shebi after the online processes u will still be required to go for biometrics in their office? That's where the problems always arises, in most cases the corrupt officials tell u to go n collect your passport online.

I am wondering what is new here?

There has always been passport processing online and it has been so for many many years both for domestic and internationally users.

You login, input your information, the system will give you an appointment date to appear for processing, for international applicants you are redirected to an online third party to pay the fees, print the receipt and bring it with you on your appointment date.

Domestic applicants had to pay physical or a payment module may have been implemented by now.

So this new ‘online system’ that must have cost Nigerians flesh and blood what difference does it provide visa-vi the old one?

All I see is another white elephant project used to siphon money from the pockets of Nigerians leaving poorer and as usual and typical the poor masses are cheering their oppressors on for doing a fantastic job!

Most wifi are unlimited in use and pricing or connection speed don't change with increase in users, why the wifi owner come change password ni after two years of free use.....

WiFi bandwidth is limited, it is the continuous usage that is unlimited as long as you pay your bill each month.

The guy even confirmed it, saying his WiFi is very slow.

That said, it is foolish to open your WiFi network for others to use, as everything good/bad they are doing on the internet would be traced to you, don’t be surprised if the government knocks on your door to answer some questions about your internet activities.

Best practices, change the administrative name & password, make the SSID unrelated to you, put a strong encryption and a password; then create a guest network with its own password for guest and change the guest password on a periodic bases.

These would reduce the possibility of hacking or impersonation.

Na wa O. Sundar Pichai and Ngozi sound like mainstream Americans?

Abi what is your definition of mainstream US accent?

I gave you a simple test:

Pull up a speech by Sundar, and pull up another speech of an India guy speaking English with his India accent and listen to both; you will see the difference.

Pull Ngozi speech and another with an Igbo guy speaking English with Igbo accent compare both.

Now to my reference to mainstream America accent, compare Sundar and Ngozi speech to mainstream cooperate Americans like Bloomberg, Oprah, etc you will seen that there is more similarities between their speech to these Americans compare to their Native India or Igbo.

Lol. Have you heard Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, speaking? Does he use a fake accent? Most Indian-born people in the US speak English with their native accent. Doesn't prevent them from being hot cakes. The person you're responding to also gave an example of Okonjo Iweala.

Sundar Pichai speaks with mainstream US accent, compare his speeches side-by-side with a native Indian speaking English and you will see the difference. I work with Indians as well, they are highly skilled and adjust their speaking skills as they move into management.

Ngozi had her initial career introduction in the USA, she speaks with the mainstream US accent. There are a hundred and one accents in the US, she uses the mainstream one. Again, no matter how you adjust in your speaking, there is also that foreign undertone from your native country and you hear that from Sundar and Ngozi.

My friend you are talking to someone who lived abroad for over 2 decades and had high profile jobs without having to change my name to charles or victor or develop a fake accent like many low self esteem Nigerians do. Again I repeat, if you have something to offer you will be embraced. the problem with many Nigerians is they dont have anything to offer.

The only job abroad where your accent can be an issue is a call center job. And quite frankly if you leave Nigeria to be a call center rep, you clearly have nothing to offer!! its one of the lowest paying no skill jobs in any society.

if you are an engineer and your calculations are correct no one cares about your accent.
if you are an architect and your drawings are beautiful no one cares about your accent
if you are a lawyer and your legal arguments are sound , no one cares about your accent
if you are a programmer and your programm works, no one cares about your accent
if you are an artist and you produce beautiful paintings, no one cares about your accent
i can go on and on

the people who worry about accent are those with low skills with an inferiority complex.

NOI is DG WTO, everywhere she goes she dresses in Ankara and gele and speaks in a uniquely Nigerian accent!!!!

what you people dont know is that people can smell your fake accent and can immediately smell your inferiority complex.

I have the same pedigree as you and those jobs e.g. Engineering, Architect, etc you mentioned are mid-level job.

Also you are discounting the reality that, there are many Programmers who are equally as good or better than you and the employees have to make decisions based on other criterias.

Many Engineering and Programming jobs also include the requirement to be an effective communicator. As an Engineer after doing my designs, I have to stand in front of upper management to do Presentations, in some cases convince them about my design solution against another solution, communicating in an accent they do not understand will not go a long way.

Also High End Presale Network Architects, who go into Boardrooms to convince CEOs, Presidents and Company Directors to adopt a new technology from their provider must be good communicators and in many cases, the only option is to speak in the common accent everyone at the table understands.

Low & Midl evel Engineers or Programmers who just interact with keyboards don’t need these skills.

In this Nigeria? The problem with an inferiority complex is most who have one dont even know they it. Your problem is you are not qualified for the job. if you are good you are good, focus on being the best in your field and the world will embrace you.

What you have described is like a beautiful woman who has slept around and complains she cant find a husband because she is beautiful. No the problem is you have slept around and no one wants to marry you so you conveniently blame your beauty and say it intimidates men. The reason you cant get a job in Nigeria has nothing to do with your accent!!

I think you have to take your own advice, read three times so to comprehend.

My first two paragraphs is not talking about getting a job in Nigeria, rather about getting a job abroad where the accent of the interviewer and accent used in the office is different from your foreign accent and the job is not in-demand.

The last paragraph talk about intentional changes even within Nigeria as people move abroad and acquire a new community.

Google ‘accent change for job interview’ and you will get many hits abroad for people who offer that service for a fees.

Baby mamas are ladies who dated a man and had kids for them, but they broke up due to one reason or another.

Not true though!

Baby mama is baby mama and can result from a one night stand or a private arrangement between two between two people who never dated! And usually both have legal rights to the baby unless one of them thereafter gave up such rights in a legal setting.

Surrogate mom is more of an official arrangement where the mom gives up her rights from day one, and it can result through a third party company without sexual contact or through consensual sexual contact.

inferiority complex and slave mentality on display!!!

Not true!

It is a survival instinct, some people had to paid good money to learn that accent after been rejected in many interviews especially when you job or career is in a crowded field.

However for exceptional professionals in in-demand careers with fewer competition the employer or interviewer are usually forced to strain their ears to understand your foreign accent.

Also some people do it unintentionally, a Warri boy who speaks English very very fast with Warri accent, usually would adjust their accent and speed if e.g. they find themselves in Sokoto and have to live there, integrate with the Society there and make a living there.

You deal with them by completely ignoring them.

All that is being done is to instigate a response from you and given the heights of the manufactured lies against you, what they are not counting on is a non-response from you.

They are patiently waiting for that response and hopes in anger you will say or do something they will then hold on to in order to justify and placate their throbbing conscience.

Ignoring their existence would further heighten their guilty conscience.

The immediate term recovery and economic success of Nigeria, post the horrid and 'locust' rule of Buhari, is dependent on success in some critical areas.

Refining our crude endowment locally, into PMS and other commercially valuable derivatives of crude, is one of those critical 'anchors'.

Unless Tinubu deliberately wants to fail, then I am confident he will do all in his power to ensure our refineries work and remain working. I will even bet on that with anyone here.

Bottom line, you are entitled to your pessimism but let us not ignore proven reality to begin peddling wholesale lies and negative scaremongering propaganda up and down to satisfy our own agenda or bias.

Say what you will of Tinubu , and even hate him for whatever reason, but match that with a proven history of failure, rather than the reality of how Jagaban is universally acclaimed arguably the biggest political success story of Nigeria since our 1999 democracy began, and we can talk.

You cannot just begin arguing innanely that Messi and Christians Ronaldo are useless at football when the opposite is true and both are indeed two of the greatest footballers ever. That is what many of you show up here to argue daily in regards to Tinubu.

Bros, I don’t hate Tinubu and sincerely pray and wish that he succeeds. Nigeria is my motherland so if and when Tinubu succeeds, I will also reap the dividends of those success.

But, when you say, ‘proven reality of economic recovery’ what do you mean? What economic indicator are you citing?

What is the point of locally refining crude oil when the cost of the refined product is out of reach and will never come down?

The exclusive few rich have hijacked Nigeria and that has not changed under Tinubu, at least I have not seen any evidence.

The first sign of an unstable marriage is "kneel and propose."

My two cousins that went on two knees to propose to their wives are single fathers today.

Why you come dey drink Panadol for another person wahala?

Based on the statistics you have quoted, since kneeling to propose is the primary and main cause of marital problems and divorce, when it get to your turn just stand up and propose and BOOM 💥 all your potential marital problems would disappear.

Daddy's child, this is really a bad sign, but the guy isn't smart enough to decipher the meaning, the dad will practically dictates everything that happens in that marriage, my guess though

Not true!

Rather, in my opinion it is a good sign for the guy that he is of good morals and character.

She is very close to her dad and have learned the ingredients of a true love from a guy to a lady, because she have seen and experienced it from her dad.

These type of ladies can detect a fake guy and fake love from a mile away which will make them to choose correctly most of the times.

The father is married and knows the importance of non-interference in marriage and man are less emotionally and dramatic compared to women.

So he will analyze future potential issues factually without emotional attachment and since the daughter is very close to him and would listen to him, the father would help affirm some of what her husband wants to communicate in the future to her that is causing friction.

The only negative, which I don’t think is truly negative is, if the guy starts behaving in the future she will get the clues very early.

The Bible even said you should love your neighbor as yourself and not more than yourself.

You don’t owe anybody anything and stop showing people who have proven to you that they don’t care about you that you are nice.

They will feel that the only reason you are showing niceness towards them despite their despicable attitude towards is because they are entitled or you are trying hard to please them.
