Three things that the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Peter Ayo Fayose did yesterday, Friday October 23, 2014.

He swore in Mr Bamidele Omotoso as a Judge. Mr Omotoso was the chairman of the impeachment panel set up by Justice Jide Aladejana that found Fayose guilty on October 16, 2006. Omotoso was recommended to the then House of Assembly led by Hon. Friday Aderemi by Kayode Fayemi, Femi Falana, Femi Ojudu ( all of E11) . Two years ago, the NJC recommended Omotoso and two others to be swore in as judge but Governor Fayemi refused to swear him in on the excuse that he ( Omotoso) represented the PDP against him at the election petition tribunal. If Omotoso-led panel had not found Fayose guilty, Fayemi would not have been governor.

Another event is that of Mr Lawrence Ojo, the DPP who took warrant of arrest to the Ikoyi Prison, Lagos on the authority of Governor Segun Oni in January 2008 to bring Fayose to Ado Ekiti to be arraigned for murder of Dr Ayo Daramola and Tunde Omojola. Fayose was indeed smuggled to Ekiti but Ekiti people did not allow him to be brought into the court. The rest is now history. Fayose has approved his appointment as acting solicitor general, notwithstanding opposition against the appointment.

Kabiyesi Onisan, the monarch of Isan Ekiti, Fayemi's home town, had refused Fayose entry to Isan Ekiti to campaign during the electioneering process. Fayose has approved the monarch's request to lecture at the state university.

I wonder if most of the people commenting here think with their anus. In a state where there is no employment, no industries or companies, no major IGR except what we get from Abuja, in a state where the tertiary education is expensive and unaffordable to the masses, a governor went to borrow about 3.5bn to build govt house. Do u remember that Ekiti is the youngest state in the SW. How many state in the SW has built another govt house aside from what they have @ the inception? The former govt house has more than 10charlets. What is the new one meant for and why must he borrow to build a house for himself thinking he will win a second time? This is a governor who could not afford to leave just 1m naira in all the state acct. May God forgive some of you for nonsense things you write about Ekiti. Fayemi left Ekiti on Tuesday without suspending the curfew he imposed on the state. It's obvious the essence of the curfew is long overdue. Though he is yet to be sworn in, he has suspended the 7-7 curfew. Where is Fayemi to insist on the continuation of the curfew? Afterall he is still the governor till 12midnight of today. But alas the debtor don run comot for the state. So talk is cheap you can say anything about Fayose and Ekiti. Just as He(Fayose) said, his opponents should keep winning the media while he keeps winning the masses.

Salamic case is still fresh in Ekiti memories. What is happening presently in Ekiti is not about the tribunal but about the E-11 case against Fayose's eligibility to contest the election. The handwriting is boldly written that the judges have been bought by Fayemi. Their plan is to truncate thw October 16 swearing-in on Fayose. In fact the speaker of the house and his people are already jubilating as the plan is for him to be sworn in come oct 16. The fact is that Ekit people are tired of this APC govt. August salary has not been paid and Fayemi is embarking on thank you visit accross all the local govt. This man and his party are just using media to tarnish the personality of Fayose. Nasu-eksu is on strike, i'm not too sure if the college lecturers in Ikere have called off their strike too, yet our gov and his wife keep distributing cars and buses to Obas just because of his 2nd term agenda. what has he done about the challenges facing the higher institutions in the state that you now want MOB to tell ASUU to call off the strike. you have taken side ma, and in fact, a wrong side as such.
