LOL! Your perception of yourself is biased though, not that I expected you to be impartial about yourself. What you view as romanticism, is actually seen as a weakness by someone else. Take note. South African men may be all those things according to you. That's your outsider's view looking in, so don't take offence when I call you weak because that's also my outsider's view looking in. Let's allow each other the same freedom.

I don't think we will mourn you picking a Nigerian woman over us, That's your perfect match after all.

Culture / Re: Why Do African Americans Generally Have Lighter Skin Tone Than Africans? by Lionessza(f): 6:28am On Mar 21, 2018
XhosaNostra:
No, they aren't eg. Wesley Snipes, Kevin Hart, etc. If they were generally lighter in complexion, then people like Trevor Noah wouldn't be mistaken for a Mexican by black Americans.

Another thing is, America is a multiracial society, so I'm sure the people you carefully selected have mixed bloodline somewhere in their family tree.

Furthermore, not all Africans are darker. Some are lighter, which again depends on the racial makeup of each individual African countries. In South Africa for instance, people tend to be lighter because most of them have mixed ancestry (the good weather also lends a helping hand grin), ranging from Khoisan to Caucasian, that's what happens in countries where there's more than just one race-people sleep with each other & reproduce.

These are people we should round up and ship off the continent. They are dangerous. With that mentality they will sell of our land again, not even to get anything in exchange undecided Just to be associated to white people.

You know. Its people like these who were killed first by the freedom fighters. They are deadlier than the enemy angry

Exactly. But you can see why slavery was rampant in that part of the continent and it's still alive today . They were handed over their freedom, so maybe they want round two so that they can finally get a chance to fight for it.

LMFAO. Wowu. I'm really surprised that guys can do that too, I've only seen women. Usually the men are more composed & dignified throughout the ceremony. Honestly, I think I'd laugh if I saw a guy acting dramatic at a funeral. My sister once pinched me during a funeral. I just couldn't help laughing at this one guy. He had a speech impediment & probably a mental problem as well. He kept interrupting the priest, talking gibberish. It was funny. Oh well, they say kuyahlekwa even in death. So I indulged myself in the live comedy.

This thing of no invitations in our cultures is annoying, because even irritating people show up to dampen the mood. Mnxm.

Hahahaha, some people are funny .

I seriously don't like the no invitation culture , I only want close friends and family but it's " un-African " mxm . But if ever I would have i event enjeya, I would stick to my guns and pick only the people I want and maybe a few of those I dislike but can atleast tolerate lol.

Same here. I prefer to be private about my emotions. Not this "Look at meeeee, I'm cryyyyying" shtick some people pull at funerals to get attention. I got mad when another one wanted to throw herself on top of the coffin while it was being lowered into the trench. While the deceased was still alive, they didn't even get along. I wanted them to let her, so they can bury her alive! grin Such fakeness. It's so annoying because during the theatrics, the attention shifts from the dead person, to the actress. It's mostly the women. I've never seen a guy act like an attention whôre at a funeral. Get on with that guest list lol. Don't give them a chance for an acting gig. Kikikikiki.

I hear you. Nice smiley

Lol, you can say that again about the actresses . They should have buried her fake ass alive grin, what's wrong with some people though , why use such an event to be on the spotlight cheesy. I have seen one guy and it was hilarious grin, he kept on screaming his dead sister's name whom he had not been in contact with for about 3 years angry, like really undecided and he is a family member I dislike , for his acting skills lol.

I remember my friend being pissed at her wedding , her aunt ( that she dislikes lol) was hullilating and screaming even when not necessary cry. Doing the whole " see, no one is happier for you than I am, look everyone grin". It was so irritating , she kept on faking tears of joy , even though it was clearly all fake . The attention did shift from the bride and groom for sometime during her theatrics . Smh.

LMAO. Don't even get me started on drama queens at funerals. I'm even considering making a will with a guest list to boot. Certain people I don't want at my funeral because they have a habit of making the funeral about them. I won't have someone taking all the spotlight from me, on MY day grin

Did you cry? tongue

Lol, that's a nice idea , I should try it . Some people can be too much at funerals. Lol @ your day. I try to stay far away from cryers as I possible can , if you meant that much to me , I will weep uncontrollable when I'm alone . I hate feeling helpless cheesy.

They'll start off the same way they did last time ...

1. Sell off most of you to slavery to free up some land

2. Push the natives off the fertile places to make way for white settlers ...

3. Build an exclusive white town to provide employment for white kids and to build jails for black people...

4. They already have your oil. .. so, findo other minerals in Nigeria that they don't already own and begin exporting them back to their motherland.

5. Give you back your country after 70 years. When they are done ...

LMFAO, perfect post. But you know you are talking to people who don't mind being slaves or enslaving their own. What you described is what they long for, so you said nothing . Look at the response of the lazy goat who deserves to be stoned?. Hopelessness is written all over their posts. All you see is a bunch of destroyers trying to project their short- sightedness on all Africans. One step at a time is better than sitting our asses down , while things are getting out of hand ,..... only in Nigeria will you find youth that think Rome was built in a day or young people who want Rome but aren't willing to work for it , they expect it to be handed to them . Funny folks grin. Nothing is for free. I hope they get their whities back , clearly they didn't learn the first time round.

Oh my God, I am im trouble. Who told me to wake up a sleeping Lioness? Couldn't I have just read the thread and move on.This is what I always do that lands me in big wahala. Just because I think I am big strong and able to take on any beast that think they can make me cower just by strutting past me. And I do have a weakness- my eyes. They cagn't stop looking. Even if you are queen of the jungle, I will look, then I will inevitably have to make a move.
Now she is going to clutch me in her jaws umtil I surrender. Well, I will not! I am a king. I am a warrior. I shall fight with everything I have. Many have underestimated my power once only for them to encounter me and go away telling many tales about my strength and stamina.

These beast never dies. If you surrender early and and submit to the king of the jungle, I might let you limp away to increase my fame.

So you are the strong , resilient type of beast ? The type that drives Lionesses mad. Great to know. Your weakness is ...looking ? Just what Lionesses want to hear from strong uncontrollable beasts , this might be your undoing . know that you don't look at a lioness once , glance once yes , but after that you will stare and that's when the hypnosis starts grin. She knows strong beasts are natural show offs, and she has not time for meekness either. Lionesses are predicatable and agrresive in their approach , but when it comes to the strong beast ,she knows she can't just pounce on you like she does to little beasts, her charm , her ability to fascinate and flatter, are the weapons used to tame a wild beast , preparing it for the final conquer . The beast must believe that the queen of the jungle is harmless to him, let his guard down and sleep with both his eyes closed in the presence of the lioness. That's when she attacks, the beast is helpless , he doesn't know what is happening and how to respond to the attack. When she feels he is too strong and can overpower her , she will release him from her jaws and claws but not before biting and scratching him to leave him tainted for life , cats are naturally spiteful after all wink . The scars left will scare away any beastess, they will know that you are a marked beast ....marked and owned by the lioness ....forever . You are now a no go zone, no one wants to play in the same field as the queen , playing in her territory means death for the other beastesses.

You must surely come back to beg to be devoured by the queen grin.

I can't make up my mind until Lionessza reassures me also. Lioness her, she might just decide to devour this gentle lamb.

Lionesses aren't built to be gentle , they are aggressive hunters . Nothing they love more than catching a big ,dangerous prey grin . There is something about catching and entrapping a beast inside the jaws of a lioness that excites her, but the prey has to struggle for some time before it bows down and let's her have the final say . Nothing bores her like an easy kill. Seeing the beast try by all means to stay alive , even though she knows it's death is inevitable inside her jaws , excites her the more , but the final fulllfilment is on watching it blow up all over her clutched jaws . The satisfaction in seeing a once promising , strong animal lifeless, infront her grin. Nothing funnier than an overworked dead beast, it looks pathetic grin.

Are you a beast or you the little easy kill? . XhosaNostra can watch me doing the devouring, let's call it a transfer of skills from one animal to another grin grin.

Romance / Re: Ladies, Must It Always End Up In Marriage? by Lionessza(f): 8:32am On Mar 19, 2018
Don't generalize, not all women are crazy over the marriage thing or are willing to do anything to get a husband.

I'm a glad you said you are of the " opinion ". Here is a different opinion; many women have not been " helped " by marriage either . They have to go to work like the man does , bring up the kids , take care of the home . In many of these relationships, you will find out the man only has one duty , to bring home the paycheck. While the woman slaves away in both the job and home front. So who benefits the most here ? . In this write up, you only focused on the scenario of a man being the sole breadwinner and the woman being the home maker.

Btw , if you marry the wrong person , you will surely suffer. People have a tendency of marrying people because they feel they owe them that, " we've been together for 5 years , so it makes sense to tie the knot". Not necessarily, you should first look out for your own happiness and sanity before considering how someone else will be hurt by your decision not to marry them.
You mentioned;

*Stability , do you have a clear plan on how you will achieve both your dreams without one having to give up a lot of themselves ? . If you have sat down and considered both your situations and come up with a workable plan, and stick to it , why won't you have stability?.
* peace , do your temperaments complement each other ? You can't have two hot heads in a healthy relationship and expect peace . Do you have an understanding of how you will handle time with friends and extended family ?. What about party life , are guys going to do it together, or are you both done with that? This is very important as it can lead to a lot of conflicts .
* comfort, if you choose someone who sees things the way you do , I don't see why you should be uncomfortable. You will both have peace of mind if you are clear about what you want, and don't run around pretending you are OK with something even when you hate it. Transparency from the get go is key.
* independence, I'm not sure what you mean by this. But if you are talking about roaming the streets anytime you want without letting your partner know or them being ok with it, then you shouldn't be in a serious relationship. You can have your *me *time , and chill with your mates without your partner but they have to know where and until when. It's called being responsible and considerate .
