I am hodophilic and particularly enjoy long road trips. Traveling, whether for business or pleasure, gives me a sense of adventure, which I relish. On the flip side, no matter how interesting a trip appears at first, boredom sets in after several hours on the road, especially if you’re traveling solo. It’s even worse if you’re seated next to someone who isn’t a good converser. Long journeys can take several hours, and you can’t afford to waste those hours. I usually prefer to use my road time to unwind than for work-related activities. All work and no play…you know the rest. Therefore, rather than sitting in the car, engrossed in terrifying thoughts about work and family issues, here are my favorite road trip pastimes to make every minute worth the while.
