Everything the OP said in this thread i totally agree with him, writing from experience. It is only God that is keeping my marriage if not for loooong my marriage would have gone down the drain. My wife came from a broken home and i can tell you for free that this thing tells on the marriages of the children, especially if the home was broken when the children were still kids. But if the home was broken when the kids are grown up, it may not have much effect on them because at that age they already know what is good and bad so they can judge to a large extent if the fault is from their mum or dad and then they will strive to avoid those loopholes in future to ensure their marriage do not end like that of their parents. But you see all these ones that broke up when their children are still kids? It takes the grace of God and a very good upbringing on the part of the mum to enable them to stay in marriage. In summary, my brother if you marry a lady from a broken home, you will fight a lot of spiritual battles to keep your home. Its best if the lady has the same understanding because it becomes easy when both of you are fighting the devil together. But its a big battle but if you dont give up but hold on to God and be steadfast in prayers, you will surely overcome. Take it or leave it.
