Your bucket will get stolen sometimes you could be lucky to find it after 2 years.

You fetch your bathing water overnight to use early morning, you securely chain your bucket to the bed but the water inside is still vulnerable,I saw one drained perfectly with a hose......no bath for you the whole day......sometimes 3 people share a single bucket of water to bath.

Bandits had been existing in bosrding houses long before BH started disturbing our peace......they break into your locker and steal your provisions.

Cutleries,books,socks,sandals,desks,underwear etc anything and everything gets stolen in the boarding house.

There are two major driving force of cost of goods in Nigeria.. its petrol cost but more the exchange rate because we are largely an import dependent nation….

Infact, Data showed recently that the jump of petrol price from 775 to 1400 has not dramatically increased price of all goods…
which proves the major driver is the exchange rate…. If exchange rate doubled today the way petrol did…. Cars, books,, sugar, cement, condoms, the cost of everything would have gone up times 4 in less than a week… even petrol will jump up than this because importers are and Dangote and buying crude in dollars

How do you expect private companies to cover for incresed minimum wage,more monies in the hands of people will push prices up......we arent self sufficient in food in anyway thereby our output isn't meeting our demand despite shoring up with imports.....if 5 ship loads of rice comes into this country we will consume all within the shortest possible time despite our low wages but if you increase wages with same level of supply we will have higher demand for rice which is a Nigerian staple as many who couldn't afford higher quantities can an will demand more for immediate consumption and storage and the market will respond accordingly.

Truth be told more needs to be done on our wages. You don't live in Nigeria. I spend over 100k on feeding every month. Then we can discuss bills, clothing, transportation, school fees. It's crazy... People end up begging to fill the gap. I know it didn't start from this present administration but we need to do more about our minimum wage it's crazy. It's always been crazy. The wage isn't the problem but what is the output of the entire Nigerian economy our gdp is about $252b with a population of about 220m the brings our per capita to just about $1,250,thats the output of every citizen in a year......now juxtapose that with Qatar with a lesser gdp of $213b with a population of just 3.3m would give you a per capita of $71k.....hence the higher wages you have over there.

If govt doubles the minimum wage in Nigeria now without commensurate level of production expect inflation to go up too.....expect a 59kg bag of rice to go up from 53k to about 80k,house rent to increase etc......
