lexy2014:Well done bot!! |
lexy2014:It's on record that Nigeria faired best when we practiced regionalism as against what we have now.....even LG chairmen would point fingers at abuja for not being able to provide basic education or primary health care......more responsibility means more resources and thats what LG autonomy seeks to solve. Our security architecture has been parlous over the years due to inefficient command structures....domesticate security and let the people be in charge of their security which they have been doing in many parts of Lagos already.....the dpo to the nearest division in my area isn't even known to many and has no link what so ever with the locality....how do you get such to be committed to his duty. |
coleon:You pay more for owning private cars as against public transport.....if fuel isn't taxed and too affordable it would lead to misuse and waste.....many people are now adjusting to using public transport and ride sharing also work from home initiatives are being introduced across various organisations which as been been proven not to diminish productivity at all. Noisy generators use in residential areas are on the decrease and power is slightly improved......their is far more efficient use of energy now and transport infrastructure which is a good thing. The rice initiative if the govt though not the best approach is just a stop gap till we are able to improve on our food production. |
Tokskob2008:If prices of staple food can come down inflation itself would come down.....make food available to the people in abundance then tax other secondary needs properly such as petrol, private cars, alcohol and luxury items tax the rich heavily to sustain the poor!! |
blackmantis:While we haven't been able to achieve that, should people now die if hunger. |
abibun:The yar adua / GEJ era reversed a lot of progress we would have built on after obj...... |
Peter obi also brought a brewery to Anambra which still stands!! |
lexy2014:Keep sounding like a broken record!! If you are bereft of fact to counter my assertions....keep wallowing in your ignorance,I can't help u |
lexy2014:You help me with this....is Nigeria working the way it is currently structured Why would a state gov not be able to pay 70k minimum wage. You can call it distraction but I call it long Overdue. I have been following politics since 1991 and I know the ideological stand of all the 3 presidential aspirants in the last election and I know this has always been what tinubu had been clamouring for when he was in opposition so I would rather support it because true federalism is the solution to our problems. |
tishbite42:It is easy to make fun of the people killed in Yobe State. They brought it upon themselves by voting for Tinubu. Keep on dancing on their graves. Carry on, Yoruba man Did I type this for u....why would you blame tinubu for that irresponsible govs actions.....someone that even lost that state to atiku......at least if you want to criticise,do so intelligently.......hate him all you want he is your commander in chief |
Newfoundlove:Food inflation has reduced but it's those who hate tinubu so much are the once refusing to acknowledge it.....even in the south yam, garri, pepper etc are all reducing in prices but those blinded by hate would never acknowledge this little changes that matter.....I agree things are still bad with the economy but little things like this also matter. |
tishbite42:Say only what you know and stop disgracing urself ...atiku won yobe in the last election!! |
lexy2014:You are only spinning your own narrative to an imperative action that would set the ground norm for a great country we all seek just because I hate tinubu's face......it doesn't matter who does it so far it's what will augur well for us all,it's long over due .....with this policy, the power of Abuja will be greatly diminished and more responsibility given to states. As for state that can't take on 70k minimum wage,I already told you that is a very lame escapist analogy by the lazy govs who want status quo to remain to their own benefit.....if you support them good luck to you!! No gov has no excuse not to pay 70k minimum wage......there will be a provision in the law that will make states start state policing when they are ready to,such states will still make use of the federal police buts states that can would be allowed to go ahead. Hate tinubu all you want but he is one of the most purposeful politicians we have in the south alongside Wike, they are bold and have the political will to push anything they want unlike GEJ.....nobody can push them around remember it was Wike that brought up the vat matter, tinubu has brought lg autonomy and state police, this are what we need to set us on a pedestal for development no more Abuja controling what happens in your LGA. |
And some people still want us to keep depending on okada and keke in a mega city like Lagos......this is what govs should be doing not just sitting their arses down and waiting for allocation from Abuja.....if we had five govs with tlsame energy as these Lagos guys Nigerian in 5 yes would be Eldorado. That one in rivers, instead of developmental projects like this is busy doing nah we dey dia!! What is delta doing, kaduna,Kano, ondo, ogun what are they all doing.....but they are always quick to blame tinubu for Nigeria's woes and some people blinded by hate will keep urging them on to their own detriment!! |
tishbite42:What about those killed during Jonathan's tenure, did they bring that on themselves for voting PDP? |
dumahi:This is an opposition write up....it reeks pdp all over it.however ,I agree that buni is a manifestly inept and highly corrupt gov who has failed his people severally.....these are the govs we are complaining are doing nothing other than receive allocations and lavish away while their people wallow in abject poverty and suffering....but it's tinubu everyone will be blaming for Nigeria:s woes!! |
Kobicove:Stop procrastinating......if you don't want it in Ur state I want it in mine.....we are no more ethno religiously bias than an average American.....there are class struggles still going on the developed world till today and there is also deep seated animosity and divide among races and ethnicities in america just as we have here but what keeps them in check are the strong institutions they have and that has evolved over centuries.....that also started from somewhere and didn't become perfect overnight.....we shouldn't be afraid to start too. |
Sleekfingers:That's why I laugh at all this people always criticising tinubu for Nigeria's problems.....it's obvious they don't deep understanding understand of what our problems really are as a country and the sad thing is that they are in the majority and don't know anything about how development comes about. |
lexy2014:Leaders with foresight is what we have been lacking as a country but this one seems to have the political will to right some wrongs we have been suffering for a long time......you have heard stories of certain tribes killing certain locals over land or livestock, the CP or gov can't act immediately to check them because they have to await directive from Abuja which may be delayed or may never come.....that's the problem we are facing with our current security architecture. Govs for too long have been hiding under Abuja and pointing fingers to cover their own ineptitude now they are getting blown out of the water as more responsibility is being pushed to them, how can a gov say he can't pay 70k minimum wage and you agree with him, that's nothing but BS,if you aren't competent, leave the damn place for those who can. I tell you, this policing move and LG autonomy are the game changers that would steer us towards wholistic development as a country especially the sub nationals......some regions are contributing so much to our GDP while some are doing absolutely nothing....we cant continue like this....... everything isn't tinubu,Buhari or Jonathan,Nigeria as a country is defective and we need to start changing things for our own good. |
Kobicove:Then you aren't ready to solve Nigeria's problems.....the neo colonialist police establishment we currently run is absolutely dysfunctional and is one of the roots of our problems as a country.....Abuja controls everything, this needs to stop.....with state police locals would be the once doing the policing, they would reside in their domains with their families and would be properly vested in the locality......the reason our leaders get away with what they do is because yhey can easily run to abuja for protection over what is happening in ikor abassi but with this new approach thats no more. |
You are right from the perspective you are coming from also Mytime, We believed that Our politicians are not civilised enough and tolerant of opposing views and cannot preside over a competent and impartial police force Cos we remembered, When in 2018 there was a summit to consider the establishment of State Police, there was a counter argument by the late Abubakar Tsav, a retired police commissioner, that the establishment of state police will signal the beginning of the disintegration of the country, as governors would use the institution against their perceived political opponents. State and federal police commands are also likely to work at cross-purpose. Our additional reasons of concern are that we have very serious ethnic and religious divides in the country at this time and many governors believe that if they have their own police, they can deal with the other. For example, the pastoralists and farmers conflicts have been intensifying in many states and some governors have clear proclivities of seeking to expel or protect pastoralists in their states, opening the doors to a new dimension of identity conflicts that would deepen the crisis facing the Nigerian state today. Some of us at MANNA remembered back then while growing up when we use to have regional/state police back in our darling country, But, native police forces were abolished and they ceased to exist, beginning from February 1968. Nevertheless, existing personnel in these forces were recruited into the Nigerian Police Force as a unitary federal agency of the Nigerian government. This structure has continued to the present day. All said and done, It will bring more good than bad. There are much more merits in this than demerits. A better Nigeria 🇳🇬 all around is all we want at MANNABBQGRlLLS. God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬 🙏 We Rise ✔️
State policing is the right way to go,infact every southerner should welcome this....this is true federalism taking shape.....no gov can use state police against the people as those who would be used would be locals in the states where everyone knows everyone..... security operatives would reside in their domains with their families, this wil bring about better synergy between the police and the people, they would be known by the people they are protecting.....the reason politicians get away with the malfeasance they commit is because they are far from the people and can easily run to abuja for protection but with yhis new approaches together with LG Autonomy, power is gradually coming to the people. |
SocialJustice:It's the best thing that would happen together with full LG autonomy...... people who reason like you obviously don't know that Nigeria's problem is systemic and we can't achieve anything with this defective structure we are having. Tinubu is getting certain things right but we know it can't be perfect from the beginning but it's never too late to start. |
ogaontop:There mob mentality drives everyone else away!! Only if obi knows how much damage they are doing to his ambition |
ogaontop:To obidients who think this is a big deal. |
madridguy:This people should stop disturbing us abeg ..... someone paid that much duty, was the person a ghost ABI nah sand he take pay? We need names of the importers and not all this lucid assertions, criminal calling another criminal. ![]() |

Pepperdemisback:That burial ceremony is as loud as loud can be!! The hearse was equally grandiose...dem try abeg |
Bullfallo:Is it with buckets you would carry the fuel from Lagos........the refineries are about to be put up fir concession, you can as well tell Ur SS state govs to apply for the PH and warri refineries so you can be having fuel at 300 naira per liter!! |
Penguin2:Only if you know how much damage this act can cause to your LP,you would be sad.......LP has played into the hands of those willing to destroy it's chances come 2027......why do you think PDP has been wiser managing Wike and damagum despite their obvious anti party activities. Otti and obi has gone to stir the hornets nest and brought home ant infested wood.....this crisis will go on till 2027 and would distract and weaken the party even further. |
vanbonattel:Earn your pay.....clap for yah sef!! |
Emu4life:.where I come from 56 is still considered young and wouldn't elicit this much celebration....cultures are different though!! |
AnambraPeople:Not a single pic of the dead woman but those of smiling merry makers still alive.....funerals have no bearing on the dead but a glorification to the living. |
