It's still cheaper than the landing cost for imported fuel....the stock he has,he bought in USD.....it's in Oct that that the naira crude would start hitting the refinery,we envisage a drop at that point.

Energy Supply getting stable, did NBS release special stats to you alone...you are so quick to label DRL as a product of this administration, you forget that it is a Limited Liability Company, it is Private not govt sponsored. The refineries Nigeria has, what has the govt done with them ??
Naira sits comfortably at 1,600+, since this is what you are happy about...

The naira has been devalued simple, Nigeria isn't the first country to do so......do you even have any idea how dollar rates are determined.....past govts have been spending huge sums to defend the naira that's why you have been getting the seemingly low rates we had in this past but this low rates have been more of a disadvantage to our economy because we do not appreciable production capacity......low rates lead to high import demand for even things that has no value to the economy thereby encouraging consumerism.

The currency now devalued has discouraged importation and forcing more people to look inwards for local alternatives where necessary.....this will make imports more expensive and make exports cheaper there by encouraging production......so that 1,600 you see is actually the real value of the naira and not the artificial 450 u had been used to in the past.

Oil production and marketing should totally be a local collective effort; using an Indian with no emotional attachment to our people is a risk because Indians lack apathy and humanity. When they import, it is sold between 700 to 800 naira but when Dangote produces it in Nigeria, it sold between 900 to 1200 naira. Nigeria is a crime scene and Dangote is evil

Same people like you were the one shouting that govt was paying subsidy through the back door as landing cost of 1,300 far exceeds what we are past the pump.

Now you see the price dangote rolled out which,it's still cheaper than if it was imported and there is currently no subsidy.....let's appreciate.

Naira is now stable as against the doomsday projections of pessimist like you who were shouting that naira will get to over 2k.

There is manifest stability on the macro level but we only need to get things to cascade down positively down to the people.

Food inflation has been dealt with over the last couple of months except you want to deny something so obvious.

Oga go and read the article properly and show me where they retracted anything. What made OVH, a private company linked to the president, change its name to NNPC? Why did they dissolve the initial Company NNPC Retail? If NNPC Retail acquired OVH as they've been claiming since 2023, shouldn't it be OVH dissolving its assets and transferring to NNPC retail? Why is it the other way round?

Finally, now I can upload pictures. Oya look closely at the RC numbers of the 3 screenshots I just posted. The REAL NNPC RETAIL have been dissolved, while OVH have been changed to NNPC Retail.

How has tinubu captured NNPC retail it's very clear that tinubu's oando had already divested from ovh since 2019.....OVH was acquired in 2022 before tinubu was president.

OVH had more assets than NNPC retail in the downstream......take that to the bank.

It's clearly stated even in your evidence that the acquisition was stated in stages and the final stage is where the name has been reverted back to NNPC retail with all parties approaching the courts to enforce.....many are just screaming blue murder without really comprehending the details.

NNPC retail still exists as that entity and this much as been adduced to buy your information purveyor as recent as last week......the CAC portal more often than not isn't real time and usually doesn't update information immediately,this much I know,check back in a few days to verify.

What I expect you to be telling us is how tinubu or is cronies are attached to the NNPC retail board which you still haven't been able to proof beyond hearsay.

Obaseki used this same people to get his second term but they are now all against him.... The fight with the legacy PDP in edo was needless, then you still pick fights with your deputy and even the revered traditional institutions..... Without these people there was no way oshiomole wouldn't have eaten obaseki raw in 2020 but here he is doing same thing he did to his benefactor.....I remember very well in 2020 in the run up to the elections when both parties were called to the oba's palace.....the oba manifestly inferred that he asked oshiomole in 2016 when he was still in uselu useh performing his coronation rights,when he wanted to present obaseki if he was sure about his choice considering the antecedents of his family and oshiomole assured him on obaseki then.....but obaseki has never failed to disappoint anyone as regards his flippancy and betrayals.

The acquisition of NNPC retail that you are referring to was done sept 2022 before tinubu became president.

OVH is a tripartite partnership between 3 companies......oando, vitol and Helios,oando on the other hand which everyone is referring to as tinubu's interest has divested from ovh since 2019.

NNPC retail was never wound up when handed over to ovh,the controlling stake was still being held by NNPCL and has now been reverted back to NNPC retail as we speak.

The media outfit which you have quoted had already come out to retract their earlier publication on the matter inferring that tinubu with his oando- which in itself is outlandish ,was acquiring NNPC retail and premium times

Your claims are quite preposterous....NNPCL has a board that has been in place long before now and it's public knowledge who the members are.....ovh was bought over by NNPCL and not the other way round.....ovh now ceases to exist because NNPCL has swallowed them up....I don't understand your inference that public assets are being transferred to private hands.....pls kindly get your facts right.

You are on point on this......the subsidy removal and the naira devaluation were 2 very hard pills to swallow at once.....you could have removed subsidy and use that differential to defend the naira till the economy is able to overcome the shock of the subsidy removal.

If the naira was still as it was pre devaluation....fuel prices wouldn't still exceed 550 to 600 max.

I never said there aren't pipelines to the refinery.....I am only adducing that presently the only means of getting crude to DRL I'd by vessels.

Subsidy has always been there. If the PMS is fully deregulated, you will buy petrol at 1,300 at the minimum

Which would you rather prefer,as it is now or we should e buying at the deregulated price.....the cacophonous harbingers about how tinubu has made fuel expensive are to me the most confused lot......its neither here nor their,you are shouting tinubu is bad for getting fuel prices this high and same ones are still ranting that subsidy is being paid through the back door.
