PoliticsRe: Petrol Price Per Litre Angola Vs Nigeria by Lithiumite: 7:16am On Mar 19
Kukutente23:
Increased allocation has more to do with naira devaluation and increase in VAT than subsidy removal
Are you saying Nigeria was not servicing debts or increasing wages of workers before subsidy removal? Are you saying Nigeria was not building roads before subsidy removal?
You've not been able to mention any tangible benefit of subsidy removal
How would you have been able to do anything with a debt service to revenue ratio of 96%,weren't you old enough during gej era when madam okonjo was screaming to high heavens that Nigeria was borrowing to pay salaries even into Buhari’s, govt was borrowing to cover both capital and recurrent that he had ro resort to ways and means running into 30 trillion naira all these is no more under tinubu thanks tobthe subsidy removal on both petrol and the dollar, the old ways were unsustainable even gej was crying out during is time that Nigeria would bleed to debt with the subsidy regime.

You claim it was devaluation that led to increased allocations to states, you are partly correct but thats not the full story, how come states aren't owing salaries anymore compared to the era of subsidy despite increase in minimum wages, how come many could now carry out more projects as against that era atleast they said so themselves.
PoliticsRe: Petrol Price Per Litre Angola Vs Nigeria by Lithiumite: 6:26am On Mar 19
ZombieDredd:
And what have you done with the funds?
What were you expecting the funds be done with......the increased allocations to your state where did you think the money is coming from, your foreign reserve, debt servicing obligations, all those road projects......the minimum wage increment, nelfund etc where do you think all that money is coming from......need I also remind you that the salaries of military men was just increased,a private, the least rank would now be earning about 300k monthly as againstvthe paltry 85k before ......if subsidy wasn't removed much of this might not have been possible.....if subsidy were to continue the givt would have had no choice but to tax heavily that everyone would have been crying so much.

Oga!! Get your facts right, there is still fuel subsidy in Angola, what they did was partial removal as against the full removal we have here.
PoliticsRe: Petrol Price Per Litre Angola Vs Nigeria by Lithiumite: 6:42pm On Mar 18
Petrol is still being subsidised in Angola and the govt is assidously working to end it

I am yoruba but this is hogwash from igboho......he needs to change his spokesman, very poor........igboho has joined partisan politics, its within his rights to do so,if pastors and imams can endorse candidates whats wrong with igboho doing same.........mnk and igboho dont share same ideologues and their approach is different but they are all well within their rights to pursue their interests.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Makinde Wants To Replace Wike As FCT Minister – Deji Adeyanju by Lithiumite: 7:10am On Mar 18
I really pity makinde,he is in a huge fix right now....can't go forward, any go back, cant go right, cant go left....... he won the battle but lost the war.......his head on confrontation was needless.....negotiate,share the exco with wike, annoint your successor to build your base.....all these he should have done first before forming rambo.

APC is only interested in one party so that only the certificate forger can contest. A monumental failure that cannot win any election
Is that why the opposition shouldn't do the right things, simple errors such as this is unacceptable from a party thats suppose to bring hope and serve as a credible option for Nigerians......is it tinubu that told David mark to go and be a member of 2 political parties.

Headed to where? APC government supervising the rampant terrorism going on in Nigeria.

Who your politics epp, if you can't defeat the terrorists?
No wonder you guys avoided the bombing thread by bokoharam.
Don't worry, that will be taken care of in due time, trust tinubu whom we all know is about the most pragmatic leader we have had since say obj......we have every confidence in him that he will handle the problem of insecurity......state police is already one major step in that regard.....the only point I will agree with you is that he should expedite action on the issue if insecurity, it is pertinent he does so ASAP.
PoliticsRe: 2027: I’ll Work For Tinubu’s Reelection, Says Governor Adeleke by Lithiumite: 8:51pm On Mar 17
Whyvis everybody avoiding adc, these guys who have privileged access to classified info about where the country is headed politically are showing you where the future lies but obidients who only have a mobile phone and a couple of deluded friends will continue to ignorantly juxtapose them........they will then come wailing rigging when the facts are being laid bare even for the blind to see.

It's the President's directive that's the subject of this thread...I simply compared the present President's directive to a similar one issued by his predecessor

Whether it is or will be complied with is another issue..we have till March 31st to see how that pans out...No carry us enter bush
Does tinubu look like gej or buhari to yiu, does tinubu strike you as someone who stands aloof or play to the gallery.......all these are measured and calculated steps to ensure there wouldn't be any rancor or distractions for his govt going into 27.....anyone that falls into that category would definitely need to that order......trust tinubu on that.

Where does that happen tbat a president and his vice seeking re election should resign, then who fills the vacuum, you i guess? Seek knowledge and stop being ignorant.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Visits Malami After Release From Prison On Charges Of Corruption by Lithiumite: 8:27pm On Mar 17
esnbrutality:
Didn't same TINUBU praise El Rufai and still slammed him into prison?

Now because of Political survival he is releasing all the people he jailed senselessly.

The question that needs to be asked is this. .what becomes of the SW after TINUBUs Government exits.

SW....will bear the brunt of their actions and all crys of Southern UNITY from dem will fall on STONES, as SOUTHERN UNITY IS DEAD. angry
Did malami steal or not? His case is still in court and the last I checked he still has that to answer.......you think tinubu is as dumb as you are to keep malami in prison against the rule of law so you rudderless obidients can start wailing that he is a despot........tinubu is far ahead of anything you guys can fathom, continue your defeatist politics we already turned the corner.

And about you wishing evil on the SW, it's obvious you are only a peurile reactionary without any knowledge of the dynamics of this country and it's history......go ask tafawa balewa,go ask ojukwu,go ask ibb,go ask abacha,go ask GEJ.......the SW remains the most vociferous region no govt wants in opposition.

givedemwotowoto:
Understandable. You can't get through most Nigerians unless you go through their leaders

Believe it or not, Malami has followers that won't listen to you unless their leader tells them to

Peter Obi will be judged based on his achievements as President.

People are judging Tinubu based on his failures as President, not based on who he met with during campaign
Dey play......malamu that can't win his LG in kebbi is the one you and your obi are banking on to win you the north.......if ADC get mind make them give obi ticket.....I will be the happiest man in earth and immediately congratulate tinubu in advance.
PoliticsRe: Senator Phillip Aduda Resigns From The PDP by Lithiumite: 8:12pm On Mar 17
Bennycollins:
Obi did not contest elections in the FCT, did he?
If the FCT people could prefer your so called non indigene to their own dear popular indigene because of Obi, then that popularity should be questioned.
The elecions were held the same day and LP won Abuja with obi on the ballot for president,it's only normal for LP candidates running for other legislative seats to benefit from that.....that's how most elections work in Nigeria......if you are a political analyst that shouldn't be too difficult to know.
PoliticsRe: Senator Phillip Aduda Resigns From The PDP by Lithiumite: 5:17pm On Mar 17
Bennycollins:
So popular that he lost to an unknown lady.
The unknown lady rode on the obi wave in 23,she isn't anywhere close to Phillip aduda based on popularity in tbe fct, first he is an indigene while she is not.......the last council elections tell it all, ireti kingibe has no reckoning at all in the fct,she couldn't even win a ward for her party.

TravelRe: Nigerian Man In UK Laments After Buying 53 Liters Of Fuel For £97 (Photo, Video) by Lithiumite: 4:29pm On Mar 17
SeriouslySense:
Is not just the Fuel prize. From what he is saying, another inflation has come like double inflation, first trigger was Ukraine and now second second trigger the strait of Hurmuz.

What happens when one of the major route for shipping crude oil is blocked. Most of the ships carry crude oil or refined oil to major consumers like Europe, USA and China. Crude oil is used in other industries to make pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, natural gas, and more. Without enough supply, the price goes up, and other industries are affected.

Although Saudi Arabia, has created an alternative route, but it would take a long time to build infrastructure to match demand.

Therefore we are looking at another recession. Less Jobs, more costs in general. So it is not just fuel, its food, accomodation, transportation, Medical care etc.
Don't mind those empty heads....imagine them lampooning the guy for complaining like its only obidients that have the right to complain just because they hate tinubu.......do they mean prices of things should keep going up abroad just because they feel the citizens earn more.
TravelRe: Nigerian Man In UK Laments After Buying 53 Liters Of Fuel For £97 (Photo, Video) by Lithiumite: 4:25pm On Mar 17
Nchoje34:
Minimum wage in UK is around £1500 per month and you can get up to 700 liters with that rate

This people should stop deceiving us by making us feel UK is not for the weak
So you are the only one that has right to complain because you hate tinubu......have you factored in how much they pay in taxes, rent water, gas.
TravelRe: Nigerian Man In UK Laments After Buying 53 Liters Of Fuel For £97 (Photo, Video) by Lithiumite: 4:21pm On Mar 17
Dotherightthing:
Dullards have come again o

1. Minimum wage is NOT NGN70,000. After allowances added, it comes to NGN110,000

2. Many Nigerians earn far more than minimum wage(bankers, telcom workers, oil company workers etc etc).
Dish washer in amala joint earns 1,500 daily......poor people dey disturb country o but keke guys earn about that 120k in a week.

Nothing pisses e off than these guys abroad that makes it look surviving outside the country is a difficult thing.

I no blame am Sha na bad governance I dey blame
Those guys you see especially in Europe love on a budget, their lives are planned and not just spontaneous living like we do over here......a little change in price of anything will drive anxiety and affect a lot of things.

It's we nigerians that adapt easily and quickly to anything......it was only an increase in the price of bread that led to the Arab spring......you heard it right, bread!!
