Damn the Damn! Where have i mentioned that you don't pay takes......for everyone like you within the tax net, there are 4 others outside it.....so if you see the tax as a burden or counter productive, there are 4 others who don’t care but we we all get into that bracket and we all see govt taking that much from us,we will all seat up and hold that givt responsible. |

What is the meaning of this and why is it allowed?
Our mumu suppose don do.

What is wrong with that......dangote isn't the only refinery in nigeria so why should he get preferential treatment......he is only trying to be smart by half......rather than do what dangote is asking,I rather remove tarrif on renewable energy equipments such as solar and electric vehicles,if these can compete effectively with fossil fuel in the country, it will generally drive down the demand for pms...... |

Memphis357: Tinubu is on a mission to kill Nigeria. "I went to school when Goodluck Jonathan was President. That was during Nigeria's economic boom. Yet, I saw people struggle to pay N12k for school fees. I saw people come to school with N2k, N5k as pocket money. Some came with foodstuff and "remember the home you came from."
Flight to Benin was between N12k to N18k. I usually went to school, filling the biggest travelling box with provision, and it cost me N30k to do that. My pocket money was between N25 to N30k and it was sufficient. I was feeding my friends in hostel and was named most generous person in the hostel. I went to a to secondary school with children of the rich, so I already knew the other reality of life. What I was seeing in UNIBEN was a far cry. To do everything I listed above today, you need over 500k because this government has plunged us into darkness.
Now, in 2026, when our lives should have significantly improved from the progress made by the GEJ government, we went from the clueless Buhari to k!eller of hope Tinubu. Exchange rate is over the roof. Flight is exorbitant. Feeding is a luxury. School fees is out of the reach of two income household. People are dy!ng daily because they cant afford health care. The government is taxing people to d£ath. Yet, we have cl0wns defending the cost of living in a country that minimum wage is N70k.
Meanwhile, the money released for health care of 200m people was N36 million naira. NNPC stole N210 Trillion but it is the masses that should be taxed to raise money and the masses that should have to endure economic hardship and pay exorbitant fee to get the available po0r quality education. Today, people are paying above 100k to 500k for public education. Nons£nse!
I am very convinced you people defending this are m@d and with all due disrespect, you're very m@d........"

You pay tax when you shop in the supermarket, you pay tax when you subscribe your paytv, you pay lots of indirect taxes but yoh no go know.
Mind you, the salaries that government workers earn in this country is not worth it still they pay tax All these is what the new tax law seeks to regularise by harmonising the various taxes and. Rates so you have a bearing on govt finances nd eliminate all this illegal charges.......you nust be ready to pay taxes if you want all these you ask......nigerians are forever under the illusion that Nigeria is super rich which isn't true considering our revenues with our GDP......we aren't even as rich as texas a single state in the US. When tax administration becomes effective, people will begin to get more involved in govt and hold them more accountable also govt would be forced to provide all the necessary amenities to enable you to be more productive to pay taxes......but right now fovt doesn't seem to care about the citizens much because they don't depend on them for income. |

There is an international cartel called OPEC that controls crude output and prices which Nigeria is obligated to as a member.......tinubu cannot determine how much crude is to be sold........lets accept without conceding that tinubu can decide that dangote should get his petrol cheaper than international rates just so you can get cheap petrol, you will still get to pay more because you have further incentivised smuggling which will attract higher prices than you are willing to pay and marketers will be willing to sell to them cause of higher margins and you would have only little to fight over thereby causing scarcity forcing you to pay more, now who looses? |
