If that happens it can be possible to capture forty million businesses and the CAC will be generating 200 billion naira per annum for the federal government and that is around one percent of the income from oil and gas.

Then after paying the proposed annual registry maintenance fees, the companies would be statutorily expected to file PAYE, VAT and CIT returns to the States and federal government as the case maybe. That will be a minimum of forty million mostly new people in the personal income tax net.

In a well organized country, if you have a business and you can't pay yourself a minimum wage, then government will feel obliged to find you a job that can pay more than minimum wage so that you can pay personal income tax
