yourshopkwikguy: It can't be billion but million. OP please confirm if this an error 829 billion will construct a new world-class airport As of 2010 if good wants to build something and the indigens planted trees there, government would pay for each single tree no matter the amount this is separate from the land compensation. Even after that if the government delay the project they might still plant and enjoy some benefit again, Abuja live all sort of life in Abuja, mind you They are not the social media type that is why many people don't know. |

Dshocker: Another scheme to embezzle money, since it will be used to settle or compensate indigenes.
I can beat my chest to say that N400B will be embezzled, because the EFCC and ICPC cannot have evidence on how the money was shared.
By the way, where will the federal government get sure an amount from? Don't be so sure sir, there was a time when the indigens in my area got like 5 million each. No indigens in Nigeria enjoy land right like Abuja indigens, many are millionaires just because of this compensation, many people on nairaland are not really close to the gbagyis so you don't know what happens. I repeat only in my area there are millionaires that did basically nothing other than waiting for this kind of fund, but the thing is they don't show off the cash but we know. Many people talk about Abuja if only you know what the indigens do in Abuja |

Angelfrost: Over 80 percent of Nigerian citizens can't afford private care... Infact, many of them can't even afford government hospitals as it stands.
Privatizing the entire health sector is simply removing basic healthcare from the reach of most citizens of the nation... The mortality rate will be historic.
Corruption has brought your nation to this point. Targeting the masses for hardship to pay for the sins of political leaders will be the last straw that will send this nation into Anarchy.
At this point, hard decisions must be made by elected leaders... They must shelve all current and future plans to steal and loot. All expenses must be strictly for the elevation of the masses.
Corruption has to be tackled and cuffed in every sector... The nation must start exporting and producing for itself. Money must be saved and put into good use for the masses...!
Anything short of this, then Nnamdi Kanu's prophecy about the massive break up of this nation will be inevitable. Senior man🙌 |

Abuja isn't as enlightened as we think, Lagos, Ph and Kano is better off These people just stay in the estate, I have experienced one of the worst forms of tribalism in Abuja alongside the igbos the indigenous gbagyis generally don't respect other people. |
Politics › Re: Obi: Failure To Electronically Transmit Results Nullifies Presidential Election by littleguy444: 9:41pm On Jul 22, 2023 |
SmartPolician: Oga, this is FALSE.
People who live in Abuja are enlightened. It's not like Ogun where Tinubu will come and scream Yoruba Lokan.
Also, FCT has more security than anywhere in Nigeria, meaning that thugs won't be allowed to run away with ballot boxes like it played out in many places around Lagos. In fact, in my polling unit, the bale asked people to stop voting and fight broke out. That was how guber election ended - fight, disarray, violence and bloodshed.
Besides, election observers always throng Abuja, meaning that elections in Abuja will always remain peaceful, fair and credible because for obvious reasons, the Nigerian government will do anything to look good in the eyes of foreigners.
So, you are totally wrong. What can only work in Abuja is engaging enlightened minds and getting them to vote for your party, not violence. What a nice write up, however don't forget Abuja also has many ghetto areas and I lived at this places more than a decade so I know what goes on there, infact this election many some areas in gwagwalada the polling units were disrupted by the action of thugs so Abuja is not all you paint it to be. To cut the story shut, Abuja is not a traditional political stronghold (at least at the grassroot level ) of most political party, however if this rule is allowed to stand it many political parties will try to establish a political stronghold in Abuja and this will create a sort of power tussle that might disrupt the peace and serenity the capital have always enjoyed. Believe me sir, if Crisis should erupt as a result of this it will be worse than Lagos I have seen crisis at Abuja and I know how worse it can be, just a small crisis last year not many of us can sleep comfortably in our home, school children are being slaughtered but you won't see all these in the news cause what happens in the ghetto stays in ghetto. |

I challenge JAMB to take her to court...and watch how they will pay through their nose for failing to accept that it was a system error Must everything be about tribal sentiments, the reason why people are bashing her is because she has no single proof against jamb, millions of Nigerians wrote jamb this year and their result was gotten through sms but only hers is coming with a format of result jamb stopped two years ago, we are students sir and we know how all these things are being done, kindly please check the result she was holding and her sms you will clearly see it is being forged. The tribal jab she has been receiving is due to the fact her picture has been used by people to throw tribal jab and demonstrate the superior intelligence of her tribe and now those people are retaliating but reasonable donot have to join the bigot.. Nobody is above mistake and I can also be in the same shoes as her and I know how shameful it can be, the major problems are the adults who know nothing about jamb processes and are accusing them with all sort of names and actions because of sentiments. |

Unless Innoson decides to press charges, I don't think any one has locus to pursue her -including JAMB. She didn't use it to apply to any university, run for office or access a job. Unless she hacked JAMB servers, JAMB and their decision to go loudly public and issue sanctions is overkill. Mere lying about your JAMB score to someone in non-official situations maybe immoral but it is not a crime. Jamb said the same thing that it doesn't concern them. But this young girl accused jamb of tampering with her result when she knew it wasn't so, and many people are siding with her without knowing the story, definitely it is a must for jamb to respond as she really crossed her boundary |

To me her dad knows the truth concerning the result.
So she want to tell us that she did not ask her friends about their own results and non of them show her how the format of their results is, because she is the only one with that type of format. And when all her mate were sending code to get their results on phone she did not do it.. Or when all her friends printed their own results with their pictures on it she did not do it. But only has the old format of result slip and she did not ask question she did got her result through sms jamb contacted her network provider to get history of her messages and behold it was found, jamb might still be hiding many things about her from the public but she's done enough already she should apologize |

What did she do to make her go to jail? She printed her result and what she saw was what she printed? So you think a lawyer, doesn’t know the implications of the letter he wrote? Why will JAMB employ DSS over a common result on an underage? Why can’t JAMB first take out her script and show everybody the marking script? Or remark it manually? Why will a whole JAMB ran by adults and grandpas drag a little girl over common result? What is wrong with Nigerians, why are most of them backward thinkers? She is not a little girl. Jamb result this year is from text message and the original with picture then how did she get the one that she is parading ask ?anyone who wrote jamb this year how they got their result. She is collecting 3 millionaire on behalf of a fake result in jamb name and they should keep quiet besides it was the commissioner in her state that called jamb to confirm about the score. |

udeh3: JAMB fuckup big time in this case... Where's the investigation results or paper? Was the ministry of education carried along? Where's the DSS report or is it only JAMB that should be part of the investigation? External bodies should be made to investigate this case. JAMB can't investigate a case they have interest
This case is under intense investigation and before you knew it, JAMB have slammed the girl ban. I still don't get it. The girl in question have refused to accept she dotted the result. That is her stand... When investigation is over, you address this case systematically and not media and public shaming cos she's a child who has lot to offer. Her image whether you like it or not is already affected
If JAMB did her duty well, this shouldn't even make headline in the first instance. If she's guilty beyond reasonable doubt, the necessary line of action should be carried out and the ministry of education should supervise it and not JAMB. JAMB is to make her recommendation to the ministry of education. Why the haste? Most People are just taking out their anger against jamb and it's understandable given how frustrated this country is. If not you won't be asking this questions. |

Danisaint112: Keyamo was just bought over by money. The man Tinubu or BAT or whatever he calls himself just bought his way to power.
If there is any serious lesson I learnt from this election it is; "Power is indeed greater than money (he who has power can subdue that with money), but when you make excess money, you can buy power and even buy those that have the right to subdue power."
This is not the kind of personality I envisaged for a president.
I supported Peter Obi but I made up my mind that if the election is free and fair just like prof Mahmood Yakubu has promised us then I will accept whatever result being declared.
But as you all may have it. We saw the worst election in the history of Nigeria. The only people supporting the duggie of a candidate are criminals, people that have criminal intention, or simply tribal bigots who have sold their conscience for pennies. Money or not tinubu is powerful, atiku is ready to pay any amount to get there even before tinubu contested but buhari was way more powerful than him and so is tinubu. Regarding the election, the north is still not convinced about Peter obi and if he had picked a strong politician from the north it might have favor him. The north and south south gave tinubu this presidency and there was no obi could have won the north. |

Politics › Re: Why Presidency Should Go To The Southeast – Wole Soyinka by littleguy444: 4:29am On May 24, 2023 |
MetaPhysical: My dear brother. I respect Prof but not that dearly to submit Yoruba under an Ibo rulership. Any Ibo that wants to become president must first enter into a sealed agreement that he will not be conferred with the title commander in chief. This means his security chiefs are appointed for him, and they will not report directly to him. Also, Senate President and House Speaker positions, SE will be excluded from eligibility.
What Prof is saying is we have been unfair to Ibo. Quite contrary.
Look on the landscape for a minute, and it is easy to see Yorubaland is very vulnerable.
Two and half years ago, 2020, in the election leading to Akeredolu's second term in Ondo. Adeyinka Grandson made a taped recording and asked if Ondo people were not appalled that their first lady was an Ibo. He inferred that it is an abnormality, and such will never be allowed in Iboland. So the options in Ondo would be to abandon Akeredolu for Eyitayo Jegede, the PDP candidate. It was realized Jegede's wife is also from Cross River, or Akwa Ibom. This is Ondo, not Lagos o.
Go to Oyo, same story. Their past governor Ajimobi was married to indigenized Lebanese. He was succeeded by Seyi Makinde, whose wife is from Rivers.
Presently in Osun, there are two first ladies, Titilola Adeleke, and Ngozi Adeleke. Ile-Ife, the sacred Yoruba city is in Osun State. The governor gives Ooni staff of office. If Ngozi calls a meeting to address wives of Obas in Osun, the wife of Ooni must attend and address Ngozi with protocol. This is not Lagos o, na Osun.
So, is it any wonder that another Ibo woman, Ify came very close to becoming a first lady in Lagos?
If that had happened - Osun first lady -Ibo Oyo first lady - Ijaw/Okrika Ondo first lady - Ibo Lagos first lady - Ibo Ogun first lady - Yoruba Ekiti first lady - Yoruba
But because CGV did not succeed in Lagos, the true picture is below.
Osun first lady -Ibo Oyo first lady - Ijaw/Okrika Ondo first lady - Ibo Lagos first lady - Ibo Yoruba Ogun first lady - Yoruba Ekiti first lady - Yoruba
In SE, how many Yoruba first ladies are there? In SS, how many Yoruba first ladies are there?
But professor say we need to be fair to SE.
Ok, let's show how SE has been fair to others. First lady of Ondo, Betty Akeredolu wanted to run for Senate, so she went home to Imo. Her people rejected her, told her she is married to Yoruba, and to go represent Yoruba people.
Professor Soyinka is on the border of becoming a nuisance on Yoruba issues.
When someone like Betty Akeredolu cannot run for election in her native home because of marriage to Yoruba, how about her children, would they ever be eligible to contest election in SE, or would full blooded Yoruba have to step aside so half-breeds can rule over us?
What is future of Yoruba women in Yorubaland, dont they deserve to wear the crown of first lady, why are we displacing them with our votes? We fail to reflect because our ethos have been exploited by leaders like Soyinka, Obasanjo, Adebanjo...each of them with in-laws in Iboland. It is in their interest that their half-breed grandchildren become somebody in future and make name. The way to assure that is beg full blood Yoruba to yield to Ibo.
Let CGV serve as lessons learnt. Let also the crowning of foreigners as first ladies in Yorubaland serve as eye opener.
Yoruba women Lokan!
Spread this message. You are too tribalistic Sir, I would still go for sanwo olu over grv normally but you saying that voting a governor based on the tribe of his wife and not on competency and patriotism is very bad, do you mean that you prefer people to suffer under bad governance as far as their wife is not a foreigner you are okay with it. the whole of Southwest is not as developed as it should be and you are thinking like this it is the wish of those people to marry ladies from different places, what distanced me from grv is some of his speech which did not aligned with a true compatriot and I doubt his competence also other than that he is home and dry. please change this your thinking it is too extreme by the way why are you trying to make sure only a Yoruba man is in control of Southwest and don't tell me it is because other regions wouldn't agree what if that is what is impeding development in Nigeria does that mean that Southwest should follow suit on that path of destruction. And lastly for all the yorubas remember that true is determined based on what you achieved according to their resources and not according to the growth of other states. |

Sermwell: I hate you all with your tribalistic mindset irrespective of where you come from! But an average Yoruba person cannot different Igbos from other tribes. Whoever is not Yoruba is Igbo as far as they are concerned! I was called 'omo Igbo' several times in Lagos even though I'm from Edo State. Calling somebody omo Igbo in Yoruba is nothing infact I was called a mallam by most of my mother's friend because I resemble an hausa man and they also call some Yoruba omo Igbo because they are fair and built just like igbos and if a person is too fair they will call him oyinbo some igbos and hausas do call me omo Yoruba all these are just nicknames. it is quite unfortunate what happened during the election period. Even Nigerians in general refer to most people from the north as either hausa or fulani even though they might be neither. |
