Bolushalom: Thanks for your contribution. This is btw Law and Communications and media studies. I really dnt mind any of the courses. I want to be a Lawyer but I really find Nigerian Law boring, the whole process, the court system, and I dnt look forward to court visits, I didnt find what I expected when I applied and it killed my enthusiaasm. As for communication and Media studies, I really dnt mind.

adeaugustus: Forgive me, but what you wrote up there is a piece of trash! The "workaholic" students in my class are not in anyway near first class! What you need to obtain first class is as follows:
1. Natural talent: If you're not brilliant, forget it!!! No matter how hard you try 2:1 is your highest.
2. Religion: Believe it or not, God have his own part to play.
3. Plan and Dream: I can't tell you how many times I calculate and predicts my CPGA when school is in session, it serves as a pointer to how important a course is.
4. Forget Learning: This is Nigeria, and the lecturer don't give a crap about you understanding the course or not. He wants to read the exact duplicate of his note in your answer booklet. So if you can't cram, you're on your own.
5. Mingle with the right people: Believe it on not, every lecturer has his/her own favourite student, every now and then, there is always AOC(area of concentration).

Skillbobralph: I am personally forwarding a letter to the Fed Govt and ASUU becos we the students will soon go on strike for the delay. Until our demand are met, we won't attend classes. The demands listed are

1. As a final year student I was suppose to graduate this September but for the delay of ASUU things went opposite. I am charging them for damages.

2. I programmed my house rent expiring date in school to fall in September so that once I graduate I park my load. But for the delay, my house rent has expired on the 14th of Sept. So they better add 90k to the money they want to collect from Fed Govt or they pay from the money they are expecting from Fed Govt.

3. My Project labouratory work has been tempered with thereby spending additional money to correct it. If not for the strike I would have completed it without delay.

For this, I am holding ASUU and Fed Govt ransom for these extra expenses they caused us.

Davo93: See my guy, nobody is argueing with you whether OAU is placed number one or not Do you even know the criteria for the ranking you are talking about? More importantly, is it what we are taught by the so called highly 'learned' lecturers that makes our output the best we have in Nigeria or the MUCH extra job we do on our own?? Let me tell you here, i know the secret of OAU high ranking but i can't be disclosing that here. Have you even asked yourself before why the like of Auchi Polytechnic is ranked ahead a nice school like FUTA? Is Auchi Poly really better than FUTA? Obviously NO! There is an untold secret behind it.

Fellow GREATEST Ife student, we don't need to start washing our dirty linen in public. All of us are in OAU and we know whats up, except we keep deceiving ourselves.

bharyur2103: Truth be told,no nigerian university currently deserves a spot on the list.Most nigerian universities are below par in terms of the criterias used to choose these universities.All the same,I rep OAU and there is no public institution I would rather attend in the country.The environment is probably the safest to learn,the infrastructures are to say the least better than those of most public institutions in the country and the level of intellectual hardwork required to succeed is arguably the highest you will see on any campus in the country.Housing facilities of UI are better and UNILORIN's academic calendar is faster but mind u,UI and OAU,I think,have the same no of hostels yet OAU admits twice as much no of undergraduates every session.
