If you haven't read Walter Rodney's classic, "How Europe Underdeveloped Africa" then you are on a very long thing. You are missing. Read and let your eyes be opened. When you do you will stop feeling inferior to other races (something which often times we subconsciously display by mimicking aspects of their cultures to the detriment of ours).

I felt a Kindred Spirit towards you on discovery that you have read that book too. Andre Gunder Frank's - The Development of Underdevelopment is also instructive here.

1. If you study law abroad, forget working in Nigeria. Its just like learning how to fish and you get employed at ,Microsoft. Nna, your skills are almost non Transferrable because their Statutes and Legislations are essentially different from ours.

If if you study law in South-West and Want to practice in South-South, lots of Laws will be different.
Thats why u attend 2Yrs. law school if you study abroad.

1.1: Most of what the op said applies in other countries. In other places, a youngie who is just called to bar is no match for a seasoned lawyer. Just like the time you go to barb your hair and they bring one small boy to do it, u dey agree?

2. Quote me on this. IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE. GOOGLE IT. Student loan go kill you almost $400,000 for everything in USA and England (which other place u wan go before, Belarus?)

3. Lawyers crawling everywhere. EVERYWhere! Law hasn't bottom to saturation in Nigeria. Its just like being an engineer in Nigeria. Engineers are everywhere.

4. Smart lawyers can survive here better than Abroad. Cus lots of their lawyers are smart. Here, lawyers can graduate with a Pass! Na him wan handle your case?

5. Going to Law School there is just like there is just like Medical School Here. Demonically stressfulllll.

An old teacher of mine told me a story that stuck with me the rest
of my life:

A pottery teacher split her class into two halves.
To the first half she said, "You will spend the semester studying
pottery, planning, designing, and creating your perfect pot. At
the end of the semester, there will be a competition to see who's
pot is the best".

To the other half she said, "You will spend your semester
making lots of pots. Your grade will be based on the number of
completed pots you finish. At the end of the semester, you'll
also have the opportunity to enter your best pot into a
competition."

The first half of the class threw themselves into their research,
planning, and design. Then they set about creating their one,
perfect pot for the competition.

The second half of the class immediately grabbed fistfulls of
clay and started churning out pots. They made big ones, small
ones, simple ones, and intricate ones. Their muscles ached for
weeks as they gained the strength needed to throw so many
pots.

At the end of class, both halves were invited to enter their most
perfect pot into the competition. Once the votes were counted,
all of the best pots came from the students that were tasked
with quantity. The practice they gained made them
significantly better potters than the planners on a quest for a
single, perfect pot.

In life, the best way to learn a skill, is to make a lot of pots.

make i hear word abeg, minimum wage in this country is 18k which equals 216k per annum, anybody earning 3million plus per annum with good planning can buy a ride and build a house within 5yrs,
and some of those lecturers make extra income from teaching in private universities and schools

True Talk. Pls those money they make from hand-outs, text books e.t.c. In my school back then, In 300level, all students were doing EPS and it was mandated we pay 3k. Now 3k multiplied by over 2000 students, I paid!


Being a lecturer is the best definition of "Job Opportunity". so many avenues to make Bank!!!
