Nigerian Singer, Tekno has been flown out of the country to America for an urgent treatment of acid reflux -- a chronic disease that occurs when stomach acid or bile flows into the food pipe and irritates the lining.

He made this known via his instagram page today and apologised to his fans and promoters for all inconveniences, adding that all refunds will be made.

He wrote; "I know i have disappointed a whole lot of promoters and my amazing fans worldwide! I've been sick for over a month from acid reflux and it has worsened. I want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; all the show refunds and any other lost. Am not taking any bookings right now as I'm off to America for proper treatment God's grace I'll get better in no time And be back on stage! if you could share a little prayer for me I would be grateful-Good health to you and yours"

A man has narrated how his car was recently turned into a mobile boutique, within 15 minutes, at Ladipo market in Lagos where he drove it to for repairs.

According to him "So I went to ladipo spare parts market the other day to fix a car. I packed outside the market. Walked into the market and returned in less than 15mins to see this. My car has been turned into a mobile shoe boutique. I walked up to them and told them to pack their stuff. One looked at me and said "na u get motor? U wan commot? " I politely answered "yes". The whistle blowing policy of the Federal Government is paying off positively as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today stormed a residential building in the 7th Floor of a four - bedroom apartment at Osborne Towers located at 16, Osborne road Ikoyi, Lagos, where a humongous find of foreign currencies and Naira notes to the tune of $43.4m, £27,800 and N23.2m was uncovered.

The operation followed a whistle blower's confidential alert received by the Commission's Lagos office this morning regarding some noticed suspicious movement of bags in and out of a particular apartment in the building. According to the source, the movers of the bags, make believe that they bring in bags of clothes.

Another source who is conversant with the apartment of interest indicated that some woman usually appeared on different occassion with Ghana Must Go bags. " She comes looking haggard, with dirty clothes but her skin didn't quite match her outward appearance, perhaps a disguise", the source said.

On getting to the building, operatives met the entrance door locked. Inquiries from the guards at the gate explained that nobody resides in the apartment, but some persons come in and out once in a while. In compliance with the magisterial order contained in the warrant, the EFCC used minimum force to gain entrance into the apartment.

Monies were found in two of the four bedroom apartment. Further probe of the wardrobe by operatives in one of the rooms, was found to be warehousing three fire proof cabinents disguisedly hidden behind wooden panels of the wardrobe. Upon assessing the content of the cabinets, neatly arranged US Dollars, Pound Sterling and some Naira notes in sealed wrappers.

Preliminary findings indicate that the funds are suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activity.
The facility is said to be owned by Osborne Towers Resident Association.
Investigations are ongoing.

Relying on another whistle blower's tip -off, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission recovered yet the sum of N250,558,670 (Two Hundred and Fifty Million, Five Hundred and Fifty Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and seventy Naira) only, which is the parallel market naira value of the money recovered from a Bureau de Change operator in Balogun Market, Lagos today, April 10, 2017.

The recovery followed information that about N250 million cash was being moved somewhere in the market for conversion into foreign currency.

Operatives responded timely to the scene, met the money in the BDC office, but a large chunk of it had been converted into Euro and Pounds sterling.

The BDC operators found in possession of the monies claimed they were acting on behalf of their boss who sent the money to them from one of the Northern states in Nigeria.

The converted monies were €547,730 and £21,090 as well as N5,648,500 which was to be converted, but for the coming of EFCC operatives.
Two persons were apprehended, and they are helping the commission in its investigation.

Five suspected oil thieves are currently undergoing investigation at the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for dealing in petroleum products suspected to be Automated Gas Oil (AGO).

The suspects, Jeffery Adaboke, Ayebaene Kalango, Prince Legbosi, Tega Adade, Ifeanyi Silvanus were arrested by officers of NNS PATHFINDER Naval Base Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 1st of April, 2017 around Isaka axis onboad Tug Boat PK111 and a metal barge laden with products suspected to be AGO.

The suspects were handed over to the Commission for further investigation by E. R. Ekuma, Commander, Nigeria Navy.
An Operative of the Commission, Gidado Musa, who represented the zonal Head EFCC South/South, received the suspects, Tug boat and the metal barge on behalf of the Commission.

The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.

In furtherance of the current Administration's drive to sustain and build on the successes so far recorded in tackling corruption, improving security and re-revamping the economy, President Muhammadu Buhari, will Wednesday, April 5, 2017, formally launch the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) 2017-2020.

The ceremony will take place in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, at 11 am, according to his special adviser, Femi Adesina.

The Medium-Term ERGP, which had earlier been approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), has amongst its broad strategic objectives, restoring sustainable, accelerated inclusive growth and development; investing in the people; and building a globally competitive economy

A facebook user, Adebola Akitoye has shed more light on the controversies surrounding Senator Dino Melaye's certificate.

Adebola, who claims to have served with the senator in Kaduna- shared a copy of his NYSC discharge certificate and a booklet showing the names of the corpers that served during the 1999/2000 set, which includes Senator Dino Melaye's name as "Melaye Daniel".

He wrote; "Just stumbled on my documents this morning, and have this to share about Senator Dino maleye, we actually served together in Kaduna camp for 1999/ 2000 1st tier set, and passed out July 8 2001"
