Fielding questions from Journalist, Jonah admitted to carrying out surveillance on the Kidnapped victim and lending N40, 000 to one Sebastian who he claimed contacted him on the job. Jonah said he got involved in the kidnapping because he was at home during the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) industrial strike action and wanted to make some money before returning to school. He said they did not receive any ransom money because some parents were arrested which facilitated the release of the kidnap victim. Meanwhile, the DSS also paraded 10 people over allegation of kidnapping, car snatching and armed robbery around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Oga said, 29 year old Oyemire Asagba, also known as Paul/Sky is the gang leader, along with; Sunday Otse Attah 30 years, Zacheus Salami 30 years, Victor Kingsley Bassey 32 years, Sani Mohammed 32 years, Sani Mohamed 23 years, Aragba Itopa Ademo 33 years, Ojo Idris Gambo 22 years. Oga said the suspects also robbed the family of other personal effects, adding that the girls were released on the 17th June 2014, after nine days in captivity. She said all ten Kidnappers were arrested by the Service along Kaduna Road in Tafa(LGA) of Niger State, Masaka in Karu LGA of Nassarawa State, Itakpe by-pass in Okene LGA in Kogi State and Jos North LGA, Plateau State. Some were also picked up in Mpape and Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Fielding questions from journalist, the gang leader Asagba (Paul) admitted to kidnapping the girls and collecting N10 million before releasing the victims. He also confessed that the gang obtained five AK 47 guns from one Sani in Kaduna who gave them the weapons in exchange for 10 snatched cars. Also responding the questions, the guard of the house where the girls were kidnapped also confessed to conniving to kidnap the girls and giving his cohorts access to the House to carry out the kidnapping. He also confessed telling one of the suspects that his employer, the father of the two kidnapped girls keeps money at home. sources: http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/28887-dss-parades-kidnappers-of-president-jonathan-s-uncle http://www.punchng.com/news/dss-parades-suspected-kidnappers-of-jonathans-uncle-others/
