Xisnin:

In Nigeria, I am actually expected to be the king in the marriage, to be served as I like.
I don't know the box you are scared of, can you explain?

No, it doesn't and you don't know it.
If I refuse to give police bribe at the checkpoint, they will see me as disrepectful but I know better.
To some people, leaving them alone is respect while others expect you to acknowledge them.

There is no role for wife/gf outside of what they are prepared to give.

That is why marriage is voluntary. You can walk away and find a better slave anytime you want.

Check back all my posts, you will see that I never mentioned chores which seems to trigger many people
because I consider it a non-issue.
My point is that nobody should be forced to do what they don't want. Washing and cooking is not slavery,
being forced to do them is slavery.

Oh, another one.
You assumed I am a woman because I think this particular husband is wrong.
FYI, there are men out there who don't need slaves as wives.
If you find a woman who willingly do whatever you want, good for you and I have no problem
with that.
My issue is that you cannot force your will on a free person like you and then term call it disrespect when they
refuse.

I worked with an NGO involved with domestic affairs. The most common complaint from shocked husbands
usually goes like this. "How can I ask my wife to do X and Y and she dares refuse, isn't it my right to
tell her what to do"

We try to tell them that such behavior is normal when dealing with a fully grown human, not a kid, not a slave. Some later understand some don't.

That last paragraph was an eye opener. 'How dare she refuse' yet we are in 2019. So this same man will tell his wife to steal and she must because he said so.

And if she does not do certain things she is not respecting him.

It is only an extremely petty, small minded, low self-esteemed man that will have issues with being called by his name. It's no big deal especially if the couple were friends before marriage. You African men have nothing going on upstairs except how to dominate a woman and how she should massage your silly egos. Your foreign counterparts are busy making ground-breaking inventions and research, you're busy looking for who to serve you food and call you sir. Don't you people irritate yourselves sometimes?

You have scattered the table @dominique

Lol. They have names like baale, oko, olowoori. Modern wives call their husbands by nicknames or add daddy to the kid's name when calling him. However, the whole thing is wearing off. Culture is subject to change without notice
.

Thank you, it's an eye opener

In Yoruba culture, you can't even call ur husband's siblings by name. You have to add a prefix. So calling your husband by name among yorubas is a no no. Though I guess the whole thing is wearing off steadily sha.

But imagine you call each other name all the time courting, then marry and what? Uncle Peter?

Are u married? Wat did u call ur husband? Let say his name is peter den u call him peter right even infront of his frds? Not inside huz u and him alone ? Even at dat? And u have kids? Who wil learn from u nd start calling dia father by his name cos u dos dat.. Why wil a woman cal her husband by his name even when the man is not happy about? it and has warn her? D man in question has never called the wife by her name is dis not lack of respect let call a spade a spade..

My husband's name will be the same he was born with. So what are women meant to call their husband's? Children know to call their parents mama, papa. I just don't understand why you can't call the man who sleeps with you his name?

How do you qualify quality sex? Is it by the tone of moaning or the speed or energy asserted by the the guy.

Good question

Lucky him

Many years back while i was still in Uber business...

I returned a lady's N7 million back and she asked me inside for "coffee" out of appreciation.

I felt i had hit jackpot after smoking the honeypot without a silencer on my bazooka.

I pumped with ALL my strength, not even one drop landed outside.

Someone with 7 million in her purse will have 70 in the bank, right?

9 months after i got a package from her... not the FedEx/ DHL type

Turns out she was just a salesgirl and didn't own a dime

That's how i got my 3rd babymama undecided

The End

Culled from "The Memoirs of The Faceless Man" cool

Their opinion, the book was far from boring to me. I also wonder how you intend to turn Jide's character around in the sequel, absolutely nothing endearing about him that you would want an happy ending for. I maintain there's nothing wrong with Doris' character, neither is the plot flawed. Though, I must say there was a part of the story that threw me off balance. The part where Doris had a flashback about her Grandma. I got a bit confused as I did not realize that present melded into the past and I had to scroll back several pages to read again before I could understand that particular scene. Other than that, I had issue with the story.

The review may be discourag but that doesn't mean you should pull the curtain on the story entirely. Post it here or on your blog to get diverse opinions.

I read a book on okadabooks by Unen Ameji a while back and part of the plot was a gay man who proposed to a woman to pose as his wife as a form of cover up. I read a similar plot by TM David West, both were well received and are on okadabooks.

The Auction will come with a disclaimer o. Some people may find some of the scenes extremely disturbing. I don't think there is anything like R25 though, a disclaimer should do. Can't wait to see what becomes of Linda.

I have started on an outline for the next book in The Lekki Club series, one of the characters in the book.

@dominique will keep you updated.

Yes the Auction, I was discussing that with a beta reader last week. i.e. tone it down or publish the reality. (As the contents are all things currently happening in Africa)

I have started creating the marketing content for it to post on Instagram, I pray for the courage smiley

Don't know how it would be received or if Okadabooks will carry it. I think they find The Lekki Club a bit explicit lol.

I am trying to tidy up The Auction and put that there. But i don't know if they will say over 25 not 18.

The ending for The Auction is done.
