A Kenyan student in the United States is the subject of discussion after her relationship with her American boyfriend became a trending topic over their age-gap.

Speaking to Mail Online, Rehab Kimani, 21, said she met Joe Singiser, 54, through work at a nursing home in New Jersey.

A student and home health aide, Rehab said that her friends got disgusted by her choice of boyfriend. They even stopped her from talking about her man whenever she was around them

“I thought he was very attractive and immediately wanted him,” she revealed. “I really liked his big muscles and that everyone at work was afraid of him.”

Rehab also reveals that despite being very comfortable on their first date, it was hard for her to deal with the way her family reacted as they did not take it positively.

“I just see him as my boyfriend and my best friend. If anything, the difference is that I take this relationship as more serious than previous ones. It took everyone a long time, but they are finally understanding of us being together.” She said.

Mr Singiser is a father of four and Rehab’s supervisor at work. He says he was ‘startled’ when he got interested in his younger employee but opted to press on with the relationship because he knew it was true love.

He says he noticed her beautiful smile from the across the room and would find excuses to come out of his office just to see her.

Rehab says that she no longer sees the age difference. However, they do draw looks from strangers on the streets.

“We get looks while in public all the time,” she said. “Someone even came up to me once and said I should be ashamed of myself because I just want his money. I did get sensitive, but I just walked away.”

The couple, who have been together for a year now, lives together and are planning on starting a family together have started discussing the possibility of marriage and having children.

I don't know about others but the start up for the top 5 as at 2018 ranges from #50-100.Experience staff ranges from 100 - 250k. Mgt staff ranges from 250k to 1m. I have done my research, go and do yours.

You argue without your fact, AB startup for the field officers was 80k net few yrs back. All microfinance are not on same level, sit down and do your research what the top 5 Microfinance in Lagos pay their staff e. g AB, Adossar, Letshego etc. There are over a 1000 microfinance in Nigeria, they all are not on same category.

A friend is currently on 250k in Lagos. But I think it depends on the status of the Microfinance, they are not all on the same level. Some in senior mgt earn up-to 700k to 1m per month.

Almost 8 years ago, three (3) very close communities – with the combined land mass that is not up to that of Surulere – were promised 3 flyovers each.

Typically, residents of these communities received the promise with joy and great expectations.

These communities, Alagbole-Akute-Ijoko area of Ogun state, are at the Lagos-Ogun state border – and just a few minutes away from Ojodu-Berger in Lagos state.

A great number of residents of these areas work in Lagos state, although their taxes are remitted to the Ogun state government.

The 3 flyovers being constructed are located at Alagbole-Odo-Yakoyo, Akute-Ijoko and Sango-Ijoko-Abiodun-Ojodu.

The 3 flyovers are part of a 32km road construction project, that also includes the construction of 5 bridges.

The project commenced sometime in 2012 and was expected to be delivered under 30 months. Sadly, the delivery date has been surpassed by a few years shy of a decade.

Indeed, the project timeline suffered several setbacks. At different times, construction activities at these sites have suffered different states of abandonment.

All these have contributed to the enormous inconveniences and hardship suffered by residents of Lambe, Akute, Ajuwon, Ijoko, etc. Motorists also have had to put up with the most horrific road conditions at these locations.

The on and off construction activities on the some of these bridges have also cost the lives of many residents.

Indeed, the residents of these locations understand that to make omelette one must break eggs. However, preparing the omelette at these flyovers is taking far longer and more agonizing experiences than the residents bargained for.

Thankfully, in recent days, construction activities at the Alagbole-Odo-Yakoyo flyover has picked up an impressive pace. The Sango-Ijoko flyover construction work has also resumed, although at an unimpressive pace.

Sadly, the Akute-Ijoko flyover is currently suffering total abandonment.

Hopefully, before the 2019 general elections, at least one of the 3 flyovers is expected to be completed. The politicians would need it for bragging rights.
