We wish to thank God for a successful wedding.
We are very grateful to Seun for creating a forum like this, our story is really interesting, we met on Nairaland courtesy of a thread created by siamia meant for 30 and above sometime last 2 years, engineereed by toks2008, Queencalipso and others. My wife wasn't up to 30 but stubbornly sneaked into the thread, that's how destiny works, I liked her quotes and immediately asked for her Facebook name, added her and we continued there and on several other apps. Internet love! Lol

Did you hear that- that we keep His commandments? Again, these two definitions are overarching.

So you see, love is also keeping of the LAW!

But looking at the Sabbath law for instance, we see that the Sabbath is a SIGN between God and His people FOREVER (See Exodus 31:17). What! Did God forgot that He will do away with this law? And the Part which was fulfilled has to do with the sacrificial laws, which concerns atonement for sins by shedding the blood of an animal in the place of Man's sins.

Jesus became that lamb. But what about the moral laws, do they also needs be fulfilled?

I strongly believe that Jesus did not come to fulfil a part of the Law but the WHOLE of it. That is why He said IT IS FINISHED not abolished. The Laws(including moral laws) were no longer valid in the tablets of stones but in our hearts as the Holy Spirit guides us to fulfil the Law of Christ of which the foundation was laid by the Laws of Moses to guide as a schoolmaster before its fulfilment by Christ.

THE REASON WHY CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION.

A lot of people say that Christianity is just a religion which is false, Christianity when founded by Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour was not founded to be a religion.
Before I continue with what I have to say, let go back to the creation story ( the beginning of time itself ).
Genesis chapter 1 gives an account of how the earth was created I.e the sun, moon, filament, land, sea, animals, plants, mountains, hills, stars etc.
After all the creation, something was missing, God wanted his image and likeness to be part of his creation, that was why HE said "let us make man in our own image and after our likeness" which led to the creation of man.
The Genesis account also showed us that God established a close relationship with man giving him the task of dominating, replenishing and taking care of the earth. HE created man to live a life of peace, joy, holiness, righteousness, absence of lack and most importantly a close relationship with HIM, Jehovah.
Ironically, the table was turned around when man fell into sin at the garden of Eden ( of course we allow know the story ).
This incident made man lose everything God gave to him, his dominion, joy, peace and most importantly his relationship with his creator.
For years man has been living in sin, shame, darkness. He lost all contact with his creator, man have been under the authority of the devil himself. This was the exact opposite of God's intentions when he created man.
In order to restore man back to himself, God sent HIS only begotten son, Jesus, to die for the sins of the whole world thus redeeming man from destruction.
Jesus came to save and redeem man from the very jaws and pangs of sin and death which has gripped man right from the garden of Eden.
He came to restore man to the life of joy, peace, holiness, righteousness, dominion and most importantly, man's relationship with his creator, Jehovah Himself, which was the original life God wanted man to live.
Jesus came to show man the way to the Father by dying on the cross of calvary for man's sake. He came to restore man back to his former glory in which God created him to live. He didn't come to establish a religion. That's what Christianity is all about.
Christianity is the life that God originally planned for us to live when HE created the man.
Christianity is a lifestyle, a way of life, how we ought to live, God's ordained life and not a religion, philosophy, fact or myth.

The simple answer to the OP is YES! The new covenant abolished 10 commandments.

Kindly understand that there is a huge difference between to abolish and to fulfil. No Commandment was abolished, they were only fulfilled. The fulfilment of the Commandment was to make entrance the dominance of the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus

The Internet is a place where people can claim to be anything. Is that the kind of place to get REAL love?

You cant get love via the internet. What it does is to connect you to the person who may end up being the love you desire. There are actions after the connection. You have to meet the person in person and start from there......

You can find love anywhere depends on what you are looking for. I have hundreds of folks that have found love online and are happily married. My advise is that keep an open mind, dont rush or be emotionally attached as LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. Above all, you need God!

You can be baptised in the Holy Spirit through impartation or prayer inviting the Holy Spirit. But first, are you really sure you are born again and if yes, how do you know. This is the basis before Baptism.

The problem with us is that we limit God with our doctrines and denomination. In heaven, there is no Deeper Life, Winner, Assemblies of God, Church denominations etc. What we have in Heaven are Raptured Saints. Denominations could be limitations that is why you need to know God for yourself to be strong and do exploit.

You need the Holy Spirit. Nothing matters on Earth until you are connected to the Holy Spirit.

I have done and still doing research on your assertion but tis unfortunate that the minds of people are already made up with customs/traditions which Jesus came to resist. My only addition is that Jesus is the Tithe and calvary had settled it! Keep doing what you are good at. More Grace.

NOTE: before we even dig deep, let’s look at the popular logic of most tithing preachers: they agree that the tithe commanded in Mal.3:8-10 is under the law hence it’s not for believers today but argue that Abraham tithed before the law was given to Moses. But Abraham also did things like circumcision and sacrificed animals to God long before the law was given. Are we to continue in these things also because they were before the law? SELAH. (read my post: ‘the origin of the law’).

Notice that the first thing Melchizedek did when he saw Abraham was to bless him, Abraham did not offer him anything before he blessed him with the bread and wine (which we can say in typology represent the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ), then Abraham gave him 10% to say thank you for the blessing and as a sjgn of respect for the Kingly priest.It was not the 10% tithe he gave that attracted the blessing, the blessing came forth first before he gave something as thanksgiving. I have seen it done repeatedly in some churches where the pastor calls out for the tithe, then prays specially for only those who gave their tithe leaving those who did not pay their tithes in self condemnation feeling they have missed out of the blessing.THESE PASTORS ARE DOING THE REVERSE OF WHAT THE KINGLY PRIEST MELCHIZEDEK DID HERE.

BUT WHY DID ABRAHAM GIVE THIS KING OF SALEM 10% ?

Abram was not a Christian and did not grow up with a Bible in his hand. We need to know that Abram was under an AMORITE who enforced the Babylonian-Chaldean law on all who lived in his fields. As a child, Abram—who would eventually be called Abraham—lived in Ur, then moved to Haran after some years. It was at Haran that God told him to leave everything and go to a land God would show him (See Gen. 12). He eventually ended up close to Hebron, in the fields of Mamre, an Amorite, south of Salem (Jerusalem). It is very important for us to understand that Abraham was living and following a Babylonian-Chaldean tax system of honoring the greater, called the tithe tax. The king’s tithe was a Babylonian tax system whereby you honored the king and his rule over you. All the subjects of the king had to give ten percent of their income to the king. That is how they showed their respect to the king and submitted to him. Should you not pay it you would be under the curse of the king, seen as his enemy and punished?

OTHER ACCEPTABLE CUSTOMS OF HIS DAYS THAT WE SEE ABRAHAM AND HIS WIFE LIVED BY:
1) Getting married to the slave girl:
Although under Babylonian law monogamy was the rule, in the case of a childless wife, she was permitted to give her husband a maidservant to bear him children, who were then reckoned to be hers. The code did not allow the husband to take a concubine; but if his wife did not bear him a child he could do so. The concubine was a co-wife, though not of the same rank; the first wife had no power over her. Sara was observing this law when she gave Hagar to her husband Abraham for a wife, to bear children to them. Sara was obviously observing the Code of Hammurabi when she gave Hagar to Abraham. Should we also allow this today, since it was before the Ten Commandments? Never! And we don’t tithe just because tithing was practiced back then either.

2) Abram and the Sky God:

18 Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the TEREBINTH TREES OF MAMRE,* which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

The full Hebrew name for the fields of Mamre where Abram lived is Elonei Mamre, which refers to a cultic shrine dedicated to the supreme sky god, “El,” of the Canaanites, whom they referred to as “god.” It was a place where there were trees that the people believed had special powers to help them connect with “god.” Abram decided to build an altar at that place, sacrificing to the god he believed told him to move to another place. Here we see Abraham still mixing his beliefs with the beliefs and practices of that day. Abraham went to the magic trees in hopes that they could help him connect with God.
We need to realize that Abram was not a Christian at all, and he submitted to the heathen laws of those times. He lived by the rules and laws that governed the people of that time, which were what the Israelites later wanted when they asked for a king as the other nations had. These rules and laws applied to slavery and tithing as we can see in the Mesopotamian tithing laws, and in 1 Sam 8:15-17 where they asked for a king.
