@OP, you can be proficient by December as you said but understand programming is such a wide field. There is OS, Batch, Kernel, DB, Enterprise, AI and Many other programming. What you are doing is just mastering a few complementary languages/ stacks to intermediate level. There are beginners, intermediate, expert, and architect level in most IT field including programming.
Thank you for the encouragement. There are no pipe dreams, just difficult ones. And difficulty is not impossibility.

I read it.

U may see this as me trying to troll u Sha.

But just know ur mentality right now is flawed and will only overwhelm u pretty soon.

There's nothing like you'll be proficient in those 4 languages b4 December.

U may not even be proficient in CSS Befoe December... No caps.

To be employable and command good pay, u need to have solid 1-2 years experience in one of those languages.

No interviewer will take u seriously if u tell them u learnt and you're proficient in 3 languages in 3 months.... When u didn't even have prior knowledge.

Even if they employed u by mistake.... They'll eventually sack you... Why because u won't be able to get industrial standard task done.

Unless the company doesn't make any money and just need a quack
Yeah, good one. But I am not really in a rush to get a job with what I am doing. If it happens good, a big plus. I want to learn cos I have personal projects in mind, I want to build the apps I use, create many new ones.

I would love to be a millionaire in pounds programming, but first I want to enjoy learning, knowing and doing, for myself. Thank you.

Excruciating ko, excruciating ni.

Nobody forced u.... something others sees as fun it reach your turn u start using grammar

Why not quit.... No shame in that....

Field is getting saturated each day... you'll be a Hero if u quit now and let others take ur spot... It's ur type when u get the job now and u get in position to interview someone u send them questions even PHd professors can't solve because u believe coding should be stressful and excruciating.

I understand the angle the op is coming from. It’s not like he is studying those languages to master them and work with them, he may do in the future. But I think he wants to have an overview of the programming world , how those languages differ from each other , there similarities and all. I actually did that. When I started I was wondering why so many languages, is any better than the other. I played with php, python, C, before I settled for Javascript. So I. Think he is on the right track.
Thank you bro! Finally Someone who understands. And learning differ from person to person, by touching all these languages I am coming to understand one even more i.e Python. Now I'm understanding OOP in python even more by going through C++.

When my challenge time expires I know where to head to next. So far, it's a big work but I am loving it.

Oga face one language first. U go punish urself. Don't tackle three at once. U won't see it now, it's in the future that u will know that u learnt nothing. By the time u start laying hands on real life projects, u will believe programming is not a child's play. Face one thing, face one thing, face one thing. Don't what to be jack of all trades and master of none. If u like take am if u no like leave, last last na u go still cry/run for programming. I rest my case. Thanks.
Correct. But you know, na challenge I dey give myself till the end of the year. By then I will see how far I've gone. So far, I am loving it sha.
ProgrammingSome Months Into Programming, My Excruciating Experience. by LocalStandard1(op): 3:14pm On Sep 24, 2022
Some months ago I decided to drop animations and go into programming, a path I've always admired. So far it hasn't been easy, first month was highly depressing, excruciatingly frustrating. I started with the Python language.

Now I have this insatiable hunger and need for more, I wanted to learn more languages even though I am still at my early stage with Python. So i decided to dive into more and now I am learning three more languages after Python, namely, JavaScript, C++, SQL. I plan on being proficient in all these languages by December.

Two biggest experiences I've had are:

1. Programming makes you more intelligent and persistent. You develop that attitude to always want to surmount or crack difficult problems, in real live.

2. Starting with one language makes it more, more easier to grasp the rest, maybe even all the others.

I think starting with python is a good idea, it is simple, is an OOP and also a Functional programming. With a lot of initial disappointments and plenty patience anybody can learn, just have plenty of DATA. Some people have made it seem as if learning programming is only for the biggest brains which isn't so. Make it a point to learn something each day and if you find any challenge drop the system for some time and do something else. Youtube and Google are good learning friends here.

My small start!
FamilyTwo Girls: One Married With Kids. The Other Is Not, But.... by LocalStandard1(op): 7:45am On Sep 23, 2022
Someone has to call out this hypocrisy today.

I find it quite funny that the Southern Nigeria feel more comfortable with a teenage to early adulthood girl going about amassing multiple body counts with men of all ages, sizes and marital statues, having multiple abortions, many before adulthood, doing all sorts of fetish and wild intimate tango, code named "exploring".

Many even found fault in the Anambra state government for abolishing wearing of mini skirts by secondary school girls. Funny!

On the other hand savagely criticizing the core north for teenage marriage. Girls that more likely get married virgins, having their first kids in the confines of a standard home.

We aren't ardent practitioners of underaged marriage in my side, but when a girl becomes pregnant outside marriage she most carry the foetus, give birth to them.

Don't talk down on me yet. Early marriage doesn't stop a female from pursuing education or a carrier, my grand mother married at about 15_16yrs, still managed to go to school and get an NCE, A degree and even reached her masters level before retiring as a teacher. I know many people with mothers and grands with similar stories now.

There is a problem in our society, big moral issues. But marrying more earlier in teens is not one of it, many rurals are still on it. Many urbans and "WOKE" languish in their 40s and 50s alone, bitter, in conflict with themselves.

The quetion might not always be when, but with whom?

NaijaRoyalty:
Nice one

APC and Tinubu and sour losers and will want to drag obi along but we must not give this to happen

The 2023 presidential election is between Peter Obi and Atiku abubakar.

APC and "E mi Lo'kan" ha lost out between before the election
Now we're talking.

I read some of their posts and I laugh, they can't get him out their mouths and sell their candidate. They claim he memorize answers before interviews, they say he talks too much about the Nigerian problems, ok. Present your candidate for half the interview Obi grants let see if he doesn't collapse on national television and get flown to France.

No Presidential candidate is as engaging as the Labour Party's Peter Obi, yet they want 100% all the time. Funny.
PoliticsPeter Obi Might Loose This Election With This Pattern Of Campaigning by LocalStandard1(op):
Oh my!

It's getting very tiring and overwhelming at the new turn of campaigning by the LP supporters especially here. I mean:

Who can tell me the policies or manifestos of the APC and its presidential candidate? Come on now! I am waiting!! ....

Anyone? Someone?
Nobody!!!

Then Why do you compare and contrast yourselves with non other than Tinubu and his APC? Quite shameful and distracting you know.

Thier only campaign mantra is "an Igbo man will never be President", "everybody supporting Peter Obi is Igbo", "They are online supporters, they'll never win". But they can't stop their obsession for the LP.

The APC and its supporters literally have no campaign plan or roadmap, literally, than calling out "Peter Obi, Labour Party!" At every given opportunity. I mean look at their supporters here, nothing to campaign about, absolutely nothing. Ask them their candidate's policies and manifesto, non! He haven't and can't even present himself once for an interview even by his many media houses. Come on!!

Atiku is the man to beat, not Emilokan and his supporters.

When they they insult you ignore them, when they call you out waive them aside and then ignore them. A pig has nothing to loose getting muddy, should you join it?

Stop making Emilokan popular by doing the unthinkable of comparing him with The LP Presidential Candidate, Peter Gregory Obi. Please!
PoliticsRe: Dear Tinubu Supporters. by LocalStandard1(m): 8:03pm On Sep 21, 2022
Why are we still comparing Peter Obi with Tinubu? This thing is getting very disgraceful and out of control. Stop making Tinubu popular and feel important by comparing and contrasting both.

Quite shameful, stop it, don't bring the Labour Party Presidential candidate so low.

It might seem Wike the "wicked" is blowing tantrums here and there for nothing right? Well the man is right about everything.

2014 and subsequent years Atiku, Tambuwal, Saraki, Dino etc, all left the party in ruins, shambles and disgraced. We laughed at the party cos it couldn't at that time pay its rents. Even Goodluck Jonathan was no where to be found after leaving office.

There wouldn't be a PDP today if not for Wike. He was heralded into politics from the PDP and he has remained loyal up till today. Wike was the wagon that carried the party then, like Atlas with the stone he carried the burden of PDP when Atiku and co frolicked with the current ruling party.

Atiku, the current PDP presidential candidate was and is never loyal to any party, not even the PDP. A serial decampee he is.

Let me tell you what will happen when Atiku looses the Upcoming elections next year, write it down;

Atiku will abandon the party, his "loyalists", you, even the country, and move back to his enclave in Dubai. Who then will continue to foot your bills as a "party" man? Who will pay the rents and staff salary of your dear, dear party then?

Be wise, choose wisely who you follow!

What I mean is, people have personal traits and characteristics, let's not focus on people's personalities, let's focus on how to emancipate the black race, and develop our economy and society. We can do this, by developing our production and productivity, exporting rather than importing, patronizing local manufacturers.
Oh! Now we're talking.

Slave trade is a two way thing... Africans kidnapped ourselves for little money, moved each others to southern port sold ourselves to slave trade

King George and Queen Elizabeth cancelled slave trade yet you blame them for nothing they know about?
Who's "you"? I don't blame anybody for slave trade, definitely not the Queen Elisabeth of just yesterday. I don't role like that.

Now go back and read the post, slowly and carefully and you will understand my stand.

Some people might say "hay Local Standard, how could you say such a thing".

Did you watch the video were the British King, Charles, literally ignored then intentionally pretended and looked away just to avoid a Black man's handshake?

I am a Black Man, look up my profile, as Black as we come, literally dark and proud, very.

I had to drop my phone and watch the video on my laptop, a more bigger screen, multiple times just to be sure. Imagine!

I really don't care about their rant about the civil war, but I give it to them. The igbos of Nigeria seems to have a better foresight.

They were and are still mocked for saying the truth, but they did and continue to stand by it, and I have to admit, they are right about their stand here.
