good morning. very interesting topic. the church (christiandom) has been known to oppose totally anything, theory or Principles that goes against its teachings (the bible) as a matter of fact science has been basically the biggest threat to christianity and religion entirely. why u might ask, simply put, because science takes the mind beyond boundries as opposed to religion, science asks "why" and "why not" science bases itself on finding priciples and making calculations and finnally science stands on logic, not faith. As for me, anything created by the fusion of a sperm cell and an egg cell, that grows to become human and breathes air and can think, WILL HAVE A SOUL. Whether cloned or not (as clones are still created by the fusion of the sperm and egg cells).

Newton's laws don't work at the atomic and sub-atomic levels so it is actually quantum physics that dominates there and not mechanics so you're basically asking a wrong question.

2buff: I am not against using a condom to prevent unwanted birth. Contraception is a godsend for family planning.
If a baby had to come out every time a man and his wife got it on, I doubt that would be very manageable.

But I think I have heard of this anti contraceptive talks from some groups before. But they are just that...groups.
I would guess they also believe a man should only have sex with his wife when they want a baby...these people of course, are free to make their own life choices.
I wouldn't call it a Christian thing. In truth, contraception existed long ago. It just probably didn't come in the form of rubber and pills.

Now if it's about having sex with someone else that isn't your spouse, that's a whole other topic.

Why create a clone just to kill it? and why spawn new life no matter how small just to extinguish it?
That decision should be left to the life itself, not you. And if there is love, i doubt the life would ever choose to take its own life.

2buff: It's generally not a good idea and it doesn't bode well for the clone.
Cloning is generally inconsiderate of the clone it creates.
How would you feel knowing you are just a photocopy of another human being? You will feel inferior your whole copied life and at some point might consider suicide, or outright murder to be the only one (if morally uninclined).

Most people also wouldn't just clone for fun, but for organ harvesting, etc.
