BusinessWhat's The Way Forward With This Increase In Transport Cost? by logik29(op): 5:13pm On Jun 03, 2023
In light of the recent development in the country, fuel scarcity and increase in the cost of petrol to 511 naira. embarassed

We built an app that enables you to share your ride with others. smiley

If you're a car owner, you can create a trip on the app and share your ride with others going the same direction with you. wink

If you don't have a car, you simply join a trip going your direction. cool

You can also create trips if you don't have a car - you just create a trip, get people to join your trip and you book either bolt or uber and split the cost among yourselves.

This would help you save your money by sharing the cost of transportation with others especially in this economy. tongue

The name of this app is DRIVEINHUD and you can check out this app by downloading it for free on playstore! shocked

Ps. I'll be giving 500 naira airtime to 10 random people who download this app, leave a 5 star rating and good feedback. smiley

I'll be appreciating as many as I can with a token of 500 airtime in their preferred network. Simply download the app, leave a 5 star rating and a positive feedback. tongue

Ps. Kindly reply to this thread with a screenshot showing you've done the above as proof. wink

Don't let this removal of fuel subsidy stop you from meeting your babe or going on dates o.. grin

There's this app that you can use to meet people, share your ride, and split the transport cost. cool

Whether you have a car o or you don't have a car, this app is for you. shocked

It's on both play store and app store. Quickly search for Driveinhud and install the app.

You can now move around for less, go and see your lover, go out on dates. Increase in fuel cost got nothing on you! tongue

I would pay as many monikers as I can back their data spent to download this app by giving 500 airtime in their preferred network! wink

You just have to download the Driveinhud app, leave a 5 Star rating, positive feedback and finally reply to this thread with a screenshot as proof that you've done this.
Jobs/VacanciesHow You Can Move To Work For Cheap In This Period by logik29(op): 4:23pm On Jun 03, 2023
Since the president announced subsidy removal we all are aware of the fact that fuel price has gone up to 511-600 naira per litre. lipsrsealed

As working professionals, we have to commute daily to work and the cost of transportation is not funny at all. sad

We can agree that this has affected our productivity negatively and it's causing a toil on us

In order to reduce the pain and suffering, there's an app built for sharing rides and splitting the cost

As a car owner, you can create a trip going to your destination and other people can join you thereby splitting the cost if buying fuel among yourselves

If you don't have a car, you can join a trip going to your destination. You can also create a trip, meet people that joined your trip, join money together and book bolt or uber!

This would drastically reduce transport costs, help you network with other professionals and you get to save money while commuting to work comfortably. cool

The app I'm talking of is called Driveinhud and is available for download on both play store and app store for free. smiley

Kvngfrosh:
what if I know just Java and Maven ?
If you already know Java, then it's easier for you to learn it

You just have to learn selenium webdriver (this is what dominates the market) . Selenium WebDriver is like an Automation tool that does the test without you doing anything. Just write the code and selenium webdriver will execute it

The code you write is Java that's why I said it's easier to learn if you know Java.

Next thing to learn is different test frameworks because selenium webdriver only automates task it does not test. The test frameworks are Junit5 and TestNG.

This is what does the actual test of the application under test.

Next thing is to learn api testing using postman or if you want to learn Cypress using JavaScript then you go ahead.

I'll stop here. I don't have any real world experience yet but atleast I know enough to be employable, the rest I'll learn on the job.

Ps. I'm telling you this because I've been seeing how interested you are in tech especially front-end development (which is also what I wanted to do) and the questions you've asked tensa. I just feel like we're in the same phase of our life and I know you even tho we have never talked before. So, I'm just updating you on the path I took.

The internet is strange lol. I've never talked to you before but I feel like we're close....any questions you got about test automation I'll answer you to the best of my ability

Have a good day sir.

Hello

I am a Quality Assurance Engineer and I specialize in both manual and automation testing using selenium webdriver with java and Cypress with JavaScript. I also do API testing using postman.

I understand BDD testing using cucumber too.

I would like to know if this position is still open and more details about it.

It's really free. The path way you're studying is different from the one on your website. Don't mix them up. The one on their website cost money for non eu students, but the one you're studying is like a scholarship.

What they did was to determine your academic performance and commitments from afar, by putting the first year study online for free. So if you do well, then they can sponsor you to Finland from the second year.

There are lots of cases where student came and abandoned their studies after given scholarship from day one, I've seen it happened a lot. It's risky for the reputation of the school, the money they spent, and just waste of effort.

Everything is on their website there. Did you read it before applying? Of course I'm just paraphrasing some things, because they won't say it like this, but you must read in between the lines.
Thanks you for your response sir

I didn't apply for the program
I just signed up for the course through the link you sent ... that link loads a kind of online learning portal, so I just signed up there and started taking the course.

I don't know if that's what's you meant by "applying"

Guys this is the link below

golab .fi / sse
Thank you chief for the link.
I've registered and started a course. Please, I've got a question to ask if you don't mind:

I went through the university official site and I saw that for non-eu students. School fees costs 8k for the first year, then one can apply for scholarship for the second year. If successful, school fees will be reduced to 4k.

So, my question is that is it really free? Or "free" In this context means paying 4k for school fees? And, it wasn't stated on their site that they're going to assist international students to come over. (I'm just trying to do some research to see if this opportunity is credible or "some too good to be true" offer)

Another question is, I saw on the site that application ended since Jan. 8, but I registered for the online lectures through the link you sent... is the link you sent different from the main course?

Thank you for your time and sorry for disturbing you good sir
TravelRe: Finland Japa by logik29(m):
pansophist:
If you will study, then four million is not enough unfortunately. 4M naira is about 6k euros, it won't pay for your school fees even. You need at least 8-10k euros for that.

I mean, its a huge money, but naira have fallen so badly that when converted to euros, it becomes so small. If you can increase it, then try. It worth working hard for.

Or you go for bachelor degree programs. They are usually cheaper. Lapland university of applied sciences have the cheapest degree program. At about 4k a year, even better if they give you a scholarship.

I can't recommend any course for you. But go to studyinfo. fi, and search for courses that you like, also use the filter botton to search better. But I'll give you a possibility of relocating without spending much.

Lab university of applied sciences just started a four year engineering bachelor program called sustainable solutions engineering. So you study the first 60 credits (out of 240 credits) online, if you perform well, then from the second year, you can study in Finland for free.

The university will assist you to come to Finland, and tuition fee will be free. The country needs people in that field, so they exempt that program from tuition payment.

You won't find the link to the program on their website (I don't know why), but drop your email and I'll send it to you, so you can apply. I got it through their newsletter, since I applied there long time ago when I was like you, trying to japa.

Goodluck mate. May God bless your hustle.

I started looking for ways to earn online last, being a mum and a housewife without working. I had to look for something to be able to support my husband and get industrious too. I searched online but couldn't find anything helpful. Not until I came across a post made by an influencer that I am following on Facebook on how to acquire digital skills and monetize them. I had to click the link and joined the group. I made inquiries and paid for the class and that was the beginning of an eye-opener for me.

Is anyone following?
yes!

My next stop was Namwon, a small town located a few hours away from Seoul. I found a nice, modern and affordable hanok (traditional house) hotel and decided to spend a night there. The hotel also had a beautiful garden with a nice pavilion right behind it. If you watch Kdramas, there have been quite a few dramas shot in this place. The meal in the first picture was from this town.
These place looks like songrim in the movie, Alchemy of souls

There is creating e-learning content for LMS platforms, it's a niche and fetches money on freelance platforms, another skill is knowing no-code tools.

There is a remote platform catered to just no-code tools such as Bubble, Webflow and others

I always just tell people google Upwork freelancers, there's some skill like setting up Zoom for people making some Nigerians money
Thank you very much for your time
I'll research on them

Hello good afternoon and compliment of the season.

I quoted you on this dead thread so you could kindly answer few questions i got if you don't mind sir

Some few months ago, you posted a job site called justjoinIT as a non-popular site for getting tech jobs.

I'm currently applying using that site and I notice that most application forms requires applicants to fill in their Poland address, Poland telephone number and also the Poland language they speak even for remote jobs.

I want to ask you how you went about it and would also appreciate if you post more unpopular job boards one could get tech jobs.

Thank you for your time and reply

I never suspected you were a busy body.... quote where I ever discouraged anyone from learning a skill before going abroad. Quote where I ever discouraged anyone from going abroad legally ... or doing research and making solid preparations before doing so otherwise. What did I flaunt that made you conclude I live a good life? .... Hennessey?... I don't even drink. I can only imagine if you were a female and some random guy flash you a pix of Hennessey the kind of female you would be.... but I also know some guys think the same... just saying. Or was it my 2004 Big Daddy with 260K miles .... my only possession anyone on SM knows about made you conclude I'm living the good life? It is not good to be poor ... having little or no worldly possessions but it is ten times worse to be mentally poor or an ignoramus.

@ topic ... anyone who says one should not get more than one passport would sound foolish defending that statement. If someone has two passports.... Passport A may make it easier for him to enter a country than his Passport B and vice versa. If one has a US Passport and a Nigerian Passport .... traveling to let's say Singapore . If he uses the US Passport.... no hassle entry. If he uses the Nigerian Passport... Room 106.... interrogation. Destination Russia.... US passport presented.... Room 106 Express. Nigerian Passport presented.... questioning and released.

You forgot to mention another online wizard which is originalsly and dru23

dru23 lives in the US, flaunts henessy and a good life he lives but actively discourages anyone from japa and even learning an IT skill to be prepared for japa.

His reasons are racism and that he can't work two jobs just to give all the earning back to white men in the name of tax lol... so he's telling everyone not to learn a tech or med skill or work two jobs so as to earn high

....very wicked fellow I must say...
