Oga thanks so much for the response. How far is the VSF office from the roundabout? Also, Is there any specification for the envelope to put my documents for submission? And is there any other info that would be useful that I need to know?

Many many thanks!

From a friend.

VFS office from the roundabout is about 5 minutes trekking distance.

You don't need an envelope. You'll get a folder bag from VFS.

All info needed are kind of specific to your visa needs.

You might find time to come around or call.

I sincerely thank everyone for the prompt and helpful response given to enquiries raised here.

Please, I want to submit my application for study visa and I would like to know how to get to the VFS office in lekki by public transport. I would be coming from Egbeda- oshodi axis and I'm not familiar with the island.

Thank you in anticipation of your kind response.

Attention : justwise sheddymore Manager007

From oshodi, enter lekki bus direct.

If you can't see, take a bus going to obalende.

From obalende, take a bus to Lekki.

Drop at 3rd round about..

Just ask around.

Yes, you just submit the application and they get back to you. 11am is ok. Traffic is not usually hectic during that period.

Thanks a lot.. I appreciate..

I heard there's a 150 application limit, is this perday or per week?

Moroeso, do you have any idea on how a visa for a training for 5 days should be?
Travel / Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by LogoDWhiz(m): 11:15pm On Dec 08, 2018
Hi guys.

A friend of mine needs help. I said lemme drop it here. Cos I believe there will be help.

How is the SA visa like?
Is there an oral interview where you'll get the result immediately or you do the oral interview and you don't get an instant result but they'll get back to you.
Or you just submit the application and they get back to you.

Secondly, can one go around 11 and still be attended to?
How's the traffic like in the Lagos vfs office.

Thanks all.

Family / Re: Survey On Househelp Employment by LogoDWhiz(m): 5:43pm On Oct 07, 2018
Assist23:
Dear friends, I need your help with this survey please.

I am trying to do a study on our methods of engaging househelps and managing them

Please this is a no judgement zone. Kindly answer honestly as it will really help my research.

Thank you very much in anticipation of your assistance

No judgment, No attacking other people's opinions:

1. What age range do we feel is ideal for a househelp?
18-30

2. What do you think is a fair salary? Depends on location, expected work to do, Accomodation, and all.
30 to 60k should do.

3. What measures should be taken to prevent possibility of crime by the househelp or Nanny?
Get insured. There should be an insurance of sort.. Recruit from an agency who has done background checks.

4. What do you think constitutes abuse on the Nanny or househelp ( Where does correction stop and abuse starts? Eg, is it okay to slap, spank, verbally scold?) ?
Stern warning is enough.
There could be a penalty on her contract of sort.

5. Would you take a househelp for deliverance before engaging her?
Nah.. Not necessarily needed.
Be nice, respect people and trust that they'll do same.

Thank you very much

See answers in response to the questions..

To you computer oriented folks on here, do you think getting a college degree in Computer Science or any related subject is a waste of time, and why?

Obainojazz LogoDWhiz

To explain this, let me use myself as an example,

I wanted to study medicine, had a high score in jamb. But didn't score enough in post jamb. I wasn't given medicine so I decided to chill till the next year.

I went for a computer engineering course for three months which actually changed my perspective.
A new universiry came on board and I decided to apply for Computer science pending when the next jamb will be out.

I had this mentality that computer science is a course anybody can study, just go to a computer centre and you'll learn it. Also, every university or school that is created always have computer science, so I felt it's a regular and simple course

But after that training and after the first 2 years in school, I had a change of mentality. Even when I was given admission to medicine in the next year,i decided not to go.

If you know you want to have a career in IT, study computer science.
You'll have more exposure to the fundamentals and various fields under CS.
You'll understand the basics of how things work, you'll be able to decide on the career path that's best for you.

So no, it's not a waste of time.

Very, very serious.
Serious enough that I have even scouted out the school to get my BSc from, and the sites to start studying towards the main entry level certifications like CEH and CompTIA Security+ from.
CISSP needs a certain amount of experience as an IT Pro, or I'd have gone for it from the start.

Make sense.
This is my career path too.

I've sent you a PM

Tuition for that course if you are not given fee waiver is €6,000 per year.
The school name is actually TUT (Tallinn university of Technology).

Thanks mavin

I think the course runs for 2 years. So that €12000.

What about the processing fee for visa, flight, application?

I believe you're a student of TUT already. No?
