@poster- realkemmy and chuxy 12 have said it all, im also planning to take the exams but want to be thru with my ican first. |
First thing ill say is that not all girls seek ready made guys, personally i like guys that are very ambitious, u might not necessarily have money but if uve got that drive, intelligence and ambition ill definitely find you attractive and wuldnt mind going into a relationship with you, the reason some girls ask those questions ( thou most ask for material reasons) is cos they need to find out if the guy in question is intellectually ok, and has a reasonable enuff job to sustain them if they eventually get married. If ure unemployed but can prove to a lady that ure smart and uve got ambition and ull certainly make it soon, i see no reason why she shouldn't dig you. As for the getting married if uve got no money, i would advise against it. Personally i think a man should earn a steady income of say a minimum of about a million yearly to sustain a marriage considering he'll be paying bills like house rent, nepa, hospital bills (when d wife takes in) and so on. |
The Godfather- definitely the best |
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-100122.0.html ayeesha check out that story, its proof that some of our romantic fantasies do exist. |
aboki1010: ![]() more stories please, im feeling this thread, i think with my ex it was always the usual "another girl" stuff, nd when it got to the point where i culdnt handle it anymore, i did the smart thing- i let him go and moved on, |
i was reading your post and my insides just went all mushy, it sounds like a page in a romance novel and i must tell you, u do have a wonderful husband, praying for a man like that, so glad u could work things out, much respect! |
shagger:I couldnt have said it any better, thank you so much for pointing out those facts. Christians and muslims have been living together peacefully in so many parts of the world but there are extremists that exist within both religions that will not just let peace reign, hence when the slightest opportunity for a battle arises, blood shed occurs and who gets the blame "the muslims" because "every christian believes islam is the religion that preaches violence", what they fail to understand is that individuals are different and no one should be held accountabe for any mans sins just because they share the same religion. I think instead of slandering muslims and saying the usual bull**** we could all pray for the family of the person that lost his life and for those that lost their homes and hope that sanity returns to the state soonest! @davidylan- u once said that u had muslim friends, i really hope they know how you truly feel about them |
that was a grin, ure so rite, all ur points make sense |
;d |
Notting Hill |
Ure right i kind of ignored it too until mnet holiday started on the 10th of Dec. I think its really funny and fun to watch, america ferrari plays the part of ugly betty so well and she's actually very pretty. |
@seun- thanks for helping out the poster "fell to feel" |
@ staremysta- the thing is u might have to chill a while to get the complete season 2 on dvd here in naija since the season just rounded up, u culd keep up online till its available, check previous posts for links |
@i dey vex-thank you oh, i no know who teach that yeye guy english, its better to just leave a thread if uve got nothing to say instaed of yarning dust |
@ ayeesha-have u noticed that most of amanda quick's historicals have that funny side to it, they're such fun to read im sure u know she writes as jayne ann krentz for her contemporary romance novels and as jayne castle for her futuristic books, darn u just got to love her, im such a big fan. for her newest titles u could check out her page on www.krentz-quick.com, it'll help with ur collection. @chychy-yeah we've heard, u can leave the thread now, bye. |
@ seun- i think u're being too harsh on the poster, being the elder one she's acting on her natural protective instincts and yes he might be responsible but may not flow with the chic @poster- i think that being socially compatible is very important in any relationship, if they dont have any thing in common or cant have a fun conversation together, hang out or do stuff together then ur sister is bound to get bored soonest. and she saying she'll change him, that may be hard considering he's a man already. I suggest u try talking to her but if she insists then free her, it's her life, let her make her own mistakes |
yeah i noticed that mnet was showing nora roberts adaptations (her contemporary ones) sometime last month, but the thing is they hardly make historical romance books into novels, i wonder why I also like linda howard, ive read some of her books |
I dont agree that the ability to write comes naturally from reading a lot, yeah it could help build your vocabulary but writing aint beans, so if ure to make a choice between learning how to read or write, its better u're taught how to write. I mean once u get ur basic education u should be able to read, its just ur attitude that may keep u from actually becoming a good reader, however writing is a totally different ballgame, believe me i know wat im talking about. I joined a publishing firm for my service year and i thought i could handle the pressure, by the time they edit my first write up ehnnn, thats when i know say writing no be beans! |
@poster- how do you fell when your man broke your heart @ answer-i fell down. |
hmmmmmmmm ayeesha im not so sure romance is a guy thing, getting ur guy addicted too, thats a bit far off anyways glad u share my passion, historical romances are just so sweet, i wish they could adapt them into movies like they do the bestsellers, it'd be lovely to watch. |
@poster, i strongly recommend that you speak for urself, some of us can do without it ok ![]() |
@poster-he's ur husband, dat means he comes home to you everynite, if ure as smart as i think u are, im pretty sure ull work something out soon ![]() |
;d |
;d |
Letters may be outdated but some firms still ask for handwritten applications when recruiting. @poster, i think ure in the wrong section. |
@poster-its liar ok @nautillus-u may just be right about the "bad grammar" |
i feel you on the m&b thing, thou i still allow myself to pick them up now & then, and yes u learn enuff by reading them ![]() |
@playmate thank you oh, if u hate romance this aint ur thread. I haven't read "the hier" im sure if u hunt it down, ull find it, enjoy |
@loveoge, something like that |
sorry girl, some of us live and breathe romance novels, shallow yeah but they help take ur mind of a lot of things and they could actually help you learn a thing or two about passion ![]() |
sooooooooo against it, what if it doesnt work out, then wat next, continue as colleagues, no way, as for ur boss, well thats a no go area, i truly wonder how chics get to navigate that area, it takes a lot of guts. |
