choose4me: It takes time to get there.about 2 weeks or more.give it time they'll get it.meanwhile you can contact the school to ask if they got it.make sure you include your applicant number so it will be easy to find.the admissions board cant help with that.you'll be told to contact the school directly so if you have done that they will reply. I sent my school an email and no reply for 3days now.reply usually come within a day.I dont know why its taking time now. i think it's cos they have so many enquiries they are dealing with presently , all I have to do is keep hoping they'll reply. BTW which of the schools is your first choice? |

if u have ur WAEC certificate, getting the admission letter will take abt 3days so no qualms as long as u have the school fees ready. North Cyprus is somewhat expensive to live in and as i learnt, there are no jobs like that so u have to be financially buoyant to be able to cope. but if u afford it i'll advice u to enrol and cross over to finland later in the year. |

thanks for the info, admission is still on for North cyprus, tution is $3000 per semester at EMU but u'll get a 50% Scholarship which reduces the tution to abt $1500 PER SEMESTER. resumption is this january but i think u can still apply. let me know if u're still interested. |

nedostic: pls can anyone who attends EMU tell me the duration of the masters programme in economics?also how much is the tuition fees for the entire duration of the programme? how much is the average living expense in naira as well in northern cyprus for a student in a month or perhaps a year?
hope one can sponsor himself? i think visiting www.emu.edu.tr would do u good. from what i have read on this site so far, I'm not sure u'd be able to cope in North Cyprus if you don't have a sponsor. |

Aloy+Emeka: Alao-Akala dissolves LGs, appoints caretaker chairmen Written by Dapo Falade and Adebayo Waheed Friday, December 17, 2010
THE Oyo State government, on Thursday, dissolved the 33 local government areas in the state and appointed interim chairmen to run their affairs.
97% of the old ones were returned so what's interim abt it? Akala needs serious psychological attention
http://odili.net/news/source/2010/dec/17/604.html
The decision, which was approved by the state House of Assembly, was as a result of the expiration of the three-year tenure of the chairmen.
Among the interim chairmen appointed by the state government was the spokesman of the state chapter of Goodluck Support Group, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, who was named the interim chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area.
Each interim chairman is expected to be assisted by six other members of their respective local government. Meanwhile, interim chairmen for three out of the 33 local government areas have not been announced.
The affected councils are Ibadan South-West, Iba-rapa East and Ibarapa North. The state governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, promised to communicate names of interim chairmen to the state House of Assembly soon.
Apart from Olaosebikan, others appointed included Mr Akinbiyi Oluwole (Afijio); Olayiwola Emma-nuel (Akinyele); Titi Oba-dokun (Atiba); Adedeji Ademola (Atisbo); Oke Tajudeen (Egbeda); Aderi-bigbe Ghandi (Ibadan North); Ayodele Aderemi (Ibadan North-West); Ismaila Akinsola (Ibadan North-East); Adedoja Bola-rinwa (Ibadan South-East) and Ojo Ademola (Ibarapa Central).
Others were Abraham Oloyede (Ido); Afeez Tijani (Irepo); Taiwo Olayinka (Iseyin), Idowu Olaniyi (Itesiwaju); Timothy Ola-lekan (Iwajowa); Kayode Ige (Kajola); Akinmoyede Olafisoye (Lagelu); Oloyede Tunde (Ogbomoso North); Adewale Adeleke (Ogbo-moso South); Gbadebo Ezekiel (Ogo-Oluwa) and Ayantunde Ayodeji (Olo-runsogo).
Also appointed were Alhaji Taofik Olayiwola (Ona-Ara); Lukman Balo-gun (Orelope); Ahmed Babatunde (Oriire); Kamo-rudeen Shittu (Oyo East); Francis Ayandele (Saki East); Fatai Okunola (Oyo West); Nasiru Salami (Saki West) and Ogundiran Israel (Surulere). |

PhysicsQED: I doubt these Islamic banks, if they were to take off, would be anywhere other than the North and the Muslim areas of cities in the south. And sharia courts are only applicable to Muslims. Go n steal in zamfara n tell them u can't be tried in a sharia court cos u're a christian. I won't stop saying that sanusi would be better off an imam than a banker, Nigeria is hetero-religious,why introduce islamic banking? Like Chyz rightly said, this guy is trying to islamize Nigeria through the back door. Rubbish! |

nuttyp: Please listen, these are for matured minds only. Forget about I want an Ibadan candidate or bleaching man or bling bling, no sentiments plz I am a critic of politics and i deal with facts, What i have noticed in the past 4 years, EDUCATION -prompt payment of NECO fees for SS 3 students -Building of class-rooms in sec. and primary schools. This is done quarterly i understand about 40 classrooms per quarter do the maths, -Building of Model sec. schools. Saw one around orita-aperin axis, i honeslty i first thought it was an international private school(3 storey buildings). -promotion of over 7 thousand teachers. -Salary increments(First 2007, second 2010 very messy i must confess) -Employment of over 1500 teachers (2010). -Consistently organizing trainings and workshop for teachers, principals, VP, non-teaching staffs both locally and internationally. In case you don't know at least 10 principals travel outside Nigeria every year from Oyo State for seminars now.(Singapore and Lesotho these 2 i can confirm) -Principals now collect running grant promptly every term which they embezzle. -Re-establishing the Oyo State scholarship board and awarding over 700 tertiary students 100k per student scholarship(Knew someone who benefitted). Scholarships for Over-seas Masters on-going(Read dailies), i think to Belgium or somewhere. -Consistently giving out car loans to 120 teachers every month both primary and sec. schools. -Establishing a College of Agriculture in Oke- Ogun. A big one, i have been there. -Building of 1000 seater, 1200 capacity lab. for 100level student and state of the art teaching hospital in LAUTECH. I think these are what i can remember for now.
HEALTH. -Renovation of Ade-Oyo I, the other Ade-Oyo is on-going. It was a complete face lift. If you live in Ibadan you should know this. -Distribution of drugs to hospitals in Oyo- State. -Building of General Hospitals and health centers in all the 33 local governments in Oyo State -Salary increment for all nurses and doctors in Oyo State (2009), they now collect double of their allowances since then, ask any nurse you know works in oyo state. -Renovation of Jericho (On-going). -Recruitment of medical staffs (late 2009/early 2010). -Distributing ambulances to all the 33 local governments in the state. The local govnmnt staffs now use them as "official" cars (wonders shall never end) These are all i know WORKS AND HOUSING -Dualization of oke-ogun road -Completing the dualization of Ojoo-Mokola and queen cinema-molete. Guys let's be serious the roads where well constructed of drive along very often. -Forcing chairmen to tar 10km road every 6 months in each local government by deducting the sum from their allocations and asking them to bring contractors. Most roads not well done but at least in my 12 yrs in Ibadan i now see local governmnts tarring road, hilarious. -Construction of housing estates along apata-omi I think we all can see so many road projects in our various areas, both the good and the bad ones. Up to the extent that a teacher once told me he doesn't need good roads, what he needs is more money in his pocket(good point),so many road projects mean the government has money so teachers need their own share(2010) -Yeah i almost forgot, traffic lights and street lights even though some might not work very well, but very few.
Guys am tired got to sleep we'll continue with the +ve projects and the -ve ones, plus many rubbish arrangments. If i 4get someone can pls PM me. SAFE You were making sense wen you started but now i can conclude that you are either one of those benefitting directly or by proxy from his illegal administration. How do u expect someone who stole his way to power to have any vision for the state? Yes My mum is a level 16 principal and she comes home with less than 60k a month whereas her counterpart in osun earns over a 100k No principals don't collect grants on time. Don't refer to that motuary he's building in Ogbomoso as "state-of-the-art", that thing started giving way as early as 10months into construction. {U need to see how substandard the completed ones look.} That college of agric is in Ibarapa not oke-ogun and it's nothing to write home about. I am an ENT patient and I must tell you that despite the said 3B renovation, adeoyo still stinks like a motuary. Ojoo-mokola road was started by Ladoja before Akathief hijacked his govt. Don't even talk abt iwo-rd-monatan rd, it shud have been left indualised cos rain has washed asphalt off the better part of the road. the 10 principals that travelled out are leaders of Akala-teachers vangaurd, they went on leisure not for any training as it was portrayed. Just wake up to reality and stop living in self denial, amass enuff wealth as much as you can under his govt cos the much-desired change is imminent. |
