The authorities of the Nigerian Army have concluded arrangement to inaugurate a General Military Court Martial to try some officers and soldiers who allegedly erred during the Boko Haram invasion of the Baga headquarters of the Multi National Joint Task Force.

Our correspondent gathered that the court scheduled to be inaugurated on Tuesday at the Mogadishu Cantonment would be led by Maj. Gen. E.O. Ekanem as President.

It was learnt that the Army authorities shifted the inauguration initially scheduled for March 28, 2015 to April 14, 2015.

The authorities were said to have postponed the inauguration because they had not got the right membership for the composition of the panel then.

The court is expected to prosecute a Brig. Gen. and 10 other officials comprising colonels, Lt. colonels and majors.

The authorities of the Nigerian Army have also inaugurated a Special Military Court Martial to try soldiers for certain offences committed during the ongoing counter-terrorism operation in the North-East.

It was learnt that 100 soldiers comprising warrant officers and mainly other ranks were facing prosecution for “offences bordering on military indiscipline.”

Investigations revealed that the Special Court Martial sitting at the Army Headquarters Garrison, the Mogadishu Cantonment, is headed by Lt. Col. M.T. Mendie.

It was learnt that the court would sit for 48 hours after which judgment would be delivered on Friday.

The Special Court Martial is expected to listen to cases emanating from soldiers’ conduct, indiscipline and handling of equipment in Bama and Adamawa.

Although, the spokesman for the Army Headquarters Garrison, Col. Aliyu Yusuf, confirmed the inauguration of the court, he did not give any further details.

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday raised concerns over the increasing use of foreign currencies as a medium of exchange in the country and warned that persons caught in the illegal act risked a six-month jail term upon conviction.

The central bank said in a statement that some individuals and corporate bodies had been using foreign currencies, especially the United States dollar, to price some of their products and services, and were also using same as a medium of exchange.

The development, the bank said, was against the provisions of the CBN Act, 2007, and asked members of the public to report anyone caught transaction business in the country in foreign currencies to it or the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The statement issued by the Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Mr. Ibrahim Muazu, read, “The attention of the bank has been drawn to the increasing use of foreign currencies in the domestic economy as a medium of payment for goods and services by individuals and corporates.

[b]“It has also been observed that some institutions price their goods and services in foreign currencies and demand payment in foreign currencies rather than the domestic currency (the naira), which is the legal tender in Nigeria.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the attention of the general public is hereby drawn to the provision of the CBN Act of 2007, which states inter-alia that ‘the currency notes issued by the bank shall be legal tender in Nigeria…for the payment of any amount.’”

It added, “Furthermore, the Act stipulates that any person(s) who contravenes this provision is guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a prescribed fine or six months imprisonment.

“This prohibition, however, is without prejudice to foreigners, visitors and tourists who are encouraged to continue to use their cards for payments or exchange their foreign currencies for the local currency at any of the authorised dealers’ outposts.

“The general public is hereby advised to report any contravention of the provision of this Act to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the CBN for appropriate action.”

Meanwhile, the naira fell to 204 against the dollar at the parallel market on Tuesday as politicians were said to be engaged in massive purchase of the greenback ahead of the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections on Saturday.

The naira had risen to 190 against the United States currency on Sunday following the peaceful conduct of the presidential election.

Foreign exchange dealers, who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, said the naira tumbled on Tuesday after politicians mopped up dollars on the streets of Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt.

“The naira is falling because politicians are buying dollars massively on the street market to fund the campaigns ahead of the governorship and states’ Houses of Assembly elections on Saturday,” one of the dealers said.

PoliticsImpeachment: Deputy Gov, Others Block Ekiti Assembly Entrances by lolaxavier(op): 7:32am On Apr 07, 2015
Members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State on Monday blocked the two major roads leading to the state House of Assembly following rumours that 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers were planning to hold a sitting to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The party loyalists were led by the Deputy Governor, Kolapo Olusola; a former Speaker, Tunji Odeyemi; the Special Assistant to the governor on Information, Lanre Ogunsuyi, and Fayose’s Public Communications and New Media aide, Lere Olayinka.

Although nine Toyota Hilux vans carrying men and officers of the Police and the Department of State Services manned the main entrances to the Assembly, the PDP members erected canopies about 200 metres away from the Assemby’s premises.

Some of them sat quietly under the canopies erected by the Secretariat Road while others danced to music supplied in front of the old complex.

A bus was used by the PDP members to prevent movement into the Assembly premises from the same road.

On Iyin Road, many of the party supporters also ensured that no one was allowed into the complex.

The APC lawmakers, who had since November 17 stayed away from the House proceedings, had served Fayose with an impeachment notice. They cited impunity, brigandage, stalking and other constitutional breaches by Fayose as reasons for the impeachment notice.

But Ogunsuyi told journalists on Monday that the APC lawmakers led by the Speaker, . Adewale Omirin, erred in law by sending a notice of impeachment to Fayose.

He added that Omirin could not claim to be the Speaker while still challenging his own impeachment in the court.

The governor’s information aide said, “The new Nigeria which President Goodluck Jonathan and Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) all campaigned for is the one that would respect the rule of law. With this convergence, you can see that the people are standing by their governor. They are ready to defend their mandate.

“Nobody asked Omirin and other APC lawmakers not to come to the Assembly; they only decided to abdicate their duties since November 17, 2014. Impeachment procedure does not start and end with the Assembly alone. The Judiciary is involved; so their action or plan is highly condemnable.

“We want to emphasise that they are welcome as long as they are concerned about making laws for the progress of the state; but if it is meant to come and impeach Governor Fayose, we won’t allow that.”

Ogunsuyi, however said the governor, as the leader of the state, would continue to extend the olive branch to the lawmakers.

He said, “We don’t want any unwholesome issue because the task of developing Ekiti is an onerous task that needs to be pursued with vigour. The governor doesn’t want any distraction and that is why he has been pursuing peace at all times.

“We want some measure of decorum in Ekiti. We are not proud of the era whereby we had three governors within a week. We want a stable government and that we will continue to pursue for Ekiti to be at peace.”

Odeyemi advised the APC lawmakers to sheathe their swords and allow peace to reign by putting the interest of the state above theirs.

He said,”The entire issue calls for concerns. As a former legislator, I am quite aware of the rudiment of impeachment process, but far from this, the issue of the news any impeachment will bring to Ekiti’s credibility is uppermost in my mind.

“How would they perceive Ekiti as a people nationwide? So, I am calling on my colleagues to have a rethink because we are duty bound to contribute to the development of this state. I plead with them to embrace reconciliation and forget about heating up the polity unnecessarily.”

Olayinka said he received a call from an unknown person on Monday who claimed to be an official of the DSS .

Olayinka added that the caller whom he described as an impersonator, said his office received a report that he was inciting people of the state to violence with the state-owned radio.

He said, “I received a call today (Monday) from a number, 08141602777, claiming that it was from the DSS headquarters in Abuja. I was told that a report was made in the DSS office that I was inciting Ekiti people to violence with the Ekiti Radio.”

According to him, the general manager of the Progress FM, Ado Ekiti, also received a similar message from same number.

The aide stated that he later contacted the DSS office in Ado Ekiti to verify the claim and identify the caller but was told to disregard the call.

However, the APC lawmakers, in a statement said Fayose was compounding his problems by inciting people, who they called thugs, against the Assembly.

They advised him to note that violence would not solve the burden of constitutional breaches that he had placed on himself.

The lawmakers, in the statement by Omirin’s Special Adviser on Media, Wole Olujobi, wondered why a governor that had questions to answer would get involved in other unlawful conduct such as the invasion of the Assembly by thugs.

The statement read in part, “It is shocking that the governor would start any act of illegality bordering on public disorder when he is having a load of illegal acts on his head upon which he is facing removal from office.

“Ekiti people were shocked when news spread that the governor had asked his thugs to invade the Assembly and occupy the place to prevent the lawmakers from performing their legal duties.

“These PDP members were holding their meeting in their secretariat when instruction reached them that they must relocate to the Assembly premises where thugs were beating passersby and molesting motorists and residents. All these illegal acts cannot save the governor.

“This is the way a court in the state was invaded by thugs who beat up the judges. They tore court records in the Chief Judge’s office and beat up his secretary.

“Now is the turn of the House of Assembly. What the governor is doing is a confirmation that he does not believe and cannot tolerate democratic practice. But democracy is what Ekiti people want and so we expect people of conscience and good will to support the efforts to allow Ekiti people enjoy democratic governance.”

The lawmakers advised the governor to defend the allegations against him in the impeachment notice instead of resorting to self-help that offered nothing but unnecessary venting of anger on the peaceful people of Ekiti State.

They also confirmed in the statement that the security details of the Speaker had been restored by the Police and the DSS.

Meanwhile, Fayose has debunked a rumour that he had been advised by President Goodluck Jonathan to resign.

He also denied receiving impeachment notice from the 19 APC lawmakers who accused him of committing eight impeachable offences.

Fayose stated these on Monday during a media chat, Meet Your Governor, monitored in Ado Ekiti.

He boasted that nobody could remove him from office because he was holding a mandate given to him by the people of the state. He added that before anybody could remove him, such individual would have to remove God first and the people of Ekiti State.

Responding to questions from viewers on the blockage of roads leading to the Assembly complex , the governor said all the attacks on him were because of his support for President Goodluck Jonathan .

He said, “I don’t know of any invasion; I don’t know of any threat to the House of Assembly and I am not aware of any impeachment process. I am aware the House is on recess and Omirin is in court challenging his impeachment in Lagos and Abuja.”

“They claimed to have served me on Easter Day, can you imagine that? Who did they serve and who received it (the impeachment notice)?

“The enemies of Ekiti people are at work again. I left in 2006, eight years ago and God in his infinite mercy brought me back the same day and the same month that I was removed.

“They are waging war against my people, those who voted me in; nobody has served (impeachment notice). I read it on the Internet the same way you read it on the Internet.”

Fayose said he had no regret supporting and campaigning for Jonathan.

“Because Buhari won an election, they are waging war against me. When I won election, that was the same thing they did. They are not doing it for the love of Ekiti people but for their personal interest.

“Omirin wanted to become Acting Governor but the Bible says who art thou oh mountain before Zerubbabel, thou shall be removed. They employed every trick to frustrate my inauguration but they failed. I know hey will fail again.

“If you will remove me, you will have to remove God first who put me there. You can’t unseat God; nobody can unseat me. No matter their number, they can’t remove me.’’

Abimbola Fashola, wife of Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, in a chat with City People magazine shares her love story, and tells how she met her husband at the age of 27.

According to her, they were introduced by the governor's father, while she served at her best friend's engagement party.

Read what she said below:

"I met my husband at age 27. That was at my best friend's engagement then. I was serving and making sure everyone was okay and well taken care of, attending to people and all that. And then his father saw me and then said 'I have a son and I will like you to meet my son.' So I said no problem sir. He said 'good, my son will soon come in.'

"When he came, we introduced ourselves. We met. We exchanged our numbers and that was it. We took it off from there. He was cool, he looked cool-headed. He was friendly. He had no airs about him. He was a simple fellow. He was already working then as a lawyer.

"He was at Sofunde, Belgore & Co. He clicked with my sisters too. He was always going to parties with them. He was bubbling with them. I didn't use to go to parties with them. Since my sisters accepted him, I had no choice but to accept him," she said.

Litmus:
It will be interesting to see if Buhari compels the military to free these so-called Journalists. Of course the journalists could be freed due to pressure from Buhari in a way that hides the fact but I'm not a fan of those paradoxes whose purpose is to justify our purpose.

An example of a paradox that justifies our purpose is the one from which neither Johnathan or the North was able to escape leading up to the election and which still persists now. This is how it persists - if Bokoharam continues to wreck havoc in the North, Johnathan supporters will argue that, Buhari and the North want to keep up the terrorism for a short time longer just so it wont look suspicious that they are the ones sponsoring Bokoharam. On the other hand, supporters of Buharri will argue that the terrorism continues because Johnathan is the sponsors of Bokoharam and wants to destroy the north and Buhari's reputation. If the terrorism ends, Johnathan supporters will argue that Buhari ended it because he had the power to as their sponsors.

The upshot is, Buhari should not intervene, let the military do their job. If Buhari intervenes he'll rightly be viewed as a puppet of outside powers and Nigerians should be sure that we're in trouble as a nation. If the military frees the journalists we should not accuse Buhari of applying pressure unless there's irrefutable evidence.
What is dis one sayinghuh
Christianity EtcRe: 14 Evidences For The Resurrection Of Jesus Christ by lolaxavier(m): 7:52am On Apr 05, 2015
Unbias:
JESUS’ EXISTENCE. That Jesus was a historical individual is granted by virtually all historians and is supported by ancient Christian, Jewish, and pagan sources. Yet modern skeptics often feel that their best strategy for denying the evidence of his resurrection is to deny that he even existed.

JESUS’ DEATH. The most popular counter to the Resurrection in non-Christian and heretical beliefs is to deny that Jesus died on the cross (e.g., this is the position of Islam). However, historians regard the death of Jesus by crucifixion as ordered by Pontius Pilate to be as historically certain as any other fact of antiquity.

CRUCIFIED MESSIAH. Crucifixion was a horrible, shameful way to die, so much so that it would never have occurred to anyone in the first century to invent a story about a crucified man as the divine Savior and King of the world. Something extreme and dramatic must have happened to lead people to accept such an idea—something like his rising from the dead.

JOSEPH’S TOMB. All four Gospels agree that Jesus’ body had been buried in the rock tomb owned by Joseph of Arimathea, a member of the Jewish high council (the Sanhedrin). This is an unlikely Christian fiction, because Christians blamed the Sanhedrin for their role in having Jesus executed.

WOMEN WITNESSES. The four Gospels all agree that the first persons to find the tomb empty were Jewish women, including Mary Magdalene. It is very unlikely that anyone would make up such a story, since women’s testimony was devalued compared to men’s and since Mary Magdalene was known as a formerly demon-possessed woman. If the empty tomb story were fiction, one would expect that Joseph of Arimathea, already identified as the tomb’s owner and a respected male leader, would be credited with the discovery.

ANCIENT THEORIES. The earliest non-Christian explanations for the origin of the Resurrection belief (mentioned in John and Matthew) were that the body had been taken from the tomb—either moved to another burial place or stolen to fake the Resurrection. These explanations conceded three key facts: Jesus died; his body was buried in Joseph’s tomb; the tomb was later found to be empty.

TOMB WAS GUARDED. Critics routinely dismiss Matthew’s story about the guards being bribed to say that they fell asleep, giving the disciples opportunity to steal the body (Matt. 28:11-15). But Matthew would have no reason to make up the story about the guards being bribed except to counter the story of the guards saying they fell asleep (see v. 15). Either way, the guards were there: the body had been in the tomb, the tomb had been guarded, and the body was no longer there.

PAUL AND LUKE’S INDEPENDENT ACCOUNTS. Paul’s list of resurrection witnesses in 1 Corinthians 15:5-7 coincides with Luke’s account at several points, but in wording and in what is included Luke’s account is clearly independent of Paul. For example, Paul calls Peter by his Aramaic nickname “Cephas,” not Simon or Peter; he refers to “the twelve,” Luke to “the eleven”; Luke does not mention the appearances to James or the five hundred. Thus Paul and Luke give us independent accounts of the appearances they both mention.

CLOPAS AND THAT OTHER GUY. Luke gives the name of one of the two men on the road to Emmaus who saw Jesus (Clopas) but not the name of the other man. If he was making up names he would presumably have given both of the men names. The fact that he identifies only one of the two men by name is best explained if that man, Clopas, was the source of Luke’s account. In short, this fact is evidence that the account came from an eyewitness.

BROTHER JAMES. Although Luke does not mention the resurrection appearance to James (the Lord’s brother) mentioned by Paul in 1 Corinthians 6, Luke does report that James had become a leading member of the apostolic group (see especially Acts 15:13-21). Since Jesus’ brothers had rejected Jesus during his lifetime (John 7:5), Paul’s reference to Christ appearing to James is probably based on fact.

JOHN’S EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT. The author of the Gospel of John emphatically states that he was an eyewitness of the death of Jesus, of the empty tomb, and of resurrection appearances of Jesus (John 19:32-35; 20:2-9; 21:7, 20-25). Either he sincerely had these experiences or he was lying; appeals to legend or myth are out of the question here.

ANCIENT SKEPTICISM. Luke reports the skepticism of the men disciples the morning the tomb was found empty (Luke 24:22-24), and John reports Thomas’s skepticism about Jesus’ resurrection (John 20:24-26). These accounts (see also Acts 17:32; 1 Cor. 15:12) demonstrate that the perception of ancient people as gullible hayseeds who would believe any miracle story is a modern prejudicial stereotype.

PAUL’S CONVERSION. Paul was a notorious persecutor of the early Christians prior to his becoming an apostle. His explanation, that Christ appeared to him and called him to faith and the apostolic ministry, is the only plausible explanation for his 180-degree change. Moreover, Paul’s experience was entirely independent of the experience of the other apostles.

PAUL’S GENTILE MISSION. Paul’s encounter with the risen Jesus did not result merely in him accepting Jesus as the Jews’ Messiah. Instead, he saw himself, a trained and zealous Pharisee, as commissioned by Jesus to take the good news of the Messiah to uncircumcised Gentiles. The fact that Paul embraced such a calling against his former passionate beliefs and training makes any appeal to hallucination or delusion implausible.

eyeview:
A friend was in church the day Bishop Oyedepo was accused of making that statement. GEJ paid a surprise visit to the church and both men were very careful and thus refrained from making any political statement. Oyedepo just asked the church to stretch forth their hands towards the president and pray for him. He reminded the church that president is still a man who has his own personal problems even though he's a president and still needs prayers.
GEJ himself thanked the church and apologised for not coming to the church since but have worshipped in their Abuja church.
It is then saddening that someone would create such lies against the bishop and people(and mostly christians) would go to town with the falsehood.
Am not a fan of both men,but I think we should not be agents of ridiculing our pastors, you will never see a muslim be a party to such.
No one is ridiculing anyone here. Aren't these words that came out of their mouths? And I wonder your motive as well by singling out only Oyedepohuh
PoliticsNigerian Pastors & Election Prophecies: Ones That Came True & Ones That Did Not by lolaxavier(op): 7:20am On Apr 03, 2015
Nigeria is blessed with great men of God who are true to their calling and exhibit heavenly wisdom. However in every twelve there must be a Judas. A lot of lies has been used to defame the most high God. This is what happens when mortal men claim to hear God when in reality, They hallucinate and lie indiscriminately in the name of God.

Below is a list of prophetic statements by men of God who claimed that God spoke to them concerning the presidential elections in Nigeria.

The list is in not particular order

Pastor Enoch Adeboye

As the General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye is perhaps, the most influential clergyman in Nigeria. I can confirm that he is a true and wise man of God. His 2015 New Year Day statement on the election was very guarded.

***“Unfortunately, because it is election year, I can’t tell you all that God told me about Nigeria. But I will tell you this: by the end of the year, many will say ‘all is well that ends well.’”

Apostle Johnson Suleman

He is the founder of Auchi, Delta State-based Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide. Apostle John Suleiman is one of the most respected Prophets in Nigeria and he had so much to say about the election in his yearly prophecies released at the beginning of the year.

*I see president Goodluck Jonathan coming back but troubles.

*El Rufai should go and sit down. For abusing Jesus, he will not win Kaduna election.

*Aminu Tambuwal, I saw him leading Sokoto State.

*2015 presidential election will be rigged, marred in violence and end up in court case.

*Thank you Jesus! Finally a Christian is now the governor of Lagos state.

*Rochas Okorocha; I saw him moving to PDP.

*Contrary to most prophecies, Nigeria will not break up.

*I saw governor Amosun return.

*APC Rivers State needs to do grass root campaign because I saw the election been rigged for PDP. Prayers are needed because of so much bloodshed.

*I saw a man win Governorship but not allowed to govern.

*I saw attention in Delta state moved to Agbor.

*I saw people who resigned as ministers to contest election return back as Federal ministers.

*Let’s pray against military intervention and interim government.

*President election inconclusive, yet Jonathan declared winner. APC Pray!

*I don’t see Buhari with credentials to vie for president.

*With the level of bloodshed I saw, it was better Goodluck goes now to his village quietly.

*2015 election is another June 12. The man who truly won will not govern or rule.

Prophet T.B Joshua

His Ikotun-Egbe Lagos is Mecca for Christian pilgrims from across West Africa and beyond. Prophet T.B Joshua is perhaps the most popular Prophet in Nigeria and he revealed his mind in a recent interview.

***“Elections will not happen in some states because of the frequent attacks. This could affect between three to four states. The states would be a no-go area due to violence and elections would not take place in those states unless we move closer to God. We must intensify our prayers. This is what God has showed me and you can imagine what would happen if elections don’t hold in those states. It would have great implication for our democracy.”

Prophet Joshua Iginla

The General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla, is one of the most popular men of God in Abuja. He describes the election as a ‘battle between the lion and the tiger.”

***“No matter how powerful or well-organized 2015 election is, it will be faulted. I am not a politician nor belong to any political party, I am just speaking God’s mind. The person sitting on the seat might not be perfect, but he will retain the seat. It’s not guess-work. Howbeit, it will be a battle between the lion and the tiger…Shortly after the election, especially on the night of the election, there will be great vandalisation. I see cars being burnt, lives killed.”

Primate Peter Ayodele

Primate Ayodele is known for his widely-controversial prophecies. The popular founder of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church went as far as recommending a 14 days prayer for President Goodluck Jonathan to have a ‘peaceful elections.’

***“This year’s election will throw up a lot of issues. President Goodluck Jonathan will do everything to win a second term, however, he needs 14 days prayer to have a peaceful reign to enable him complete a second term. Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega will be confused during the polls. There will be several gimmicks to cajole the INEC to rig the election. E-voting will not work. There will be ballot box snatching and stuffing during the election.”

Bishop David Oyedepo

Speaking in a sermon, Bishop David Oyedepo was alleged to have said that the gate of hell will be opened on those who vote the incumbent president (President Jonathan) out in the forthcoming 2015 presidential elections.

*** “We will open the gate of hell on those who oppose you (President Jonathan). There shall be a rise of many giants – giants in all sectors of human endeavor; Men like nations will rise in the year 2015; Men that will command attention of many nations shall arise in 2015 and God has brought us into the realm of heaven on earth, where men will live like angels.” ”

Dr D.K Olukoya

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, General Overseer Dr D.K Olukoya, it’s going to be a mysterious year.

***“I will speak in parables. This year is going to be a mysterious, cautious and dribbling year, so, you will have to find the solutions instead of diagnosing the problems carried by the year.”

Pastor Tunde Bakare

So far, only Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly seems to have given hope about the election year.

***“Whether you are from the East or from the West or from the North or the South, you will experience joy in 2015. Other nations will say ‘how did they do it.’ It will be indescribable joy. The nations of the earth will testify. I bring good tidings of joy to every part of the nation…”

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka

A Catholic priest and founder of the Adoration Ministry in Enugu, Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka during his New Year prophecy declared that President Jonathan will lose the election. He claimed that the

***“President has become a bad luck., The multitude of our youths, the quality young men, quality young women, brilliants youths but nobody has plans for any of you. Our so-called leaders should come and apologize. In 2015, it shall not continue like that. By the grace of God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we are announcing spiritually, change! 2015 should not be a year of any hooligan maneuvering to hijack power. This is our New Year message. Listen, when you go home, tell anybody you see that from the oracle of the Holy Spirit, we are announcing change
The Goodluck met Yar’Adua and Yar’Adua died. Before you know it, the Goodluck met our oil and the oil had a bad luck and poured away, before we knew it, the Goodluck met our naira, our naira had a bad luck. Where are we going? What is the fate of this country? Shall we continue like this, we need change“

Primate Theophilus Olabayo

Primate Theophilus Olabayo, is the pastor and founder of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh, Lagos and he prophesied saying

***“God told me that they are going to rig the election and this will cause an upheaval and the results of the election will not be declared and if the result is declared, the winners of the election will not govern. But my advice to our politicians is that they should let the President Jonathan go peacefully and retired to his village.”

Prophet Anthony Nwoko

As if the mockery of priesthood wasnt yet enough, Prophet Anthony Nwoko, A popular Enugu based prophet who had also in 1998 prophesied that late Gen. Sani Abacha, would leave government of Nigeria in a mysterious way, briefed journalists in Enugu on the state of the nation, stating that neither Jonathan nor Buhari will win.

***“Neither Jonathan nor Buhari will be president after the election. I told Nigerians that they should not expect much or any miracle from Jonathan. Now, in this coming election, Jonathan will only serve as John the Baptist and Buhari has not got any heavenly crown to rule and he will not rule this country because he hasn’t got that crown.

“Don’t take my prophesies for granted because I had also told Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar(rtd) not to make Olusegun Obasanjo president and I had also warned Obasanjo not to make late Umaru Yar’Adua president and my advice was not heeded and you saw what happened, I can see the glory of Nigeria in the Southeast, An igbo president and I don’t agree with Wole Soyinka that Jonathan is Nebucadnezar, Jonathan is a forerunner to the glory of God.”

Prophet Williams Onuoha

The General Overseer of Galilee Christian Centre, Lagos predicted thus:

***“The current governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, would become Nigeria’s president.” He will rule unless the governor failed to adhere to God’s direction.

Bishop Tom Samson

The founder of the Christ Royal Family Church, Lagos Bishop Tom Samson warned

***Nigerians must brace up for some “hardship and darkness in this year election.”

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre, KICC, said,

***When the president’s name is announced as winner of the election, 20 percent of a certain part of the country will not agree. Eventually, after negotiation they will. We will agree that we are one.”

Prophet Michael Olubode

Not done, Prophet Michael Olubode, aka Micadeolu of the Celestial Church of Christ, Lagos said,

***I want to let the people of Nigeria know that the Lord will return His Excellency, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to his presidential seat. Despite much hatred for him, it pleases the Lord God of Celestial to increase his tenure at the Presidential Villa”.

Venerable Ndubuisi Obi

Venerable Ndubuisi Obi an Anglican priest based at Onitsha in Anambra state said:

***Jonathan had never lost any election in his life. Buhari had never won any election in his life. Jonathan’s rise to the Presidency was not his making. It was simply an act of God. Buhari forced himself into power via the military coup. He has failed in four previous attempts. The last time he failed, he wept. This time will not be different. He is accustomed to failing and failure is his second name. Come Saturday, bring out your PVC and make him cry again. We are moving forward in this country. We can’t afford to put our vehicle on the reverse gear.

Dear readers, I am not here to judge but to provide a yard stick with which we can measure the veracity and authenticity of certain prophetic utterances from the men standing behind the pulpit.

Who amongst these holy men do you think is a true man of God who hears from the almighty?
