seunlayi:What is this one saying? Rather this is a statement of weakness, stylishly succumbing to defeat. This is someone who has come forward to say there is no way he can ever lose the election. Now he has seen the writings all over the wall. Guy you get no choice, your road to Otuoke is wide. No worry, we go help you pack... Vote wisely...Buhari 2015

President Goodluck Jonathan has said that he will return to his Otuoke home in Bayelsa State, if by default, he loses the March 28 presidential election. Jonathan, who said Nigeria is not his father’s estate, was however optimistic that he “will not lose the election.” “If by default somebody wins the election, of course, I will go back to my village. The country is not my father’s estate,” he told the Quatar-based international television station, AlJazeera, on Monday night. The President denied that he was scared of the All Progressives Congress and its Presidential candidate, Maj.Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, adding that he would win because he had performed well. When asked what he made of the insinuations in some quarters that the sudden step-up of military operations in the fight against Boko Haram was because he was scared he might lose the election on the grounds of insecurity, he replied , “It is out of ignorance. “In a political environment, if one party, particularly the ruling party, is going to the left, the opposition would have to go to the right. They must find something. They must have something to tell the people.” The President, however, explained that Boko Haram insurgents were able to wreak havoc on parts of the country for long because the military lacked certain weapons to confront them. The President noted that with the procurement of modern weapons, the security agencies would rout the terror group soon. He also denied that he mishandled the threat posed by the sect to the country and that the activities of the group did not start with his administration. Jonathan, who reassured Nigerians that the rescheduled elections would not be postponed, said the security agencies had not promised to rout out Boko Haram completely before the elections. The President however explained that the military would degrade the insurgents to the level that they would no longer have the strength to disrupt the polls. He said,“That is the key thing. In terms of taking over our territories by the sect,we will retake them and very soon, there will be no part of Nigeria where the insurgents will erect a flag and say this is a Boko Haram territory. “That we will do but what I am saying is that even if you do that, that does not mean you are isolated from terror attack, but gradually with improvement in terms of technology and monitoring we will able to bring it down. “When we take over all the territories they are holding, they are becoming weaker, now we will improve our monitoring using superior technologies to monitor their activities. We will begin to pick them and then of course, frustrate their activities. So over the period, it will go. We cannot live with terror. No, we can’t. We will stop it.” Excerpt (Read full story here) - http://blog.avacubes.com/ill-return-to-my-village-if-i-lose-jonathan/

This is so hilarious. This is what happens when senility sets in... One would at first think GEJ and GMB accusing each other on various issues is the zenith of political drama but after reading this, trust me, you will be surprised to see the real pinnacle of political disgrace. Africa’s oldest ruler, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, claims that his former Vice President and other top officials tried to kill him with the help of Nigerian witchdoctors. Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe fell from a podium after speaking to supporters upon his return from Ethiopia on February 4, 2015 According to local media reports, such allegations were made by Mugabe at the weekend as he celebrated his 91st birthday. The leader who is in power since Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980 claims he was ordained by God to rule forever. Besides, he accused his Vice-President Joice Mujuru who was sacked alongside eight other ministers of allegedly plotting to assassinate him and involvement in corrupt In President Mugabe own words,“We managed to know what (Ms) Mujuru was doing at her house, even consulting witchdoctors. Recently she invited two Nigerian witchdoctors. We heard that they were specialists in the field of witchcraft. They were specialists, yes, but specialists in robbing people, foolish people. Where do these Nigerians get the powers to entrap the soul of a human being into a chicken or sheep and then kill him? God is for us all. I also go to church, I do not believe in superstition. We were taught God’s teachings.” The president claims that the witchdoctors ordered Ms Mujuru to buy chickens that were named after herself, the President, his wife and Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Then the birds were slaughtered and Ms Mujuru was promised that deaths of her political opponents inevitable. Former Zimbabwe Vice-President Joice Mujuru has described claims by President Robert Mugabe as ‘presidential fancy and lies. “I am a committed Christian and was the leader of apostolic churches as patron and I have been committed to Christian life and values all of my life. It is disturbing that the allegations that I tried to or was part of a conspiracy to assassinate the president have now been reduced to allegations of witchcraft, whose versions change on a daily basis. I am sure even the ordinary Zimbabwean has become tired of this story in its various guises. It’s a charade which has lost steam.” It would be recalled that the uncomplimentary remarks made last year by President Robert Mugabe that Nigeria stinks of corruption has set off a diplomatic row between the two African countries. The federal government formally protested the remark by summoning the Zimbabwean Head of Chancery, Mr. Stanley Kunjeku, who was told in blunt terms that Nigeria would not tolerate such unwarranted attack on its image and people. http://www.naij.com/395615-nigerian-witchdoctors-tried-to-kill-mugabe-with-chickens.html

A top politician and a Personal Assistant to Enugu State governor is in trouble for impregnating an SSS1 student. An Enugu State based top politician who is said to be a Personal Assistant to the state Governor, Sullivan Chime, narrowly escaped death when some angry teachers in a secondary school stripped him naked and mobbed him for allegedly impregnating a school girl. The middle-aged politician identity was uncovered in his car that was impounded by the teachers and students of the Metropolitan Girls Secondary School, Ogui New Layout, Enugu, via his identification cards, Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and other documents found in the car. The culprit who was described by those who know him as a very randy man with a penchant for going for teenage girls, had reportedly impregnated the SSS1 girl of the school and urged her to go for an abortion but she refused. The cat was let out of the bag when the victim suddenly slumped on the ground during morning assembly on that fateful day, bleeding profusely. She later named the man responsible for the pregnancy. He was therefore lured to the school where he was mobbed. The state Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche Okolo, confirmed the incident and told newsmen: "A man was apprehended. The man defiled a girl. The girl got pregnant. The child was bleeding and rushed to hospital. The school made a report to NAPTIP. The man came to the school to take the girl and he was arrested. The good thing is that he has been apprehended. He should go and face the law." http://pulse.ng/gist/randy-he-goat-enugu-top-politician-mobbed-for-impregnating-secondary-school-girl-id3532582.html |

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has replied recent jibes by Director of Media and Publicity, Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council (PDPPCO) Femi Fani-Kayode against the Party and its National leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to a statement by the Tinubu Media Office, obtained by The Nation, the APC says the PDP are in continual dscent due to having people like Fani-Kayode on the Presidential campaign team, who think he is smarter than he is. The statement also says that Tinubu has no intention of seeking the Presidential seat through dubious mean. The Statement reads thus; The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign continues its descent. This is to be expected. Because the truth stings them harshly. They have become a factory of lies. A few days ago, the agent of character assassination who doubles as the busy hatchet man of the PDP accused Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of plotting to be vice president then President through subterfuge. Clearly, he has exposed the confusion and contradiction within his party and has veered off from the real debate. But he cannot avoid the storm of change already unleashed by the APC. However, the only subterfuge involved in this entire episode, is that eating at Femi Fani-Kayode’s mind. His mind is an agent of mayhem and a foreigner to facts. The last time we checked, the APC ticket was a Buhari/Osinbajo one. That is what it is and that is what shall stand. Fani-Kayode is not as smart as he thinks. If you read between the lines of his hysteria, you will see another extreme sentiment: that of surging desperation. His statement indicates that even he now realises that his paymaster has lost to Buhari/Osinbajo. The game is over. The whistle has blown. What the fantasy man seeks to do is change the game. He seeks to run against Tinubu in hopes that the outcome will be better. Fani-Kayode now grasps at straw in the night wind. Fani-Kayode is on a futile journey to shield the populace from seeing the failures of his paymasters. His statement taken in context indicates that his paymasters will lose the election. They are now worried about what will happen thereafter. The majority of Nigerians have concluded that they have done enough damage to our politics, economy and security; and cannot be tolerated any longer. Rather, they should be voted out by the people. Their journey of lies and deception is at its terminal point. It lied to Nigerians and the international community that elections had to be shifted first because of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) issue and later, it became a security ambush to change the date, thus aborting Nigeria’s date with destiny at the polls. That FFK (Femi Fani-Kayode) is the best a ruling party can do as a spokesman speaks volumes about the PDP. They are bereft of talents and characters. They are filled with lies and chicanery. FFK is simply the worst and most outspoken of a bad lot. However, we welcome his interventions. They are of such low quality and base character. His utterances frighten people but not in the way FFK intended. Instead of scaring the people away from the APC, his work scares people that someone so unfit is so close to the seat of power, someone so unhinged is given free rein to spit bile and call that public discourse. One must wonder who is unbalanced, the misfit or he who hires him. Keep at it FFK. Continue! Most Nigerians are fed up with this government and desire change. They await eagerly that opportunity at the polls. They cannot tolerate four more years of a Fani-Kayode of his paymasters and his utterances. That is your agony Fani-Kayode and of course that of the PDP and its gang of destroyers. You will not be able to deceive majority of Nigerians who are prepared to use their vote for a positive change. And if only to shield the populace from your peculiar brand of abuse of power, both you and your boss must go. The APC is committed to bringing reforms to our institutions, recovery to our economy and relief to millions of our citizens who are suffering. This latest episode showed that Fani-Kayode’s hallucinations are now uncontrollable. Again, unable to make headway against Buhari and Osinbajo, he now wants to run against Tinubu. This plot will not work. Tinubu is not scheming to become president through the back door. He, just like any qualified Nigerian has the right to walk in through the front door if he so desires. But he is not on the ticket. For the job he is hired to do, it is expected that a Fani-Kayode will be blinded to the positive nature of the Buhari/Osinbajo ticket. If he has failed to read and do some research on the character of an Osinbajo, let me help him. Yemi Osinbajo is fiercely independent. A brilliant mind of great character and and a consummate reformer and legal crusader. You will not dare speak of him in this manner. The APC ticket is of people of great resolve. But because among your own crowd, you have people who will willingly destroy, not only our institutions and country, you think so of others. APC is a party with people of impeccable character, courageous and patriotic leaders, who are out to rescue our nation. And you – Fani-Kayode – are on record to have said so in several interviews. http://www.naij.com/394720-tinubu-says-ffk-is-not-as-smart-as-he-thinks.html?utm_source=traqli&utm_medium=traqli&utm_campaign=traqli&traqli-referral=esan.babalola%40yahoo.com&source=traqli

A whole big chief in his town, who are you to complain? I know this man, he will just walk you and your mother out of his house, either you are the first or last born. You just have to deal with it in your mind. The fact that he walks unclad in his own house doesn't make him mad...Point to note, It is his house. |

Ask C. Ronaldo what GEJ stands for and you will be shocked to know that he thinks it is another type of football award. Person wey be say na only Mikel Obi be d only tin im sabi about Nigeria....mttcchhheeewwww |
Bigdreams:Exactly my line of thought but come to think of it, some parents don't actually have a choice but to display affection for one child more than the other, especially in cases where some children bring constant sorrow to the family and there is one that stands out as 'hope' among them. |
What do you think about parent who have favourite(s) among their children? For me, I believe my parent like us all equally, evidenced by the fact that there is no preferential treatment meted out to any of us, at least over the time I am aware of. However, in the real sense, there are parent who clearly pick one or two of their children as favourites due to various reasons. In my opinion, I feel there is always a strong tendency for you to have a favourite but you should not let other children have a sense of feeling about this. What do you have to say about this as it applies to you? Do you think it is right? For the parent here, do you have a favourite? Relative to your parent, do you think there is a favourite in the family. |
sirrinky:Of course the election is the focus of attention at the moment, what happens after March 28 seems to be the height of people's expectations. It is simply so hard to predict but candidly, it looks scary from distance... |
OREMUSSANCTUS:Uncle, on what grounds? Are they currently being indicted for CORRUPTION and/or STEALING ? After all, there's difference between both according to our oga at the top? If any account has to be frozen, then GEJ has to first freeze his own account, then followed by Dezaini, Bode George, Faruk Lawan, Fayose and the rest of his gangs... |
The allegation was made via a statement released on Saturday, February 28, by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential campaign, Garba Shehu. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan is planning to freeze the accounts of two of its leaders, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and party leader, Bola Tinubu. The allegation was made via a statement released on Saturday, February 28, by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential campaign, Garba Shehu. Shehu stated that Jonathan was planning to freeze the accounts in order to ground the campaign of APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. “The hint we gather from sources is that the government, through its agents, is plotting to ground aircraft and freeze bank accounts of APC stakeholders. But history has shown that the forces of evil can never succeed against the zeal of men and women of virtue and good deeds,” the statement reads. “There is also a plot to block or freeze the bank accounts of APC chieftains like Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Rotimi Amaechi (Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Organisation), and other prominent leaders believed to be funding the General’s campaign; and availing him their aircrafts for electioneering purposes,” it added. Shehu added that Jonathan was trying to cripple the Buhari campaign due to the global attention the latter had received during his recent appearance at Chatham House, London. http://pulse.ng/politics/goodluck-jonathan-president-planning-to-freeze-tinubu-amaechi-s-accounts-apc-alleges-id3528802.html
