Not immediately. For now, just do what sounds good to you. But it pays to understand the underlying music theory. So music theory and learning to play an instrument, preferably the piano, should be on your to-do list. But you don't have to rush it. Experiment and grow into it.
Sounds like a piece of cake.

Yes, you can learn on your own. But it depends on your intellect and desire. Try to watch FL studio beginner tutorials on youtube.
Nice
No prior knowledge of music or musical instruments required ?

If you're smart and willing enough, you can get started with FL studio. I'm talking about music production FYI.
Thanks
I'm already downloading it.
It's 353 MB though, might take some time.
You mean , I can do all this on my own ?

If you're really serious about it, please can you give me a referal for your old job? I dey find work.
My old job ?
I have not resigned and I did not state I was planning to resign soon
Are you referring to my current position specifically or any position in a bank ?
You do not even know my current position so I assume you mean any reasonable position in the bank.

This is something I have always had a passion for: entertainment.

The thing is, I do not sing neither am I a songwriter. Last time I tried , I got stuck on the first line for about two weeks. I also do not know how to play any musical instruments beyond strumming a few chords on the guitar. Though I plan to purchase a box guitar so I can practice.

But I love it when I visit a club and a DJ is doing his job well and the music is thrilling and banging and you know... the crowd is going wild and all

I have seen some really cool DJs doing their stuff. But afterwards , when I meet up them , they aren't always too enthusiastic about taking on an apprentice. This has always been the case each time.

Does anybody in the house know a fast path to become a DJ ?

I think being a DJ will bring a step closer to my dream of being a music producer some day.

I have set my sights on this and I will achieve this someday. Its just a matter of time

omiobo: True federalism is the solution, if Lagos will survive or not, should not be your concern,it should be yorubas. I'm of the opinion that each state should live on what they have. Lagos has been the way it is even when there was no oil.
I perfectly agree. However the less people there are in Lagos, the less tax accrues to the state purse
PoliticsRe: Orji Kalu Threatens To Sue Fashola Over Forced Relocation Of Igbos by longjon: 2:37pm On Jul 30, 2013
Pukkah: Of course yes. Don't forget VAT and revenues from the ports too.

Have you forgotten what happened when Tinubu tried to create additional LGs? OBJ withheld the state's allocations.
Ok. But if every state were to control resources , then Lagos would have to rely on mostly its only 'natural resource' : people
It's the people who pay the tax that contributes 85% of its IGR.

Please which other resources are you referring to ?
PoliticsRe: Orji Kalu Threatens To Sue Fashola Over Forced Relocation Of Igbos by longjon: 1:04pm On Jul 30, 2013
Pukkah: This matter is simple. Embrace true fiscal federalism. Support true political federalism.

How much of VAT is generated in Lagos state? What percentage of VAT revenue comes back to Lagos state?

According to the official sharing of revenue, Lagos only gets slightly higher than Kano. In terms of economic power, is people not more important than land mass?

Let's say in a typical month, Lagos gets an allocation of N48.5 billion followed by Kano with N31.9 billion. In that same month, Akwa Ibom gets N104 billion, followed by Rivers N99.1 billion, Delta N90.4 billion, and Bayelsa N49 billion.

I agree that having a high population will increase consumption, but the benefits of that does not come when others (whose burdensome people troop to Lagos) share in the benefits. There are also redundant people that are taking more from Lagos than they are giving. Honestly, why can't their home states support them? Why should the burden be on Lagos?

You may say that what of oil revenue? Let all states hold on to their resources and other sources of revenue and give back only a token to the central government.

The states make up the federation. The Federal Government exists because states exist and not the other way round. Let states take care of their people. Let the Federal Government only bother itself about common issues like currency, borders, external security, foreign policies and trade, immigration, etc.

The shameful situation we have today is rewarding the lazy people and obscuring the efforts of hardworking people. With this, the region(s) that many people generally think would suffer may come out stronger.

Why should states go cap in hand to Abuja every month? Eh?

Why should Lagos, or any other state in the Federation, support the citizens of other states? Eh?

If Fasola imposes taxes, they complain. Yet they know that Lagos is disadvantaged when it comes to federal allocation. If he ejects those that can't even pay taxes, they scream. What do they expect him to do? huh
Did you say all states should hold onto their resources ? Can Lagos survive on its IGR alone ?

Publicity stunt on the part of DJ Khaled/YMCMB
CelebritiesDJ Khaled Proposes To Nicki Minaj With 10 Karat Ring On MTV -- Video by longjon(op): 11:26am On Jul 28, 2013
Do I smell a publicity stunt or is this for real?

DJ Khaled made a shocking revelation on July 25 when he proposed to his YMCMB labelmate, rapper Nicki Minaj, with a gorgeous 10-karat diamond sparkler valued at about $500,000 -- all in front of MTV News cameras.
"Nicki Minaj, I'm at MTV, I'm going to be honest with you; I love you," Khaled says to the camera. "I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine."
The hitmaker looks dead-serious and seems to be pouring out his heart during the nearly two-minute monologue, but the editing of the video, with its sappy background music and romantic camera blur, makes it look like a joke.
"The only reason why I'm not telling you this face-to-face is I understand that you're busy... We got the same symptoms, we're both suffering from success," he says.
According to MTV.com, the fact that "Khaled came to our studio with a 10 karat radiant cut diamond ring from Rafaello & Co. in Manhattan's famed diamond district" is a testament to his seriousness. I'm unconvinced. (Conveniently, DJ Khaled's seventh album, called "Suffering From Success, drops September 24.)
Minaj's only response as of yet is a retweet of a fan site's Twitter status that shares a link to the video. Does this mean she enjoyed the joke, or is she actually considering marriage?

I will educate you.

During the Military Regime, we had only the Supreme Ruling Council to delegate on issues and immediately swing into action.. It was by far less expensive to this democracy where our Senators are the highest paid in the world and would use their high pay to pass only laws supporting Child-Bride..

When you are the highest paid in the world, it should reflect on the quality of laws you pass to govern the people..

Democracy is very Expensive.. Atleast only Abacha did the looting and a few others but in this democracy, everybody loots, Free for all.
No law, no order, no decorum, no justice, no jobs, no PHCN... NEPA was far better during Military Regime under Babangida and Abacha, name it.. Let's do a holistic Evaluation as to what was and what is now....

Military Regime was far better..
Please shut up
