Papapa1234: No portal is faster than the other..we have seen how IRCC changes pattern..pretty sure if new portal starts getting approval..you most definitely will write same thing..just use any portal you want..PPR go land My write up is not about which portal is fast or slow. But thank you for your contribution. |

Good evening people.. I greet ooh.
Please if you received PPR using new portal, kindly indicate or mention it, please. This will encourage some of us to keep the hope alive. Though people keep saying whether you applied through new portal or GCKey, it doesn’t matter, I agree. However, Looking at the recent PPRs we’ve received here, especially for August applicants, everything seems to be from GCKey.
Indicating new portal or old portal (GCkey) would help us count down too or atleast to relate to the flow of approval from both portals. Although I can’t tell you what to do. I am only making an humbly plea. Thanks. |

jaydave: For those asking about MFB.. I think I have read part of this thread someone submitted mfb statement. Provided the mfb is legit and licensed to operate there shouldn’t be a problem. Infact on visa.mybankstatement website there is VFB microfinance on d website as part of participating bank that uses d mbs portal to share statement with embassies . If the mfb statement u are submitting is legit and d bank is licensed there shdnt be a problem . If it’s not an mbs portal kind of statement den What d embassy wud do is to contact the bank and confirm d statement .
But truth be told , a lot of ppl r using mfb statement as ruins now . I have read a thread on twitter that talks bout an agent wey dey give POF at very cheap rate and na mfb staff. It’s cheaper than d usual 3.5% most ppl are charging because d guy’s own isn’t legit money , he wud only provide fake statement and d manager in their mfb wud confirm it as real anytime embassy contacts dem. With this kind of tin going round now, d embassy cud hv seen alot of cases whereby fake statements hv bin submitted and they were mostly mfb statement. So for any1 submitting or submitted mfb statement shd ensure it’s legit and d bank will be ready to confirm to embassy d legitimacy of d statement. Peace!!! Let me add to this. Weather Legit or not. I’d advise you move your money to a commercial bank. Earlier this year I submitted my application using a MFB statement with monies I saved over time. Lo and behold, I was refused. Attached is the response from IRCC. All the best.

loohlaah: Good evening everyone,
First off I want to say thank you for important information being passed here. It has really been helpful.
Please I have a question. For Application submitted via the new ircc platform, are we required to fill and submit some IMM forms? if so, can someone be kind to list them form me.
Thank you in anticipation. Good day house, Please can anyone be kind to help me answer this question. Are these all the IMM FORMS (1294,5645,5483,5257) to be submitted for a self funding and single person? |

Obibaby: Please regarding Form A, does CBN or the processing bank deduct service charges or whatever from the applicant's account before deducting the main school fees amount? Because my mum got some small small debit alerts this evening and it was written "CBN" along side my Form A number.
My Form A was approved by my processing bank 2 days ago and today we started seeing the deductions. Please has anybody experienced this with Form A? Right now, FORM A should cost you about N1,684,000 in total for $4000 nothing more nothing less. Breakdown $1 is @419 = N1,676,000 CBN charges = N5000 Bank charges = N3000 (well, most banks) |

llionaire: Good morning guys, Got a medical request today and the next available slot is in 27 days, Canada gave me 30 days to submit my medical result. I wanna be on the safer side and get it done next week. Is this possible, please? it's also showing that "I have an active appointment.." whenever I try selecting Canada on IOM'S website. When I checked, there was none. Please help guys Send them the mail as advised and also call them to follow up, their number on website is (+234 802 226 4059) ensure to try calling them early in the morning from 7:35am - 9am. It’s not always going through but keep trying. This number sent me an update after my test too (+234 708 392 0966) so you can try calling it as well. The second option, The last time I was there I met someone at the Buka gate that was saying express booking. I can’t find the number again. But you can visit the office at Ikeja physically, the guy seats at the entry of the Buka area, or ask the man making the photocopy.

Ok, thank you. HouseRavenclaw: I don't really think there's anything you can do but wait. I've seen people post about this in the past and it was just right before they got an ACTUAL update. It's definitely a glitch on IRCC's part and typically just means your application is being worked on. |

Good morning people,
Something shocking just happened on my page this evening.
As at 25th - 26th/05/2022 I saw a ghost update of medical being passed and status reading, last update MAY 25, 2022. Only for me to login to check this evening and I saw that it has been changed back to we do not need your medical exam. And last update returned to March 04, 2022.
Application was submitted February 04 Biometrics completed 04-03-2022 Nothing else has been done.
Please has this ever happened to someone before? What do you advise I do ASAP |

Azedolf: Applied Feb 7 2022 Biometric Feb 9, completed March 4 2022 Background check completed March 4 also Upfront Medical - Feb 8, Completed Feb 15 Eligibility started March 28 Refused May 26
Reason stated for refusing the application:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. So sorry about this. Remember it’s not over until you win. Order for your GCMS notes to address issue of concern ASAP. Tackle each points critically. From what I read on this platform, your next application might not take too long to get a response, since medical and biometrics are already done. I wish you God’s speed. |

possessor1: first application April 6 2021: (old portal)Biometrics April 7th.. Biometrics updated ..July 8th: May 19: Upfront Medical Medicals done May 19 .... June 2 Upfront medical updated --- no NSE request at allEligibility started July 16th Request Letter Back charge July 31st Paid August 2nd PFL Procedural fairness August 25thResponded to procedural fairness August 29th Visa denied November 12th
The reason for the PFL/charge back was that my agent used someone's card to pay my visa fees. I was pissed, but I was like...I can't let someone pour sand in my Garri. Initially I thought he was being fraudulent because the person with the card he used to pay wasn't forthcoming with the bank statement. I quickly paid another application fee without an explanation.
IRCC sent me mail showing PFL and a potential 5 years ban saying I should explain why debt to the crown was incurred in the first place. Mogbe! I was here thinking...how do I explain to IRCC that a friend used his friend's card to pay for my VISA application.Guess what that's exactly what I did. I told IRCC exactly that! and that it was a common problem in the NIgerian banking system.
I also shared a CBN article talking about the dollar limit CBN placed on Nigerian banks.I took it to court to notarize it. The guy later sent his statement, I added it to what was sent. After everything I got rejected on November 12, 2021
I put myself together and reapplied December 3rd with the new portal. (This time I paid full tuition and switched progratailored to my current job experience)No single thing in my application changed. I started classes online which was a story for another day. I sent emails and webforms, no response. At one point I thought something was wrong with the portal! I was like, unlike the old portal where I was getting updatesMedical viewed, with date viewed/ updated. Eligibility etc. This one is nothing! like no single update.
December, January, February, March...I was like hmmmmmmm. Then in March. IRCC responded to my webform saying I should resubmit all the documents I applied with! I was like what!!! IRCC lost my file or what? (by this time some people I started the process with and got rejected were already in the UK asking me how far... wont I jump ship to the UK ? that IRCC is using us to catch trips.
I was like sighhh. I encouraged myself in the Lord. I submitted everything again to IRCC through webform. 2 weeks later this time In April 2022. They sent another email saying that I should submit everything again. This time I panicked . I started calling on God like my life depended on it.
It actually did.Because He is the alpha and Omega, my application is in between. He is El roi ...The God who sees. It was at this point I shared what was going on with Maureen. Maureen was like I should just hang in there.. and keep believing. Her encouragement was like cold soothing water in a dry and thirsty land. I also reached out to 2 MPs, they were like its not in their jurisdiction, except it is critical. I emailed one of them saying I have not even gotten an update. He said he will send a mail to IRCC on my behalf. This was third week of april.
IRCC responded to him that criminality has been passed. I was like what does that even mean... Im like okay... Then I sent another strong, subtle, emotional but stern mail that I think my situation is very critical because my next semester is not online and I really need a response. He sent another mail to IRCC stating that if I don't hear from them in 4 weeks, I should send him a mail.
May 23rd I sent him a mail.Booom!!! PPR May 24th! 2nd Application timeline Dec 3 applied* (no signle update...my portal hasnt changed!) May 24th PPR
Im open to questions Wow… this is a peculiar case … wow.. God be praised. Congratulations. |

dbeautyful: Please how long does the process take if one's appointment is 8am? I was at IOM, IKEJA, LAGOS today for my upfront. my appointment was for 9am, I got there 9:04am and started off immediately 9:04am - 2pm, I was done and out of the place. Please bear in mind that the whole processing depends on availability of people already in line but all in all Canada medicals is not as bad as UK and some other countries. You might even finish in 2-3hours if you get there early enough, but please eat before going or get something to snack on, cause as I no listen, hunger wire me well well. I hope this helps. |
