From my observations here in nairaland, i hereby nominate the following persons, with the reasons i choose them :1 DEDE se this guy because he has been one of the Igbo warriors who has matched force with force with ethnic and religious bigots of other envious tribes who come to cyber space to denigrate Ndi Igbo that is why we have seen about 3 or 4 known yoriba ethnic and religious bigots in earlier pages of this thread panicking and imploring Ndi Igbo not to nominate him. Just say anything against Ndi Igbo and he would appear from no where with his e-machine gun to attack you. he also not a supremacist. 2 One Naira, this is a proud Igbo guy from delta state which has done his best to dispel the misinfomation and enlighten some ignorant southeast Igbos who think they are more Igbo than the Igbos in delta state, he has through his various posts strenghten the bond between Igbos by resisting the attempt by some supremacist Igbos and ethnic begots who attempted to derail some threads depicting Igbos from different states in good light and telling the wonderful and fast growth and development happening in different part of Igboland. He has on several occassions resisted and attacked bigots who propagate the falsehood that the Igbos in delta are not Igbos coupled with the fact that he has displayed great leadership qualities and understands the Igbo tradition well. He is also not a supremacist and refused to be discouraged by the misinformed few who say sacastic things against Igbos in delta state who are Full Blooded Igbos with majority migrating from Awka, Nri, Njeze, Anam, oba and other Igbo towns.

I have defended the Anambra people through the various thread i have created, the last thread i created clearly dispel and nullify the claim by Kogi state concerning the oil well located in the Anambra basin with historical and legal facts. I single handedly chased away igala e-warriors and other ethnic begots with my facts and vindicated the position of the Omabala people, this made the controversial Chino to apologise and have a change of heart and we are in good terms till today. I have also contributed to promoting all part of Igboland check my previous posts. So think before you write. In the thread on the similarities btw Igbo and Ibibio you insulted the Ngwas of Abia by challenging their Igboness. Mind you am not an Ngwa man, and others i cant remember. As a Full Blooded Igbo guy i will confront you if u write something sacastic against your village, local govt or state becos i believe in the ONYE AHANNA NWANNE YA Principle that doesnt mean i hate you becos i can cooperate with you to resist attempt by an outsider to portray Ndi Igbo in bad light be it Anambra, Imo, Anioma or not. Being among those who participated in the first Eze NdiIgbo Nairaland election last year i feel delighted that the successful tenure of HRH Eze Onlytruth is coming to an end and Umu Igbo has decided that he contest the election again which is ok by me. I was initially skeptical about his election when he joined charlertans like Chino, NriPriest and some confussed low self esteem Anambara chaps to desparade enugu state and keep mute when these hawks moved from thread to thread concerning various Igbo states and our Igbo brothers in Delta state(ANIOMA) to derail it with their embarassing and provocative "i better pass you" attitudes. However, I must state that Eze Onlytruth rose to the occassion and disassociated himself from this hawks and consistently called on other Igbos to avoid fallen into the confussion created by this few. This has made numerous anambra state indigens to reject and disassociate theirselves from the poly of this few to cause disaffection and discord thus susustaing the "IGWE BU IKE" principle and encouraging the "ONYE AHANNA NWANNE YA" solidarity and creating the mentality of "ADIGHI ERE NWANNE N'AYA". Thus making Ndi Igbo to speak and act as one on matters affecting us. To the amazement of various ethnic bigots, envious people and fanatics of various kinds. The thread he created stating the position of Ndi Igbo Nairaland concerning the the recent book written by Prof Chinua Achebe and various posts safeguarding and stating the Igbo intrest have send a strong signal that the Eze NdiIgbo Nairaland position is alive and active. Why We Won't Join Issues with Anambra, by Enugu

As controversy over the ownership of the newly-discovered oil well on the border of Anambra, Enugu and Kogi states rages, sources within the Enugu State government have hinted that the state had been refraining from joining issues with Anambra over the matter for the sake of Igbo unity.

This is as three angry Enugu communities involved in the oil wells dispute – Ojjor, Iggah and Asaba – have vowed to protect the oil in their place with the last drop of their blood, even as the state government is nonchalant over the issue.

The communities, all in the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, in a press statement made available to journalists in Enugu chided the state government for what it called “its obvious indifference and unseriousness in safeguarding the oil wells in their communities”.

The statement signed by Jude Ibeagha, Stan Madubia and Chris Okpe on behalf of the three communities, accused the Enugu State government of watching helplessly while Anambra claimed the oil wells domiciled in their area.

But a government source said Enugu was not indifferent to safeguarding the oil wells in Uzo-Uwani, but was only being diplomatic since Enugu and Anambra are sister states in the South East geo-political zone and that any crisis between the two on the issue would not serve Igbo interest.

“It would not serve the larger interest of Ndigbo to see Enugu and Anambra fighting over an issue that can be settled amicably,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Enugu government has taken on the Anambra State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Peter Afuba, for unguarded utterances on the raging dispute over which state owns the oil wells allocated to the Orient Petroleum and Refinery by the Federal Government.

Afuba had on Friday accused Enugu and Kogi states of being mischievous by laying claim to the oil wells in Anambra basin.

Reacting to the allegation, Chukwudi Achife, the Chief Press Secretary to Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime, described the statement as careless, unguarded and unbecoming of a chief law officer of a state.

“I don’t want to believe that he (Afuba) said that; but if he said that, then he should have a rethink. It is a careless and unguarded statement. Such a statement is unbecoming of somebody occupying the position of Attorney-General of a state.

“If people are saying that oil well exists in their place and other people are saying that it is in their place, the Boundary Commission and Surveyor General should be in a position to say where it is located. If Enugu is saying that oil wells belongs to them, and Kogi and Anambra are claiming the same oil wells, then we go and look at the maps,” Achife said.

He maintained that the statement credited to the Anambra AG was detestable and despicable, adding that the path of dialogue being toed by Enugu in the dispute should not be mistaken as weakness.

Recently, President Goodluck Jonathan declared Anambra an oil-producing state when he inaugurated the first crude oil production from an inland basin by Orient Petroleum at Aguleri Otu.

The Enugu government should be commended for putting group intrest above personal intrest. I would advice the Anambra state government officials to mind the way the talk to their enugu brothers.

@ Chino you call me brother yet am not from Anambra, am from one of the other Igbo states which you have severally made derogratory statements and told abominable lies against, who's successes and progress turns you off. Yet as a true Igbo guy am committed to dispelling the lies being spread by Kogi state against my sister state concerning the oil wells and to put the records straight with proves. From all indications and facts, those oil wells truely belongs to Anambra state. With time oil wells would be explored and commence production. I just hope it doesnt turn you off. Thanks for post.
