liftedkris: Please I need help. My Block account has just been rejected for the second time. First time was because I sent outdated form. Second time is because I didn't make any information on Country of tax residence, Tax ID number or personal identification number. What should I write there since I don't pay tax. Pls I need answers urgently You could either 1) get a TIN (Tax Identification Number) from FIRS(free and easy to get) 2) fill in ur passport Id ( someone I know used it and it worked) 3) fill in N/A (I used this) and added a letter explaining that students don't pay tax in Nigeria. Don't leave that place blank at all... And fill Nigeria as country of tax address( or whatever is there) 1 Like |

You claimed you worked to have big amount of savings in your account meanwhile you work weekends and spare time. How much do you earn from mini jobs and still have unbelievable huge amount of money in your account with the cost of living and bills to pay? How much have you saved for less than six months that you have been in Germany to be able to have huge savings? Or are you referring to the money in the blocked account which was already in your bank before you came? Quote me anywhere you cant work mini jobs and save to have huge amount of money. I am not the kind of person to paint rosy pictures. I say things the way they really are. I don't come to German thread to deceive people about Germany. What pains me is; we in Germany that post this things don't realise that there are people back home in Nigeria who read this thread and make life changing decisions. I know people who resigned decent jobs back home because people paint this wonderful picture of Germany to them. They get here and its a totally different thing from what they read here. I see people bitting their fingers, regretting their decisions. I talk based on numerous people I have come across here in different cities and states in this country. I will always say it without fear or favour nobody should resign their job to come to Germany thinking there is money to pick here. If you truly want to study fine. And we are back to this |

Oye you are right with what you are saying but let me disagree a bit. Weekend and spare time jobs cannot give you a fat bank account balance. Especially not with the very high cost of things in this country and the pay from mini jobs. I spread my courses too but there is a disadvantage to spreading it too wide though. IMHO seven extra semesters is long. My ISO told me that if you spend more than 3 extra semesters and you go for visa renewal the Auslander may ask questions. It may depend on your Auslander behorde's rules though. Going to a good economic state is good but you have to balance it with a city that also offers cheaper living. I know cities like Munich offer more economic opportunities + I have seen Germans themselves relocating there to search for jobs but the problem is the cost of living in Munich is high. Rent alone will finish your 670 without anything to sustain on. A normal room with shared toilet and bathroom will go for 500,600 or even 700 per month. That city's rent is outrageous. With a student mini job it will be tough. This country is so expensive. I bought 4 fingers of banana for 1.99€ The same banana wey no go pass 100naira for Naija. I would advice anyone coming to apply for accomodation with studentenwerk. Many of them are cheaper than paying normal rent in your cities. Trick is once your accommodation is cheap, everything falls into place. With the inflation in Nigeria now that Banana fit don increase o |

LeoCruz: with heart filled with joy and laughter, I wish to announce to my fellow nairaland family, that my visa has been granted. this journey started since 2013, I tried Canada but was denied. my brother convinced me to try Germany, I tried Germany last year winter 2015, was also denied, people like Nellyb and williamso, know my story. but hear I am today. I gave it another try and believed there's nothing God can not do, he proved his an unfailing God. even on the day of my interview Satan raised his head again, Babanila is a witness, but God won the battle at last. I left my money in deusch account since last August having hope it will end in praise and it ended in praise.
thanks to everyone for Ur help and assist people like Eke40seven,Williamso, Nellyb, and I will not forget Babanila who was with me during my times of trials on the interview day. May God bless U all for me. Those I didn't mention I appreciate U all. am so grateful. thank you all. I will always give back to this house positively.
a.m mail dropped 26th February insurance and passport submitted on 29th February package arrived 7th March.
thanks to everyone may God continue to bless us all. those awaiting Ur approval, U will get yours too, in Jesus name. Amen.
#Danke Why were u denied ? |

Williamso: Firstly, Congratulations Promise2, we will be expecting you!
Jetzt Ogaga. Normally, I will not take this post seriously as I expect you to know better, seeing that you are already in Deutschland. I do take offense in the fact that ignorant people will read your post and learn Dutch from Nigeria, only to come here and discover that an entirely different language is being used. It is for this reason I will trash this issue. 1. I never said that you said "English is not a Language." I simply used your analogy to imply that. And as a refresher, this is a quote from your own post "Germans are the people and not the language in English, just as Deutschers are the people in deutsch"... You are intelligent so you should understand my use of implied analogy. 2a. English is the language spoken by the English... originally?? When did it change? English is the nationality AND the language! A person from England(not Britain) is English and speaks English (a person from Britain is English a Brit or a Briton). 2b. You don't think it's relevant nowadays? You should take a summer trip to the UK then! 3. Sweden and Netherlands DO NOT speak Deutsch! They speak Swedish(Svenska) and Dutch(I don't know this in the language) respectively. Come on! Jetzt bist du in Deutschland. Was ist der Untershied zwischen French, Français und Französisch
Finally, I understand the point(s) you were trying to make, but you were absolutely wrong! The language you were probably talking about is Germanic not German -which is the same as Deutsch. The Germanic language, which is not spoken anymore is where many modern day European languages were derived from. English, German, Dutch, Frisian, etc are from this language. So yes, Germanic and Deutsch are completely different, aber Deutsch und German sind absolut gleich! What level of the German language have u learnt to? |

To all you talking about the need for the language... As u see me I don't like stress. I'm planning to go for the summer 2016 semester and by so doing I'll only be able to achieve A2. I just wanna know is A2 manageable as I'm tempted to shift to winter to get to b1 even if my uni-assist fees would be forfeited I just wish I had not taken work more serious than language learning |

Good day all First I want to say it's amazing to see the way you guys are always willing to help.
I have been following this thread from part one, but lost my phone with all the bookmarks with the info I need and as time is so scarce I can't even go back and read 20 pages.
Just have some questions;
1) If I'm gonna apply to say 5 schools, do my uni lecturers have to write specific recommemdation letters to all ? Or he could help with one and just change who it's addressed to ?
2) do I need to certify every single document I'm going to use for applications or just some specific? And how does one go about certifying at the German embassy?
3) do I have to certify every page of my transcript?
4) can I apply with a scanned copy of the recommendation letter ? Cos due to urgency I can't travel back to Edo state to get it
To my Ogas in the house especially our germo study professor Eke40seven ... Need as much help as I can please .
Danke |
