If you have unlocked your bootloader, You can try again, It will work this time.

Don't flash custom ROM with Flashtool, we flash Recovery with Sp Flashtool, then install ROMs from recovery . So you don't need a PC to flash custom ROMs.


•Unzip TWRP you downloaded.
Rename your TWRP img file by Hadenix to 'recovery' on your PC.
•Copy your scatter file (MT6763) to the folder where you have recovery img.
•Move the folder to SP Flash tool folder.
•In your SP Flash tool folder, click flash_tool to open the software.
•Under scatter loading file, look for the folder where your scatter file is, click it, click open.
•You will see lots of green column pop up under download only.
•Tick ONLY recovery box and UNTICK the rest. (A strong warning).
Don't be afraid sha, just tick only recovery box.
•Click download.
•Now connect your phone to your PC.

•Hold Vol down and power button Wait for the recovery to flash 100%. Release your fingers when you hear a disconnected sound from your PC.
•Disconnect the phone from the PC.
•Hold Vol up and power button, till the screen lights up, when the screen goes off release the buttons.
•Quickly Hold Vol down and power button, till the screen lights up, when the screen goes off release the buttons.
• Quickly Again, hold Vol up and power button, till the screen lights up, wait till it boots to your new recovery.
•It will ask you for password, at the bottom look for how to ignore.
•Click install.
•Flaah disable verify decrypt file you downloaded from the telegram channel so that it won't ask for password next time.


All these will not work if you don't unlock your bootloader first.

I already unlocked bootloader via fastboot(When you power on, it says Your device is not secure or something like that). I had no idea that I had to be holding Vol down and power button while twrp image was being downloaded or is this peculiar to MTK devices only? Maybe that was the problem. Because I tried to flash twrp via adb first and it was successful, but it was taking me to stock recovery menu. Then, I tried it with SP and it was successful but I was still being taken to stock recovery menu. Out of frustration, I had the "brilliant" idea to flash the custom ROM directly in SP. I didnt even consider how I would flash the Gapps file or try rooting with Magisk if I was successful in the first place . Thank God the phone survived. I have pinned your post in case I want to try it again later in the year

I woke up this morning and saw my A5pro unusually bright, tried reducing it but it didn't respond, the phone got so hot that I decided to transfer my files to my brother's device cos I knew only a miracle would save the phone. So immidiately I connected to make the transfer, my A5pro went blank and has refused to come on but I can still receive calls.

Went blank, refused to come on? How then did you receive the call? If you really received a call, then your screen might need to be changed(You probably slept on it). Try a hard reset first(Press and hold the power button for a minute and then release)

Really? On the channel, they said only fingerprint works. Well, let me wait till December and I'm ready to buy a new phone before I try am again . MTK phones really get problem. I have flashed a lot of custom roms on LG and Samsung prior to this.

I followed all the instructions but got stuck when vol up + power button wasnt taking me into TWRP menu. I already reflashed the stock ROM but how can i fix the TWRP ish. I installed via ADB and I still installed via SP. Both were successful but I couldnt get into TWRP. I cant access my PMs (the mail I used is no longer in service)

I already fixed it . After my battery was totally drained, I downloaded the official stock ROM and i tried the firmware upgrade option in SP and it booted up . But now, I'm toying with the idea of installing the custom rom again . I already unlocked bootloader and installed TWRP because I wanted to install the ROM via TWRP menu but vol up + power button is taking me to normal stock recovery. Thats when i tried using SP to install the custom rom but I probably made a mistake somewhere.

I dont even know what to say. It wasnt working for me. I decided to flash back the stock rom and now i'm left with a white screen with green tinges around the edges. Connected Sp Flash Tool and it recognizes the phone but its not downloading, probably because the phone is still on. And I cant perforrm any adb or fastboot commands. How do you think I can fix this?

Lol. There might be light and it would be a bother to plug in even with my battery low. I was on a WhatsApp video call this morning and my battery was low. I just boned it until WhatsApp notified me that my battery was 5%. And we had light then. I had no choice but to plug in.
I still insist that they should have given us the power of choice. After all, does flashlight drain my battery faster than 4g network or gaming?

LOL. The video you watched probably had poor quality. I can't even use my A5 Pro with more than 70% brightness outdoors. And the funniest thing is that the screen is exactly the same with the A7 Pro. Same size, resolution and number of nits.

So, torchlight won't come on when the battery is below 15%? This is the first time in over 2 weeks since I got my A5 Pro that it has fallen below 15%, so I was surprised to notice this. Also, I have been getting 'System UI stopped' too frequently especially with mobile data on. What could be the problem?

I use an infinix phone of 32GB internal storage, which lately I've been having problems with the storage always getting filled up

So yesterday after clearing and deleting I got about 750mb free space ,but to my greatest surprise this morning while I switched on my phone, I discovered it suddenly have about 5.3GB of space free

Junk files are most likely responsible. On my Leagoo Kiicaa Power that year, sometimes I used to have the problem. If I delete a file or clear junk or app cache, it would not reflect in the internal storage until I restart the phone or wait a couple of minutes. I assume that is the same thing going on here.
