We booked our flight for 23rd May with Lufthansa Airline. Filled Arrivecan the previous day and checked in same day. I had issues with uploading our proof of vacc on their website (was actually doing it wrong, lol) my husband decided to leave early for the airport so that they could sort that out. Unfortunately for us, their boothe wasn't open until 3pm. I took my laptop, asked questions in the group and realised we were meant to upload the a screenshot of the vacc certificate on the website ( olodo like me), so I did that sharp sharp and even did oversabi and uploaded all other digital documents they needed. 6pm, we went to the airport. None of our bags were searched, thanks to our DSS friend, weighed our bags, some where overweight while some where underweight so the good lady weighing it just summed everything up for us. There was no need repacking or paying for extra weight. Did the final check-in, the guy said I made his job easier by uploading everything online, he gave us a yellow slip where would input our destination address, phone number and amount we're traveling with amongst other details. We headed over to immigrations, still quite fast and stress-free, then NDLEA, no issues, Customs, no issues then we just went to our boarding gate and waited for our 11pm flight. They searched again and offered to check-in our hand luggage free of charge. So we were only left with a backpack and a small bag that had our essentials. We boarded our flight and off to Frankfurt. It was a 6 hrs flight, we were very exhausted and slept all through. Hubby started feeling sick at some point cos of stress but the flight attendant was helpful. Food wasn't great unless that's just my taste buds cos hubby finished his I was wondering, no be the same food I dey chop like this. We arrived Frankfurt by 7am and that was the longest wait ever 6hrs!! We used that time to freshen up, bought some stuff to eat and waited for our next flight to Vancouver (yes oo, no be small travel) most of the faces this time were Asians and whites, I no see up to 5 African people we boarded around 1:30pm, (flight was delayed) and embarked on our 9hrs flight. This one wasn't bad, I saw like 4-5 movies and slept and ate (I was like God when will we finally arrive) We arrived at Vancouver, guys, the view was astonishing, Vancouver is beautiful. We headed straight to the self check-in boothe and inputted our details, did our biometrics and declared our goods, I selected no for everything biko cos my luggage was already heading to Calgary, I no get that time. Printed our slip and met a newbie office who confirmed our documents, asked if we had covid symptoms, we said no. He then directed us to immigration. Got to immigration and they were super nice and friendly. Everything was done in less than 30mins cos there were people before us bit not much. The officer checked our documents, asked those criminal records questions and that was it, congratulations you're now a permanent resident of Canada. No POF questions, no how much are you carrying with you. God was indeed behind us and before us. We went ahead to aircanada but we already missed our flight. They gave us the next available flight which was in less than 45 mins. I forgot to mention the weather in Vancouver was perfect. We got some CAD from the ATM using my dom card, then went ahead to where we would board our flight to Calgary. We boarded at around 5:25pm, this flight was beautiful. Arrived my beautiful, breathtaking Calgary in less than 2 hours on the 24th. Our luggage was already waiting for us outside the baggage claim as e done arrive before us with the previous flight we missed. No test, no search, nothing. Got a sim, used an airport taxi to our Airbnb. Our Airbnb host are two Indian siblings, nice people and the place is neat. When we arrived everywhere was still very bright like it was 3/4pm in the afternoon (first culture shock) and cold ewooo!! Hubby made a big mistake and showered he was literally shivering and ran out into the duvet and that was it, I no baff, I just enter sleep. We got our SIN the next day and opened and opened a bank account. We've not been able to get our health card cos we need a proof of a permanent address. Hopefully we'll do that next week. God has been on our side and I thank Him for it. For those waiting, don't worry, yours is on the way, just relax, we'll all enjoy the good of this land. It's indeed a beautiful country and way different from the trenches. Everyone here is super nice and polite 52 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello
My passport expires September 10 2022, I got PPR on April 6th 2022,4 days after was 10th of April 2022 which will have been less than 6 months validity period (My Passport would most likely have gotten to the VO when its less than 6 months because of the timeline I have seen from other peoples post from when it gets to VFS and later sent to the embassy), I was asked to submit my passport within 21 days but the PPR stated that my passport should have at least 6 months validity on it. I was unable to because of this.I am already on the process of renewal.
PPR letter states that if for any reason I am unable to send my Passport to them I can raise a webform which I have done, but I haven't gotten a concrete feedback apart from the usual generic response, calling has been difficult I have tried calling since April but to know avail, I have also tried all the tricks posted here also but still I cant reach them.
Any idea how I can go about it. When I do get my passport do I just send it to the nearest VO even though the 21 days given has elapsed; I intend printing a copy of all the webform raised as well as email sent, along with the response to each. Please Advise. Someone had one or two months validity and her passport was stamped and she traveled |

Nupsy08: Hi Lotusgoddess,
Congratulations! Have you gotten your passport back? How long did it take between when you sent your passport and when you got back? Also, can you please help with the steps for sending to Kenya? Sorry for the loads of questions.
Thanks.
Hi, sorry I'm just seeing this. Everything took less than two weeks. To send to Kenya, we (WhatsApp group) send our documents through a dhl agent and we paid 58k to and fro. For transmission fee, I paid 5120 Kenya shillings (26,666 naira) for a family of two. It's 2560 for a single person. I made this payment using barter by flutterwave to vfs Kenya account: Account name: VFS (Kenya) Limited Canada Holdings Country: Kenya Currency: Kenya Shilling Bank Name: Absa Bank Branch: Barclays Plaza Street: Loita Street - Nairobi Bank Account No: 2037342214 IBAN No: 2037342214 SWIFT: BARCKENX Chips UID / Sort code: 03 You can also use a dom account or if you have someone in Kenya to help you make payment, better. We (WG) have a guy that help majority of people in the group to make payment. Hope this is detailed enough? 3 Likes 3 Shares |

Enculer: Morning All,
I hope you are well. We have been asked to send our passports for visa stamps as part of permanent residency. However, my son's passport expires in october and mine in January 2023.
Is there a minimum numbers of months required before passport expiry?
Kind Regards, If your son's passport renewal is going to exceed that 30 days, my advice is submit it that way. I've seen someone here on NL that submitted with 4 months left on his passport (passport expiration) |

Passport is back, with DHL, to be delivered to me on may 5th. Flight is still in a month's time. Please what airline did you book with? |

sandysilver: Good day fam. Pls i will like to get advice on my already submitted application. In the personal history section, under personal activities in the past 10yrs, i stated my work history for the past 10yrs. I did not include the Pgd i did 2years ago in the personal activity. All the details of my Pgd was stated in the Study/language section and is also in my Eca. The study was a part time 1yr study. Do i need to raise a webform and fill schedule A again? Or is it unecessary since all details are in other sections. Thanks Raise a webform but if it was stated under education it's supposed to have been filled up automatically. Did you check and you didn't see it there? |

sandysilver: Its a private company and inworkinwork 10hrs daily. The reference letter has 10hrs daily. I have updated my profile to 50hrs weekly. The only issue i have is that my score increased from 1008 to 1033. I want to attach an LOE too stating ii mistakenly quoted the hours per day rather than per week. Will this be termed misrepresentation? My score did not go below the cut off either. That's fine then 1 Like |

sandysilver: Seniors in the house i need help please. When i created my profile, i mistakenly selected 10hrs as working hours per week thinking its per day. I got nomination and invitation to apply. I spotted this error just when i was about to submit my application. I tried adjusting the hours and noticed that my score increased by 25points, which is above my ITAITA score. Do i adjust it or leave it as it is and write an LOE to that affect. My reference letter stated the correct number of hours when i submitted to my province and got nomination. The second option. Leave it that way with LOE for peace of mind. Thank God you noticed it before submitting, it would have gotten you a rejection for misinterpretation or maybe an ADR of the VO is kind. 1 Like |

Also my score was higer than this in January , i wonder what changed . Your age changed. If you can rewrite IELTS and max out, that would boost your score. It can fly for PNP if you're lucky. Alberta selects from 300 but it depends if they select your noc. Do your research on PNPs 2 Likes |
