Zamfara APC chieftains drag chairman to court over suspension 16th November 2025 Three chieftains of the Zamfara chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress have dragged their state chairman, Tukur Danfulani, before a State High Court in Gusau over their suspension, describing the action as “illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional.” This was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday. The aggrieved officials — APC Chairman of Shinkafi South Ward, Babangida Shinkafi; Welfare Secretary, Kabiru Ibrahim; and the representative of Persons with Disabilities in the council, Ibrahim Kurya — were suspended for attending a November 11 stakeholders’ meeting. The meeting was organised by the Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front, a political camp loyal to Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi. The party regarded the attendance as an anti-party activity, leading to their suspension. The suspended trio, however, argued that their suspension was issued verbally by the Shinkafi Local Government Chairman, Ibrahim Bama, without any formal allegation of wrongdoing or opportunity to defend themselves. “It is unjust to punish fellow party members for attending a stakeholders’ meeting of the party duly convened for its progress. The purported suspension was issued by the Zamfara State APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani. “We shall not be distracted by activities of detractors and reactionary forces that do not mean well for our great party.“It is in the interest of justice that all parties in the suit should stay action and await the determination of the matter by a court of competent jurisdiction,” the statement partly read. In the suit filed on November 14, they asked the court to declare them bona fide members of the APC and to void any attempt to suspend, expel, intimidate, or harass them. They also sought a perpetual injunction restraining the state chairman or any party official from taking further action against them, as well as an order directing all parties to maintain the status quo pending determination of the case. The officials maintained that they were duly elected in the 2022 party congresses and that their tenure remains valid. Their suspension adds to the lingering crisis in the Zamfara APC, which has been plagued by factional battles since losing the 2019 and 2023 governorship elections. Stakeholders have repeatedly blamed the losses on the imposition of candidates and internal wrangling. On November 1, APC leaders in the state met in Talata Mafara under the leadership of former governor Abdul’aziz Yari, where they endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the party’s 2027 consensus presidential candidate and pledged to ensure credible primaries going forward. A similar meeting held by the Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front on November 11 also endorsed Tinubu and backed Yari as the party leader in the state — a move that reportedly triggered the latest round of suspensions.

Black Swans — Nature’s Cleanest Scam 🦢 At first glance, they look like your typical swan couple. Graceful. Calm. Gliding across the water, surrounded by fluffy chicks. Everything seems normal. But don’t be fooled. These aren’t peaceful symbols of love. They’re running one of nature’s most flawless scams. They don’t migrate. They don’t lay eggs. They don’t even struggle. They want kids — but there’s a small problem. These two came with 🍌. So they make a plan. Not just any plan, but a full-blown operation worthy of a nature documentary heist. They find a female swan. Flirt with her. Impress her. Make her believe she’s found the perfect mate. She agrees. They build a nest together. She dreams of calm waters, happy chicks, and a peaceful family life. Meanwhile, he’s already plotting betrayal with his male partner. Yes, you read that right. These two aren’t just bonded — they’re scheming. Everything you’ve seen so far was only step one of the plan. As soon as she lays her eggs, they turn on her. They chase her off her own nest, bite, and threaten her until she flees. The perfect con. Sometimes they skip the fake romance altogether. They wait for a female to leave her nest and move in like feathered real estate scammers. The nest? The eggs? The chicks? All stolen. No guilt. No hesitation. No remorse. Just two dads raising a family that was never theirs to begin with. And here’s the twist — it works. Science backs it up. Male-male pairs raise more surviving chicks than straight ones. They’re more aggressive. More coordinated. And more protective. Some studies even suggest they’re more caring than heterosexual pairs. The female, though, is left behind. No nest. No chicks. No closure. Only confusion and loss. Because in nature, there are no rules. No fairness. No morality. Only what survives — and what’s willing to take it. --- 📚 Sources: - BBC Earth: Male Black Swans Form Long-Term Same-Sex Bonds. - National Geographic: The Secret Lives of Black Swans. - Animal Behaviour Journal: Cooperative Breeding and Same-Sex Pairing in Cygnus atratus. - Sanctuary Lakes Nature Blog: Nature’s Rubik — The Curious Life of the Black Swan

There are a lot of people around this country like me who more than making money out of agriculture have passion for farming ( crop and animal) but it has became impossible to practice due to inability to raise capital because farming probably unknown to many is capital intensive and requires labour. I've been farming for a long time now but not to a commercial level, I have access to land ( many cultivable hectares) and every time I go to farm I almost shed tears seeing business opportunities ahead of me but unable to utilize it due to lack of capital. I've only been farming on small portion of land which I can manage alone( Clearing, weeding, making ridges with crude tools). Commercial Farming requires capital. No individual loan for Farmers, you can't get money through cooperative as it is only the influencial ones who benefits and continue to increase their riches, nothing in this country favours the poor. Just fed up. With some thounsands I can get things done with my experience. Ideas burning in my head.... This is the fate of many nigerian youth the government keeps telling to go into farming. |

Do you know why oil and gas companies operating in Nigeria have to keep applying for expatriate quotas to bring in thousands of foreign workers? It is because there are over 250,000 oil and gas jobs in Nigeria, yet Nigerians keep going to universities to read library science, linguistics, sociology, philosophy and political science. Courses that have no relevance to anywhere and anything in Nigeria. Then these same people complain that foreigners are coming to take their jobs. What job can you do at Chevron with your PhD in Religious Studies? That is why Total and Elf are bringing non-graduates with technical skills from France to do jobs that you could have done if you had just spent six months learning a skill. Dangote built a $19.5 billion refinery and could not find 11,000 Nigerian technicians to run it, because all of you have degrees in botany and philosophy. Google it. Dangote had to import 11,000 technicians from India. They are at Lekki earning in one hour more than you make in a month, because you wasted four years studying languages and linguistics. The next thing is to join Obidients to blame Tinubu for your predicament. I greet you o! #TableShaker |

Before you spend four years studying a course at a university, do a Cost Benefit Analysis. Take a course like philosophy. If you study philosophy for four years and you graduate, of what benefit are you to yourself and society? With Google, anyone can understand any aspect of philosophy in ten minutes or less. Then you start saying, 'I don't have a job four years after graduating. The government is useless.' No. It is not the government that is useless. You, right now, I challenge you to name five places you can work and add value with your philosophy, sociology, library science, and other such liberal chewing gum degrees. Be realistic. Spend half the cost and time to learn nursing, SEO optimising, web designing, coding, programming, machine learning, cloud computing, blockchain, and AI skills. That is a more successful outcome against money spent. Don't study a course that lost relevance in the eighties and then blame the government. Blame yourself. AI, robots and automation are rendering even valuable degrees like accounting, HR management and creative writing close to obsolete, and you are still applying to study sociology to become one out of fifty thousand sociology graduates chasing non-existing jobs. Fact-check me. Fortune 500 companies in the US are dropping degree requirements in place of skills. Please study a course that is up to tomorrow, not one that belongs in a museum. |

Twin girls in Croatia will celebrate their birthdays on different dates after they were born just a minute apart but in different years, a hospital said Wednesday. One of the girls was born at 23:59 (2259 GMT) on December 31, and the other a minute after midnight on January 1, an official told AFP at a hospital in the coastal town of Split, where the babies were born. "It is really an unusual situation," head of the hospital's perinatology department Damir Roje told local media. He added that although he had seen twins born over different days before, it was the first time in his professional career that he had seen twin babies born over different years. The tiny difference means the family will celebrate one of the girls' birthdays on New Year's Eve and the other one on New Year's Day, he said. https://www.facebook.com/61554861796121/posts/pfbid02yJ1SpP4Fmr7oCTSbnLSWKRvC2CWAPNm9XQ4hUMmr6r95wmDzcmevcA35EUk7FNBsl/ |
Crazy Things Happening |
President Tinubu can immediately improve the economic conditions of most Nigerians and make the Naira grow by issuing an Executive Order authorising the Nigerian Communications Commission to ban sports betting apps from the App Store of any GSM Internet Service Provider in Nigeria and revoking the licenses of any physical sports betting operators in Nigeria. It makes better sense than Buhari's draconian #TwitterBan. Reno Omokri on his Facebook page wrote 'There is such an epidemic of gambling in Nigeria and it is destroying Nigerian youths. $1 billion is spent on gambling daily in Nigeria, according to the National Lottery Trust Fund. Please fact-check me. The average Nigerian spends $15 daily on sports betting and other types of gambling, with the vast majority of that amount leaving our economy and going to places like Russia, South Africa, and Europe. The Naira can never sustain its rally under such circumstances. This is scary. How much is our GDP that we are pissing it away like that? More money is leaving Nigeria through gambling than is coming in. Buhari was thoroughly useless in that he was an anti-intellectual who was led by the nose by his former recharge card seller turned overnight billionaire nephew, Tunde Sabiu. But Tinubu is an accountant. He must know that this parasitic economic sabotage will destroy Nigeria if left unchecked. A lot of the petty crime in Nigeria is caused by youths seeking money, by any means, to fund their gambling habit. It would be irresponsible for a first-class accountant like Tinubu not to act on such a matter as threatening to our national security as this gambling epidemic. Just imagine millions of able-bodied youths waking up daily not to do any productive work but to waste away their lives online and offline at sports betting shops. And we have a government in place led by a first-class graduate in economics?' |
