I'm tired of this probe, after Enron scandal in US the govt comes out with strict law sarbanes oxley act 2002, if Nigeria govt is serious they just need to tighten the law on the subsidy claim and payment and safe wasting tax payers money on this probe, cos only god knows if 1 billion naira is awarded to probe this case.

This is not the first time it has been happening since around 1985 till present, my pry school was very close to their barrack when I was in pry school and I can remember how arrogants were the kids coming from the barrack to school back in the days, student came to school with his brother with full loaded barrel to threaten teacher in Poly High School around 2001/2002 , but it is good it got to the media this time.

I'm sure nothing can be done to him cos it is federal case and not state.

Research in Motion, regardless of how you may view its recent history or its long-term future, still has a stronghold on the corporate world. Its lineup of BlackBerry smartphones are known for great battery life, comfortable keyboards with intuitive shortcuts, top-notch native email and Enterprise clients and -- most important to businesses -- unrivaled security features. Sure, its influence is waning as competitors have caught up in some areas (and surpassed it in others), but there are plenty of companies that have clung to their CrackBerries and held on tight.

RIM's been hard at work trying to regain lost momentum by introducing a series of new devices featuring its latest OS, BlackBerry 7, and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 / 9930 series has been the star of the show so far. The problem is, it's not flashy enough. How is a C-level exec supposed to walk proudly on the golf course with a $300 (subsidized) phone? Talk about embarrassing. Have no fear, poor corporate top dog, luxury brand Porsche Design has come up with a solution: the $2,300 BlackBerry P'9981, a Vertu-ized version of that lesser handset you wouldn't be caught dead using.

BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981 hits FCC
Porsche Design P'9981 introduced
The P'9981 is available only in the UK and the Middle East for now, so until the device arrives in the US this Spring, anyone who lives stateside will have to rely on retailers to import some in. Fortunately we got the hookup by our friends at Negri Electronics, who happily lent us one of the few handsets they have in stock. As a result, we're now able to discuss the real questions circling around such a Richie Rich smartphone: what in the blue blazes makes this so expensive? Is it even worth it? How different is it from a standard BlackBerry Bold 9900? You'll find these answers and plenty of mysteries unravelled after the break.

Just for discussion, anyone with more info can elaborate.
PoliticsList Of Boko Haram Sponsors by lovejo(op): 4:44pm On Jan 27, 2012
List OF BOKO HARAM SPONSORS

“Most of them (Northern governors), pay us monthly to leave their states alone”…that was one of the spokesmen for Boko Haram, Saidu Umar aka Usman Al Zawahiri.

For eternity these lunatics have unleashed terror on the Nigeria state and its people. As at last Friday, death toll, policemen, soldiers and civilians’ hovers between 950 and 1200…and still counting.

While The Federal Government and its security chiefs have perfected how to write condolence speeches, the deadly sect continues to grow in strength, employing sophisticated tactics reminiscent of Al Qaeda modus operandi.

They have several times boasted about their ‘exploits’ and often reveled why they remain invincible. Top guns like Umar Sokoto, Baba Kuwa Fugu, Imam Abubakar, Sanda Umar, Ustaz Mohammed Yusuf (late), Uzairu Abba Abdulahi (late) and Zawahiri, have at different fora dropped hints about those behind them.

They have fingered governors, members of the national assembly, security operatives, emirs, etc. Today, we present the faces of those who have given financial and moral support to Boko Haram, right from the days of the Jos crises, and also give you snippets into their mindsets, or a brief profile.
This is the first installment. As time goes on we will continue to put faces to the sponsors and sympathizers.

Speaker Aminu Tambuwal says “ There is need to forgive them ( Boko Haram). We should bring them to the table and discuss with them to see how to end these problems”

Adamu Ciroma asked about moves by the Federal Government to seek the intervention of northern elders he said “ I won’t talk about that”…asked about Boko Haram he said “ Boko Haram is a product of bad governance and it is the duty of government to try to ensure things are done properly”

Sacked IGP Hafiz Ringim allegedly, in concert with his lackey, Zakari Biu, ensured Umaru Sokoto, arrested in Abuja, varnished from Abaji. He ensured no photo or fingerprint was taken of such a high profile operative believed to have masterminded the bombing of the church in Madalla. It was learnt that Sokoto had to be allowed to ‘escape’ because he had information on top sponsors including members of the Federal Executive Council.

Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano. In August 2011, ordered the release of all Boko Haram suspects in the state by security agencies. He had said, “there is no justification for their continued detention. If there is any member of the sect in detention, I am hereby calling on security agencies to release them. The Governor paid N10 million to the sect and provided training ground for them in the woods.

Former Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi pays N10 miliion per month, for protection, provides training ground in the back woods. According to him “ Boko Haram is not against Nigeria society, but protesting Social injustice, it is just a pressure group. Yuguda who minimized the murder of several NYSC members by jihadists also apologized to the sect fro the 2009 crackdown. “ I apologize to members of Jamatu Ahlussunnah Liddawati wal Jihad for injustices caused them, “ he said last year.

Former Borno Governor, Ali Modu Sherriff had a Boko Haram representative in his cabinet. He was Fuji Foi who was later sacked and subsequently murdered under dodgy circumstances. He sponsored a militant group made up of Boko Haram operatives. The militant group was tagged ECOMOG. He also apologized to the sect for the crackdowns, and made substantial financial contributions.

Former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau administration in Kano made a monthly N10 million donation to the group. It was alleged that the Shekarau administration reached an agreement as far back as 2004 to be paying a monthly support of N5 million to the group which was later raised to N10 million sometime in 2009.

Senator Ali Ndume currently being prosecuted for ties to the sect. He, according to members of the sect help put together threatening text messages to prominent Nigerians.

He also made huge financial donations to the sect.
Former Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe, Sheidu Pinda, killed recently in a car crash, was a huge financier. He made millions of naira available for logistics and purchase of arms and ammunitions.

New IGP, M.D Abubakar was indicted twice for aiding jihadists in the strings of crises that engulf Jos, the Plateau state capital. The Justice Nikki Tobi recommended dismissal and warned that such a character could not be commissioner of police, which he was then.

Zakari Biu who was top gun at Zone 7 Abuja where Sokoto was initially locked up has ties to the sect. He was, during the Olusegun Obasanjo regime recommended for dismissal for misconduct and ties with militants, but he was suspended, and 10 years after smuggled back into the police by Ringim. He aided the escape of Sokoto.

Emir Of Suleja , Awalu Ibrahim, is a prominent sponsor and spiritual father of the sect. After the deadly bombing of a church in his domain, madalla, he refused to show up at the scene to condole with victim’s families.

He was subsequently queried by the state Governor, Babangida Aliyu. According to the state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Abdulahi Bawa Wuse, the government found out that despite the retinue of people and frontline Nigerian leaders that had visited the victims and the bomb sites from across the country to express their sympathy with those involved, the traditional ruler neither sent words of sympathy nor visited the area.

ALL Malays are Muslims BUT not all BUMIPUTRAS are Muslims! BUMIPUTRAS are the indigenes of the land and that includes the Ibans, Kelabit, Kadazans and the Malays. It excludes the Malay Chinese and Malay Indians. You need to read the memoirs of Mahathir Mohamad.

Nigerians can forge anything BUT in Malaysia you dont get Permanent Residency/citizenship by Marriage. Even the children born dont get automatic citizenship. To get an IC for such kids is difficult.

If they are doing a LEGAL business, it will be registered and they will have a Bumiputra as partners. So what business are they doing.

I know the number that work in Shell in KL

I know the number that work with Petronas (PMU, PCSB). I know those that work with Conoco and Schlumberger.

I know a few lecturing. I know the various Pastors with student visas.

Abeg, we dont have VALUES!
So you tell me no Nigerians has formed a company with bumi putra as partner here, you must be joking, even someone i'm living with has his own company and he is doing good, i don't think i need to reply you again, just stay in your ignorance and believe you know more than the rest.

Once you remove the GENUINE students, 99% of the remainder are CRIMINALS. They have no work so what are they doing? CRIME!
Yes on this you are very right, out of the remaining 99% that are criminals i can tell you 50% are conned here by agent in family and they join the band wagon than to go back to Nigeria after being cheat of all their money.

That you are married to a Singaporean NEVER qualified you for permanent residency. They basically clamped down on criminal activities and singled out Nigerians!

While Malaysia is a Muslim country, there are Bumiputras who are not Muslims. Most are from Sabah and Sarawak. Datuk Idris Jala who is the minister in Prime Ministers office in charge of the PERMADU for example is a Christian from Bario, in Sarawak. However, marriage to a Malaysian does not guarantee you Permanent Residency. Even for Malaysians to get IC is stress how much a foreigner. Easiest way is to go for Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) and that will cost you nothing less than RM300k to start.

Which investment do Nigerians have here? Selling foodstuff, doing car rental (just cover up), running pubs, prostituting at Beach club and Sunway and doing Yahoo yahoo. What else?

I can count the number of Nigerian professionals on my finger tips. I know the number that work in the oil industry, few that are lecturing. The rest 99.9% claim to be student!
All bumiputras are muslim, there is different between bumi putras and orang asli, sabah and sarawak are orang asli and iban and they are not muslim, i think you understand my point, i don't argue on net i just states the fact that i know, i know a lot of Nigerians here that has Permanent residence after fulfilling the criteria after marriage which is the same way in Singapore before.
It will be a shame if i deny Nigerians  has investment here apart from the list you have mention, i don't need to give some companies names here and what they produce.
Everything you have said is right about their work, but you can never generalise it and that is the fact.

Criminal activity and the last straw what the one that killed the girl friend.

As at 2008, Nigerians do not need visa to go to Singapore. Now Nigerians are given 'special' treatment in Singapore.
Let me tell you reasons why Nigerians were sent packing from Singapore, you can take it or leave it.

1) Criminal activity which is everywhere in the world.
2)Fraudulent activities of family and friend send many people to Singapore that they will connect them to Canada on arrival and this led to abuse of free visa to Singapore as given to us during OBJ regime.
The las that straw that broke the camel back was this
3) Permanent visa in Singapore give you access to many country in the world, Nigerians married their citizen both young and olds and they do not care, but suddenly they discovered many children and heartbroken wife , when they ask for their husband or father they will tell them He has travel to Canada coming back and this has been rampant and they discovered Nigerians don't have interest in their country after the the permanent residence they use to travel to western world.
To stop this abuse they need to send them packing because there is no way they can stop someone from getting marry to Nigerians, but now that there is no Nigeria or few of them, let us see how they cam marry the citizen or take the permanent residence.

Malaysia is a muslim majority country, you have to be convert to islam before you can marry the locals, so most Nigerians don't really marry them , only crime is the problem of Nigeria which can be solve in short run, Singapore protect the future of their country in the long run by sending nigerians away.

Malaysia consists of three ethnics group,Malay, Chinese and india, it is only a Malay you can marry that you can have few advantages , the other if you marry them is just like from frying pan to fire, there is Gap between the 3 and i can't tell you more than that.

What is happening in Uk is similar to what has happened is Singapore, abuse of Social welfare, in Malaysia you don't abuse any welfare and you can never be part of it.

Meanwhile nigerians has a lot of investment here and you can find out yourself by research, one bad apple will always be among the good ones, the probability of bad to good Nigeria is high.

The opposition has nothing to do with it. Nigerians have constituted themselves as NUISANCE! Soon they will be chased out of Malaysia the same way they were chased out of Singapore. We have no respect for rules and law. No respect for sanctity of contracts. Our value system is weird!
Please can you tell me the reason Nigerians or Black generally were chased out of Singapore, if you do know it i will accept and if you do not i will tll you and let you know the difference between Malaysia and Singapore.

Sincerely, from October till December, a lot of people have been bursted without committing any crime, those that do commit the real crime can never be trace or bursted they have means to move in and out of the country at any time, innocent people are been victimised.
I don't know Bidemi because I'm not the type that do go out, i'm an average professional student here with a year keft to finish, what Bidemi has done with what is happening here that i have heard is like collecting a penny but He was unfortunate by been greedy as i said earlier.
The opposition party are using Nigerian against the ruling government that they are not doing anything to stop them and this has led to massive arrest and most have been released, only those that do not have visa stay longer. Malaysia is as corrupt as Nigeria only drug case is serious here and even American life wont be spare because they hanged there citizen overtime they found them guilty.

All tribe in Nigeria here do this, maybe be with exceptions of hausa using stolen govt fund or few of them that are not into it as many other tribe. Female are not excluded, so it is not a new thing, if anyone know the guy Bidemi I can bet you he is still in Malaysia, He is not the first one that has been on news like this and they are still here after the news living large.
But with new introduction of finger print at port of entry, anyone deported on crime will find it difficult to come back here, though they always have there way to by pass their law here due to corruption, Malaysia is the most corrupt nation in south east asia.

The fact is just that GEJ is nobody in history of Nigeria, and it has become a bitter pill for them swallow to be in Aso Rock, the problem is not GEJ , the problem is just that there is no unity in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: President Goodluck Jonathan Should Resign? by lovejo(m): 4:34pm On Dec 29, 2011
maclatunji:
They can, by blocking all of Jonathan's unpopular bills including elements of the Appropriation Bill (AKA Budget) and making use of their oversight powers. If need be they can impeach him. I know what I am talking about. I guess you guys are too simplistic to understand. Even the Judiciary can become just as powerful if the conditions are right. Right now the conditions are right for the ascendancy of the National Assembly. I suggest that since removing GEJ and Sambo may not be feasible, the National Assembly should exert its influence by making sure that minimum standards of governance are maintained. Guess what? The National Assembly just demanded that the Director General of the BPE be sacked. They can remove anybody in the Executive if they really want to (this forms a great part of their power).

The National Assembly are supposed to be the direct Repesentatives of the people. And in a democracy power resides with the people (at least theoretically). So whenever, I say the National Assembly should take-over the affairs of the country I know what I am saying. Maybe, you are too simple-minded to understand that.

This can only happen if the Executive is Weak and right now it is.

Do you guys know what happened with the "Doctrine of Necessity" that brought Jonathan into power as Acting President? The National Assembly took over the country and made an "illegal" move but it worked because majority of Nigerians wanted to fill the vacuum that the absence of Yar'adua had created not that the move was constitutional.

I can see that many of us are textbook robots who cannot make projections and see that there is something called "de-facto" power. If Tinubu can rule Lagos from behind the scenes I find it laughable that some of you are telling me that the National Assembly cannot do the same. No one is perfect, but those of you waiting for me to make a gaffe have to wait much longer  tongue.
I clearly understood your point of view, but the National Assembly we have are incompetent and potent and they know nothing about governance than to look for opportunity to steal. Tell me impeachable offence of GEJ and know that GEJ can always use executive power which makes him POWER than National Assembly.

Bro admit you made a gaffe, National Assembly can not take over the power, if you are talking about impeachment you are right but they can never take over, there is hierarchy of power and Sambo is next to GEJ.
