I am happy to announce to you all that my administrative review was successful, the decision of refusal was overturned and my visa has been issued.

For those seeking to knw where to submit their AR pls check the refusal stamp @ the back of ur passport. Sheffo : means sheffield, lag means lagos, and abj means abuja. Gud luck to u all and thanks once again.

yes o, the lawyer has submitted the review today and i'm just hoping for the best if not I just reapply. No I didn't include any other additional form or supporting documents because I read the latest immigration rules and it says u should only send in an administrative review letter without any supporting documents. I just really hope I get it!

Same thing happened to her and she personally did a review and sent it herself and she was eventually given the visa. But she didn't use a lawyer, she wrote the letter back to them by herself

solomonwis: Well, by my estimation the 250k made available for the trip is way too small. By including your aged parents, I don't mean their bio data,I mean are you in any way responsible for their upkeep and did you state how much that comes to monthly in the application form?

You can not appeal the decision as you are not entitled to an appeal. Asking for a review will be a complete waste of time. You can only re-apply.

Make sure in reapplying, you state how much you give your dependents (Your parents in this case) monthly. The return ticket alone should cost you nothing less than 300k which is half of what you have in your Bank account-This will be seen to impact negatively on the continuity of your business (which could be a reason not to come back into the country), so you need to work on your finances as it is too meager an incentive to want to return into the country.

solomonwis: The business registration certificate submitted, is it a private limited liability company or just a registered business/business venture? If it is a private limited liability, did the other partners/shareholders consent to your travelling? Did you include other business docs apart from certificate of Incorporation like forms CO2 and CO7?

Another angle to it is to look at your bank statement, which bank statement did you submit( Personal, Business or both),how much your account balance is and how much you intend spending for the trip. Aside the business registration certificate, bank statement, tax clearance and other business documents, you seem not to have included anything else about your family hence the decision of the ECO. Even if unmarried, as a business entrepreneur you should have dependents(such as your parents for instance) and this appear not to have been stated.

Those are the areas given weight to by the ECO which seem to be against you, you need to address those concern and then you can reapply.

solomonwis: The bolded part actually addressed the reason for the refusal. The family tie is of concern here and your financial and economic tie were also in question.

It will also be better if you list the documents you submitted along with the application.

riteaide: Of course, you can add an extra sheet. Make reference to the additional sheet in the additional information box in the online form. Type the extra information and print on an A4 sheet. Heading can be: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Continuation).

You can end by adding your name and signature.

I had the same issue. You are allowed to add further information, in writing to the print out of your submitted VA9 form.

LondonCool: Your brother needs to add his UK bank statement, a letter from his landlord giving him permission to temporarily accommodate another person in his house, and a copy of his employment contract.

I hope you are not using your business / company account for the N500,000 proof of funds? You need to show that you still have strong ties in Nigeria ( i.e family ties, business ties,etc).
