Good evening all, i want to open an account with Morgan. Will i be able to sell the stock I bought with United Capital on Morgan's platform if I use the same CHN. I'm really tired of UCAP, I've been unable to have access to their online trading for more than one month. I have a couple of shares there which I want to move to Morgan, is this possible?

I don't know the gain of some people making snide comments at Rabbi. They will never contribute technically or fundamentally but quick to discourage people contributing a whole lot. Very soon the people that give good analysis here will no longer do so cos of irrelevant jabs. Thank you Rabbi, OGG,Mcy and other contributors, i really appreciate you.

Just checked, nothing yet

That alert from CSCS means your order has been fulfilled.
Your broker's platform is probably not synchronizing with NSE at that time.
Just email them to update your portfolio
Thanks. Will send a mail now

Good morning all.
I just read on Nairametrics that you have to have bought shares three days before qualification date to be entitled to dividend. How true is this pls? Thank you

Who is your broker to start with?
After they refused to buy the first day, why not call them to register your displeasure?

** To your question, if your broker is an analogue type that doesn't operate digital platform, I'm sorry you have no choice than to be at their mercy, you have to keep sending mandate and just follow it up with calls or visitations to their office if you're close by.
** If you can enter the request yourself, why sending mandate in the first place? That's if they have "trade by yourself platform".

** For the last question, if it's possible for you to send them mandate to buy/sell for you and you still trade yourself, there's no issue than the fact that you will have double of the quantities you wish to buy (should they execute it), that's if you have enough fund to cover it in your acct.

Note:
* Once prices are going up, your brokers too will be much more concerned with accumulating their quantities too, hence their needs and that of their deep pocket customers takes priorities first.
What this means is that your mandate comes second, they may attend to it when the prices have gone up already and 'they're less busy'.
** Open another account with a digital broker so you can trade by yourself, that's IF they don't operate digital trading.(must be with same CHN though).
** If they have digital platform, learn to trade by yourself.

Thank you Mcy56, I appreciate.

I registered my displeasure through calls and mails. All they know how to do is to acknowledge my requests. Though they treated my requests last week but nothing this week for three days.

I use United Capital. I requested for their online platform and they told me to fill update forms as they claim not to have my email address with them ( same mail they send daily market updates to o).

I'm yet to send the forms as I recently did name change. I will try and get necessary documents as the surname on BVN has changed and send to them to show evidence of name change on Tuesday so that they can creat me on their online platform. Thank you dear

@Mcy56,

Kindly assist, I'm a newbie.

I have been following the discussion for some time now and I appreciate all the ogas, you all are doing well.

I sent requests to my brokers on Tues, Wed and today to purchase some shares (usually sent btw 11am and 12pm) at a price but they delay for hours and towards close of biz the stock will rise and my requests won't be treated.

For example, I sent request around past 12 yesterday to purchase ETI at N4 but they delayed and price went up towards close of biz. Same thing happened today, I sent request for N4.4 at past eleven and still they didn't execute it as price went up to N4.65 around 2pm. Same thing with Access bank.

I want to request for online access, is it possible to enter my requests online and still send the same request to my broker so that I don't miss out on Tuesday? Will there be an issue if I request and also do same from their end? I'm just looking for ways not to miss out on Tuesday, Pls help a JJC. Thank you

Good afternoon, pls I have a question. A friend of mine purchased a NTB of 60m at the rate of 17.2 for 182 days and CBN bid rate was 17.2, meaning he won. But we noticed that instead of debiting him 54,854,136, he was debited 7,942,879. When we made equiry, the bank said it is because he won at CBN stop rate and that CBN prorates and readvices a face value, which they said Is around 8.33m in this case. Please help me understand o Thanks.

GTB has not debited me, I submitted on Monday and went for 14.98% for 364 days. Is it b/c I chose my rate because they usually debit me when I go with their own rate.

And is there any evidence of purchasing NTB that banks give like in FD? Something like certificate, thanks.
Travel / Re: General German Business And Tourist Visas ONLY by Lovinwa: 10:05pm On Feb 28, 2016
FrontPageLawyer:

Please go back to my first post for your first question. Well detailed.
I'm afraid you'll need to include your leave letter and since you're entitled to 22days leave period and wish to spend only 10days you can as well wait for the letter to be issued before you apply.
For a short term visa. The wait time after the interview is usually 7-14 days.
Your insurance can be issued at anytime, but must be valid for entry clearance and also cover your entire stay in the Schengen area.

What I am trying to say is that my employer can only give a leave letter at most 7 days b4 the Leave starts....leave is mostly approved 1-3 days prior to leave. So they can consider it if my employer incudes that in my letter of Introduction?
Travel / Re: General German Business And Tourist Visas ONLY by Lovinwa: 7:27pm On Feb 28, 2016
@FrontPageLawyer, can u assist on d ffg:
1. How do I go abt applying for a Germany visa cos I'm a JJC? Pls include all d detail required
2. They can only give Leave letter earliest a week b4 d leave. How do I convince the VO that I'm entitled to 22 working days leave and I would be taking 12 working days leave for my vacation in Germany w/out a leave letter?
3. Is it possible to apply for an insurance 3-4 months b4 departure date.
I will appreciate ur response because my job doesn't give me much space to be going to d Embassy without achieving any result. Thanks

finances was a huge factor, because I initially intended to complete the professional PGD in environmental health before I finished my Nysc, but had to put the plans on hold because of factors beyond my control. environmental health is relevant and will really pay off if you have a real career plan to follow. Though I might not go through with it again because it was actually my plan B wink

Ok, but apart from Environmental health, do you know other certifications that a Biochemist can do,especially those related to health? NO vex say I dey ask too much.
Career pple on Nairaland, your contributions will be highly appreciated.

lol! greatest metabolite!!! grin

i almost went for a similar certification in environmental health earlier this year (actually a professional PGD from ehorecon). I didn't go through with it but decided to pitch my tent elsewhere. ehorecon (environmental health officers registration council of nigeria) training will cost you just N170,000 for a 9 month course wink

Thanks for your input Coollabman, why didn't you go for it? Is it not relevant in the labour market in Nigeria, cos the money is not small o. What course are you now doing?

Good evening Nairalanders, will really appreciate your response especially from those in medical nd pure science fields.
Am a graduate of Biochemistry and would love to have a certification as am not planning for Msc now to boost my CV. I am looking at obtaining a certification from Edwin chadwick school of environmental health....duration is 1yr.
I really want someone who has experienced it or knows someone that has gotten the certification to throw more light on it in terms of the advantage it has in the labour market and the quality of education given. Pls am waiting o because I don't have money to waste at this time of my life.

The argument is that benue state has occupy the position for 8 years under david mark. Since it is coming back to NC, and since the SS and SE mess up, they concluded that it should go to another state in NC aside from benue state.

We(SE) are not sorry cos we voted for PDP, get that into ur skull. No SE was in top 4 four in GEJ administration. ...so no be new thing and we are are still doing very fine. At least 95% of Nigerians voted based on religion or ethnicity. SE was obvious because we are the only region with less than 1% Islam. So stop lamenting for us..We don't need it, come 11th April, Rochas will be voted out.
