Now don't get me wrong, i am not here saying; "Oh Wenger is in a list", these personal awards do nothing for me. I am an Arsenal supporter, not a personality supporter. I am proud when a player or coach of the club gets nominated, or acknowledged for any personal accolades, but thats where it stops.

Whether Wenger is in any list or not, doesn't matter to me, its what he does for my team that matters. If Henry goes on to win awards in Spain with Barca, how does that affect me , i can only feel proud that he once wore the Arsenal colours. So it has nothing to do with being a Gooner.

Anyways people, its been a funny 2 weeks.

I have been away from my station for the past 2 weeks State trotting across the country that is Nigeria, wonderful yet tiring.

In the past 2 weeks alot has been happening in the world of footie, specifically as concerns my beloved club, ARSENAL FC

So with a month to go till the end of the footie season where do we stand Well it seems we blew our chance for ay silverware last night, as only a miracle will deliver us the Prem.

And following the way decisions have been going against us, coupled with the failings of the team, i don't expect much/hold much hope.

Observations on last night's game.

1. If that was a pen, then how come the one against Hleb wasn't given I guess that was a clear case of "SH@T HAPPENS" UEFA Style. .

Usually these kind of stuff even themselves out, but it usually is applicable in a league situation, not a cup game where the stakes are so high, and some decisions can make or break you. This one broke us.

2. Congrats to Liverpool, they got it right over the 2 legs, decisions or no decisions.

That match was a CLASSIC We gone the rough end of it, but i raise my hands up for both teams, they wet for it, and the best team won

3. Why does Arsene continue to play that MOFO Eboue why oh why must we be put through minutes of watching that guy donning an Arsenal jersey

4. I have no other complaints, we made defensive errors, of that there is no doubt, but like i keep saying, Cup games can go either way, some refs would have not giventhat pen, and the game would have been ours, but it wasn't, we live with it.

The boys played their hearts out (some more than others ). I can't ask for more. Well i can, but what difference will it make.

3. Theo PURE CLASS Wenger please i don't care if he has some bad games, Theo deserves to start every game from now on. WHAT MORE DOES HE NEED TO DO What is Eboue doing that Theo isn't to get a start.
4. Wenger Apart from the inclusion of Eboue (and Diaby to an extent, although he did justify his inclusion), what more could you have done. Some players gave their all, and most times in the gave we outplayed the scousers to a standstill, but it wasn't meant to be.
5. Gunners PURE CLASS You traveling supporters, we raise our hats to you, you follow the team through thick and thin,i don't know how i would have reacted if i was at Anfield last night. YOU GUYS ARE WHAT MAKES US PROUD.

It goes way beyond Wenger, some of those lads are bottling it when it matters, where i can bla,e Arsene is for his need to trust some players, when it is obvious they are going through a rough patch.

For example, why not bench Ade and start Nick B and "the Perse", then introduce Ade as a sub, i believe Ade is getting complacent, and coming in as a sub will re-motivate him to fight for his place.

Also most folks are slagging off fab4, i mean what more do people want the guy to do , He has given 2 assist for both goals against Boro and Chelsea, he opened the scoring at the San Siro when our strikers were AWOL. He send in all the killer passes which are not being utilised (Imagine if a player like Torres was at Arsenal ). Yes his form has dipped, but by God, other players need to step it up as well to support the lad.

Flamster is doing a good job, i didn't see fat frank much during the game, most times Chelsea choose to by pass the Midfield and hit Drogs first time. Apart from him and some others like Sagna, who else is stepping up to be counted

Basically, complacancy has crept into the squad, with us dropping points unnecessarily

1, Clichy's loss of concentration against the Brummies.
2, Ade refusing to pass to Nick to kill off The Brummies.
3, Ade's lost early chance against Wigan.
4, Senderos own goal against Villa (i mean how many shots did Villa nmuster during the whole bleeping game ).
5, Gallas waiting for the Offside decision against Boro, which led to Ali's goal.

I could go on and on. Some say its fatigue some say its a thin squad whenever has Wenger ever had a bloated squad Some say its the lack of talent in our squad YEAH RIGHT!!

The simple truth is that, the lads are bottling it when it matters, Liverpool are suffering from the same thing this season, THEY BOTTLED IT AT OT!! We are using the excuse of picking games to perform, well we didn't perform at SB

This season was a good opportunity for the team to step up, unfortunately they have decided to step down when it matters. I still feel we will come good someway (not sure where, not really chuffed about the CL, as i don't bank on cup games even Derby can muster a good cup run and come out victorious). Its your league position that determines what you are made of.

If we happen to win the UEFA CL, Great , but i am sure Wenger and most of the Arsenal supporters want to win the league. (We don't want to become like Liverpool: A CUP TEAM ).
