Doncaster huh

Like i keep telling folks, NO ONE FORCED ANYONE TO SUPPORT ARSENAL!! So if you want to join a so called "winning train" like Politicians carpet cross to join the winning party, then be our guest. Jon United and be done with it.

Xsay and Fidodido support the Spuds, are they stupid huh
Toshman and others support Liverpool, are they stupid huh
Doyin supports Pompey, is he stupid huh grin
Somze, akola and nateevs have been supporting the Chavs way before Maureen came, ARE THEY STUPID!? wink grin

Before SAF started winning trophies with Scum United, didn't they have loyal supporters huh

Poor Africans huh So i guess Kolo and Ade are not good players, or Alex song wasn't considered one of te best players for the Cameroon bteam at the just concluded Nations cup huh As for Eboue grin

Now Lehman talks, the same Lehman that would give his right leg to still be at Arsenal FC huh or is there another one. huh

"Ousted from the Arsenal team by Manuel Almunia in August, his appearances have been restricted. But from the bench he has watched his teammates and studied Arsene Wenger, a manager he considers to be among the "greats"

I guess your own Jens Lehman must be a different person huh

Players who left!? HAS HLEB LEFT? Or you saw him leave in a dream huh Last time i checked mate, he was still an Arsenal player (and until your dream is confirmed, he is still an Arsenal player.

WHY DO I BOTHER!! tongue

Leave Cristalz alone with her analogy,

So SAF loaned Rossi out to save his boyhood club huh WHAT WON'T I HEAR NEXT!! grin So he finally sold him to Villareal to do what grin SAVE THEM AS WELL!! cheesy cheesy

Flamini had 1 bloody good season (which no one expected) and his contract was up, the lad decided he wanted to move, WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL huh Heinze was still in contract with the Scum, yet he wanted to leave to go to Liverpool huh GO FIGURE!! Mikel signed a contract with Scum United, YET HE WENT TO THE CHAVS!! huh GO FIGURE!!

"Rossi was not on the first team.Flam,Vieira,Henry,Reyes,Bergkamp,Pires,Ashley were all on the first team.Rossi never even had plans of leaving United till his profile soared when he went to help his old club.He got used to the limelight and didn't want to come back to being a little in the shadows. How does that compare to your players who were already first team stars? Dissatisfied first team stars. They had it all except the trophies and enough pay. So they left"

huh I can't even bother myself to responding to this.

Paddy stayed 9 years inspite of what huh WOMAN DON'T MAKE US LAUGH!! So Dennis Bergy also decided to end his career at Arsenal inspite of what  huh Anyways, let me just indulge you, as you feel we should have kept Aliadiere huh Did he score more goals than Bendthner, is he better than Walcot, Like we keep telling Ruudie (Ali's fantasy Boy Friend), if anyone rated him, WHY IS HE NOT AT A BIGGER CLUB THAN BORO huh

Arsene is stingy huh How does that bother you huh Has Arsenal lost any major key player huh Or now Flamini is the be all and end all of Arsenal FC huh

Rossi was loaned out to save his Childhood club, what a funny one cheesy cheesy cheesy

Debo cool

I don't know why you waste your time with Nightrider, like every other person, if he is not happy supporting Arsenal he should Bleep off to bedlum!! IS IT BY FORCE TO SUPPORT A TEAM huh There are 19 other teams in the Prem and like 50 other teams in the World, if the dude is having problems with Arsenal FC, he should go to somewhere his views will be adhered too. SHOO huh DEM BEG AM TO BE GUNNER!! huh

It just shows how some folks don't really know anything about the club, when Arsenal went unbeaten in the league, didn't we have a thin squad huh This season was no different, looking at it critically, we lost only 3 games, and didn't lose at home, what killed us were the constant draws (especially those 4 draws in a row).

In the UCL, we were denied a clear decision, which changed the outlook of the game. The only comps we were clearly beaten are in the FA Cup and Carling Cup, where we had no chance.

Its a very thin line between success and failure, Chelsea had things within their sight, but a last minute loss of concentration let Emile Heskey in to pop their dreams (the fact that they also drew against Bolton didn't go amiss). The Scum had that championship luck and drive to cross the finish line and kudos to them for winning their 10th title, but any gunner will be satisfied with the effort the boys put in, knowing that they will push themselves that extra mile next season.

People talk about buying so and so huh Like you asked, didn't Liverpool buy through out the season huh Didn't Spurs out buy us through out the season, Didn't Chelsea buy players as well, How about Man City huh Do i even talk about Pompey, DIDN'T THEY ALL BUY PLAYERS!? huh

Buying players is not the only solution, the main stuff is to look at where we had deficiencies and try to correct them. If the existing players can improve, like Cesc/Hleb in his shooting, Ade in his first touch skills, Kolo in his defending, Clicy on his focus, and so on, then add quality players to replace the ones that have gone, i.e. Flamini and Lehman.

Coupled with the fact that if RVP, Dudu, and Rozzi can stay fitter next season, and taking into consideration that some players are coming back from loan spells, specifically Carlos Vela from Spain, i feel that any addition has to be worth it, and not just for the sake of it. I expect 2 additions to the squad (excluding 2 players to replace the exited ones). All in all 4 quality players coming in is good enough for me.

We need to let the other players from the youth ranks step up, players like Fran Merida, M Randall and co (i wouldn't mind if we brought Seb Larsson back from relegated Birmingham, but i doubt Arsene will do that).

Basically, now is the time our team and Gaffer need us to stand behind them, anyone that says that Wenger is not feeling the pressure, is just being plain stupid. The guy described this season as his most disappointing he has ever had, that statement alone should show everyone that the Boss is devestated with the outcome, because he focused all his efforts to win the league (selling off the Carling and FA all in the name of winning back the league).

This team will come back stronger next season, as everyone else will, but we all know where things went wrong, and if the players step up and be counted, then i have no doubt we will be in the thick of things with the best of them. cool

Shush!! tongue If you had your way, you for don ioncrease Ade's salary to 150k sef grin grin (You go even make sure we all donated 500k Naira for every goal he scored and send am the money to show how much we appreciate him grin grin).

Tottenham had a better season than Arsenal cheesy cheesy Who would have thought someone would say that cheesy cheesy Well in reality, the highlight for the Spuds this season was the 5-1 thrashing they gave Arsenal (for their fans it was better than the final itself grin). So all in all, with Bebertov leaving them, and with them finishing like some 40 points behind us in the league, WE SHOULD BE SCARED OF WHAT THEY WILL ACHIEVE NEXT SEASON shocked shocked (I guess winning the Carling Cup is a big motivation to go on and win the UCL and league).

As for Pompey cheesy cheesy

Basically, that statement was the best i have read today.

By the way, i am also enjoying all this, Ade deserves this and that stories huh, The boy has 1 good season and all of a sudden he should be paid 80k cheesy cheesy Na wa oh!! Believe me if Ade was in a team like Milan or Real M, even with his 30 or so goals, he would have been stoned by the fans for all the glaring misses, just like Hleb will see that other footie fans/managers will not be as forgiving of him when ever he makes one of those trademark impossible passes that he is fond of. tongue tongue

If Ade wants that much of an increase, he should go to United.

Don't get me wrong, players should be rewarded for their hard work, but they need to show consistency, let Ade show some improvement next season, and i will personally mail him my salary to join with his own grin grin

TV/MoviesRe: Your Favourite Love Scenes In Movies? by loyika(m): 1:35pm On May 12, 2008
Top 10 (in no particular order)

1, Wesley Snipes and Sanaa L in Disappearing Act (quite realistic scenes)

2, Omar Epps and Sanaa L in Love and Basket Ball (the scene she lost her virginity was quite beautifully done).

3, Spike Lee and Rosie Perez in Do The Right Thing (You need to see it to appreciate it).

4, Banderas and Salma Hayek in Desperado (quite lovely).

5, Banderas and A Jolie in Original Sin (cool).

6, Douglas and Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct (broke the barriers of Hollywood love Scenes).

7, Mickey Rouke and Kim Basinger in 9 and 1/2 weeks (nuff said).

8, Mickey Rouke and Carré Otis in Wild Orchid

9, George Clooney and Jenny Lopez in Out of Sight

10, Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider in Last Tango in Paris (Cinema personified)

HOWEVER WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE SCENES, NOTHING COMPARES TO EUROPEAN FILMS (French, Spanish, Italian and co. They usually beat anything the Americans have to offer, are a very much on the realistic side, although many find their show of nudity too much to handle, and sometimes it gets to the borders of crossing to porn, but the scenes from their films are usually far better in terms of realistic acting compared to the ones that we get from Hollywood tongue

Anyone that gets the chance, watch these

The Wire - Season 1 to 5 (Brilliant show, realistic and humourous, one of the best shows to have come out of the HBO stable behind the Sapranos (and maybe SITC) ).

Nip Tuck - Season 1 to 5 (a bit jaring, but quite humourous, copied some stuff from SITC, but still original. Quite realistic on the vanity of beauty and how many folks are not happy with their inner self).

SITC and 24 are shows that need no mention, as i am sure that everyone has had the chance to watch either 1 of these shows.

Here are my best shows,

I heard Bayern want to bolster their squad by luring Phillipe Senderos from Arsenal to come to Munich, Bayern's president says that after going down like b@tches to a club from Russia, Senderos is the kind of player they need to stop the rot in defence.

Apparently, since the whole arsenal squad is on the verge of leaving the team, they want to be the first to put in their bid for such a promising defender, before other big clubs come in to swoop the talented lad.

Apparently, they are looking at making a bid of 15 million pounds, which they feel is reasonable for a player of Senderos's quality. Regardless to say, Wenger is angry and disappointed, as Senderos was an intergral member of his building project.

The Arsenal manager was quoted as saying; Bleep £$£%6 $%^66 *&&!! And he further went on to say; £$%^%%$^&^$^&&!!

Following this development, one can clearly see the demise in Arsenal FC, as they lose player after player, and one would not be surprised if they finished behind teams like Spurs, blackburn and Newcasatle next season.

Story can be followed here;

That logic is flawed to say the least, Did players like Henry, Vieira, Bergy, Anelka, Cesc Fabregas, and others not get their recognition playing for Arsenal huh

Henry is the player he is BECAUSE HE PLAYED FOR ARSENAL FC.

Cesc fab got his chance to show what he can do at ARSENAL FC.

Dennis B retired from Arsenal as a flipping football Legend.

Paddy V will always be associated with Arsenal.

Kanu N will also be remembered for his time with Arsenal FC.

So what the hell are you on about huh

Everyone wishes Flamini well, and he will always be grateful to Arsene Wenger for what he contributed to his footie knowledge, if he becomes a World Star, fair play to him, the lad deserves it, but a star can come from anywhere, doesn't have to be at a particular club, Berbatov is a star, yet he plies his trade with the flappers at Spurs, SO GO FIGURE MATE!! tongue The only reason he wants to leave is because of the UCL, if Spurs were in the UCL, Le Sulk (2) would not leave the Lilly Whites, and he would still be considered a star!!

Firstly the write up was rubbish tongue (No disrespect to Ibime who i respect on the forum), comparing Henry to Flamini is the biggest insult anyone can give).

Secondly, PLEASE HAS ANYONE SEEN MAJORITY OF GUNNERS EITHER CUSSING FLAMINI OR BLAMING WENGER FOR FLAMINI'S EXIT huh all this interest is coming from the press and folks like Jackal who have nothing else to do than focus on Arsenal tongue Thats how he and his Man Servant went on about an "Imminent take over", till that died down.

Now its "Arsenal will fall apart" and "Mass Exodus in Arsenal", when willyou guys give up this rubbish huh

FLAMINI HAS GONE!! Thats the end of that, can he be replaced!? HELL bleeping YES!! Will he be replaced? DEFINATELY!! So whats all the fuss about, or has Flamini suddenly become Viera huh

Players will move where ever they want, as Jackal even noted, Divino will eventually move to Real M, not because he cannot achieve stuff with United, but because Real M is a bigger club than Scum United, the same way Milan is a biger club than Arsenal, so why shouldn't Flamini take the offer huh

Afterall he did the same thing when he was in France, so why the hue and cry over him going to Milan (after confessing his love for Juve huh huh) THATS LIFE GUYS!!

Theo left Southhampton to come to Arsenal even when Redknapp wanted him to stay longer, Essien forced his move from Lyon to Chelsea, ballack forced his move from Bayern to Chelsea, these things happen.

Look at this situation at Villa;

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article3872782.ece

Will we now say O'neill is not a good manager if Barry leaves Villa for a bigger club huh Thank God Martin O sorted it out;

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/aston_villa/article3882706.ece

As Blogger stated, the AST met with Wenger and this was what was addressed;

"On Flamini, Wenger said that Flamini had left purely because of the
money on offer. He commended the Board for having done the maximum they
could to make Flamini a good offer within sensible limits. Interestingly
he pointed out that one of the risks of having overseas players at the
club is that they are attuned to the concept of moving clubs.

On transfer activity. He said he was looking for a defensive player, to
address the team’s weakness defending route one. He said we defended as
well as Manchester United and Chelsea from set pieces and open play; but
not the long ball aimed down the middle and he would address this. He
also said he wanted a creative player and told Ken Friar that he
shouldn’t plan for much of a holiday as the phone would be busy.

He was very clear that he did not want Hleb to leave. He said that he
was sceptical that the Webster clause would be invoked. (This is
probably a reference to the gentleman’s agreement between clubs not to
do the dirty on each other). In Wengers own words, ‘we have lost one
player and we do not want to lose any more’."

Flamin left on good terms, and he gave his all for the cause, AND EVERY GUNNER APPRECIATES HIS EFFORTS AND WISH HIM WELL, The same way we wished Overmars and Edu well when they left, so whats this rubbish of folks trying to paint another picture huh

Anyways, doomsayers will be more happy with this; cry cry

Players can leave anytime and anywhere, afterall Ketchup boy wanted to leave United to Liverpool of all teams shocked, Brown (who has been quite good this season) dragged out his contract talks till the final moment, so it happens. Are Barca not going to lose most of their players huh WILL THEY CRUMBLE AS A CLUB!?

Thats why having a discussion with you can be boring, you are always biased. Tkb at least tried to be objective in his reply, but as usual, all you say is, ARSENAL IS SHYTE!!

However you see the club, doesn't change gunners view, we have a busy summer ahead of us (which is not new, after all apart from United, which club will not make drastic chnages during thew summer huh).

1, Man City will shop for a new coach.
2, Benitez doesn't know if he is coming or going, same with all the Scousers, what with their take over debacle.
3, Le Sulk (2) Berbatov is leaving the Spuds, and there will be an over haul of the team.
4, Major overhaul in the Chelsea rank, regardless of how they end up in Moscow.
5, Al Fiyad is seriously thinking of abandoning Britain, as that country doesn't favour him one bit.
6. Newcastle huh WHERE DO I BEGIN?.

And the list goes on. SO WHAT IS NEW ABOUT ARSENAL!?

The only clubs that have little to do will be Scum United, Everton, Blacburn and maybe Pompey, as they have a more stable outlook, with the key thing being to bolster their squads for the new season.

Matt Flamini

Now here was a player who truth be told paid his dues when he was asked to play left back following injuries to Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy in our final year at Highbury, the lad played his heart out, helping the team get to the UCL final, but despite folks believing he was dropped for Ashley C, they seem to forget he got injured either when we played Villareal or Juve, i forget undecided and besides A Cole was back, and so he had to play.

Now the season after that, Matt did not really feature, with Berti cementing his place in midfield, now at that time, many felt that the Berti/Cesc partnership did not work properly, and in the cold light of day, i would tend to agree, Berti was wasteful (still is though grin) in his passing, but he contributed with his goals and stability. But all in all he didn't really give Cesc the freedom to roam.

Matt F gave an ultimatum that he was going to walk latest by january transfer window period.

Now Berti went for the COPA and Matt stepped up to deputise, and did the young un take his chance indeed cool. Generally most folks compared Flam to Ray Parlour as the new "Headless Chicken", but this season, he added grit and steel to the team.

Now L Diarra was also gotten at the begining of the season, with the mindset that Flam's contract was up, but here is the clincher.

I honestly believe that Matt made Wenger feel that he was going to sign, and it is this belief that made Arsene have no qualms about selling the complaining Diarra, who was meant to be a replacement for both Flamini and Berti, when they would leave.

Now Flams has followed his agent's advice and gone to the highest bidder (Its all about the money), after declaring his love for Juve as a lad, he went to their rivals Milan grin, shows you how fickle footballers can be tongue tongue

Now people are crying huh over a player, who to be frank, we can replace easily.

Berti with this departure will stay to add experience (never wanted to leave in the first place, but felt he was being pushed, what with the Flam issue, and Gallas captaincy).

There are other suitable replacements out there, folks like Gareth Barry comes to mind, but make no doubt about it, Wenger will get someone better than Flamini to fill up that void, as he has seen that he needs someone to cover Cesc, for Cesc to work effectively (and do what he does best). Some folks are thinmking Yaya Toure fits that bill huh undecided not sure of that, Yaya T to me fits tha Paddy V mode, and besides, i doubt he would want to leave Barca now, but hopefully Kolo could have a word in his ear if the Managerwas interested.

All in all, every gunner wishes Flamini well in Italy and with milan, the guy really gave his best, still feel he sold Arsene short, but no one can hold it against him, at least he wasn't as stupid as ashley Cole and Alex Hleb, which brings me to Hleb.

FLAMINI IS GONE, HE CAN BE REPLACED, AND WILL BE!! cool

Hleb is also discussed here, so no need to adress his issue. He might be hard to replace interms of his playing style, but he can be replaced by a more effective player like Nico Krancjer cool But seriously, i believe Hleb will be around for 1 more season, unless Inter can come to some agreement with Arsene.

Over to Arsene and his policy cool

Sometimes i wonder if you guys just support a football team with your balls huh

All this talk huh as if when given a chance any of you lot can do better huh

Lets put all this bull crap in its proper perspective and enough of the emotional melodramatics going on in this thread.

PART 1

Arsenal for a 3rd season are going to be trophyless, following the last success with the 2005 F.A. cup and the gradual dismantling of the "Invincibles".

Over time our style of play has evolved from the "Bang!! Bang!!" approach of Bergy, Paddy V and Henry, to the "Pass!! Pass!!" approach of Cesc, Ade and Hleb. Now if you have been following Arsenal for a while, the change in approach would be better appreciated, as its usually hard to get replicate players all the time (A'la Diaby meant to replace Paddy).

Now in our final season at Highbury we came fourth as the Spuds bottled the final day game to luckily hand us a Champ league place, that season we also had the chance to win the big one, but went down to the best team at that time in Barca.

2007 season, We moved to our new stadium, which affected us in a big way (Anyone that has been following the proposed issues with Liverpool, chelsea and the Spuds in terms of moving stadia, would appreciate what we were able to achieve with this, interms of our team still being able to compete, even when we were at the bare bones financially, with everything dedicated to making the stadia move a success).

We lost players like Reyes (no fault of Wenger, as Mama's boy didn't really light up at madrid the way he thought he would, even after scoring the winning goal to secure them the title), where does he even play now huh Anyways, we also got rid of Cygan and during the course of the season Lauren left.

In came in Rosicky, who many felt was a brilliant buy following his exploits at the WC and one or 2 others, in that season we came fourth again, this time on goal difference behind Liverpool ( undecided). We had a good run to the Carling cup, losing out to an experienced Chelsea team.

Now in both occasions we finished way below the top 2 teams in terms of points.

Move on to 2008 season, we had a very good start to say the least, in that time we signed Eduardo, and Sagna (who we all will accept were brilliant buys, especially Bakari cool).

Now we are about to end our current campaign in third position, with 83 points behind Chelsea and United, who could end up 4 points higher than us. which shows we are heading in the right direction in terms of closing the gap with the top 2 teams in Man united and Chelsea (although we sold ourselves short in the Cup Comps).

Granted we bottled the final lap, but shyte happens, the lads will learn from this and push on, as long as we are challenging again, unlike in 2006 and 2007 where we were being left behind, its fine with me, eventually we will come good.

However, we got tonked in the Carling cup by Spurs and in the FA Cup by the Scum, WE ALL KNOW HOW THE UCL ENDED UP, so no need to talk about these comps. Like i keep saying, ITS A CUP COMPETITION, all you need for these is a good run (a la Cardiff), its not rocket science to win a Cup Comp, so i have no worries about these sort of Comps, the league is what shows you whether you are really making progress or not. And taking a cue from the last 2 seasons, WE ARE! We might be a bit short of where we all want to be, but the team has made progress. All we need is that extra push that turns that into a winning team again.

In that space of time, some players stepped up their game, Cesc, Ade, Walcot, Song, Clichy to name them exactly.

Ok Wormy, Hypia didn't deserve a pen, same way Hleb didn't deserve a pen huh

First things first, don't get it twist bro, CHELSEA HAS NO CLASS!! That fact is not in dispute (this is why i hate all this solidarity bullsh@t tongue tongue).

Compared to the other 3 of Liverpool, Arsenal and United, WHAT FLIPPING PEDIGREE ARE YOU ON ABOUT!! You forget that as much as you could land a double this season, you could also end up with zilch, so before you book that hotel and the strippers for your trophy celebration, think over that fact.

What Chelsea has done this season is commendable, that cannot be taken away from them, but apart from if you win the UCL, what else will you have done that Arsenal hasn't (at this juncture you will mention Cup Winners right huh).

Anyways got to run off right now, will deal with this some more with you on monday, so hold that thought.

Somze huh

For someone that has been an advocate for Avram G, that question shouldn't come up.

Truth be told, as much as it hurts that Chelscum might be the first London club to win the CL (and the odds favour a Chelski win), i really have no qualms. There ain't no gunner that i know of that wasn't happy that the Pool got a taste of their own medicine, with Hypia being denied a clear pen which could have turned the game around.

Anyways, Congrats to you guys and good luck against the Scumtwats. Would be wonderful if you could grab the league as well, but those Scummies have the wind behind their sails and they play Curbs at OT (and trust Alan to bend over for Fergie tongue tongue although the game could end up being drawn if the players can be bothered lipsrsealed WE SHALL SEE!!).

All in all, anyone that wins anything deserves it, we gunners do not shun success, we actually would love it if our team was involved, but alas you can't change reality. So if Chelscum can achieve the double, fair play to all you Chavs and Gezzers (afterall The Spuds won something and the world didn't go bang, so i think we can all live with Agberos and conductors screaming; THE BLUESSSSSSSSSSSS!! For at least 3 months before the league starts off again grin grin grin)

Frankly, ya'll Chelsea fans in naija seem to annoy the Manc supporters far more than the Arsenal ones undecided (Maybe its because most Chelscum fans are ex Gunners grin grin so we tend to see stuff with you guys from a far more humourous perspective grin).

LETS SEE WHERE THE PENDULUIM WILL SWING IN THE NEXT 3 WEEKS SHALL WE!! grin grin

Mavtrevor huh

Far from it mate, we are not against Dayo supporting anyone. We are just giving him a taste of what he dishes out, i would believe everyone knows those facts, even Mr Dayo K, but he usually has amnesia when ever someone else's club gets tonked.

Imagine if Arsenal were beaten by that team shocked Dayo would bring the house down with posts, so if he can dish it, he should be prepared to eat it as well.

Anyways, its all for fun grin grin

cool GOONER 89

P.S. Who would you expect folks living in Derby to support again mate huh Teams in London!? If you didn't know, those teams started off as local teams, and started growing from there, so there is always a local element of fans that were born and bred with those teams, so it would be silly to think they could some how start supporting another team from God knows where, so your point (concerning scorelines) doesn't really hold water (they might admire another team, and have them as their second team, but their loyalty will still be for their local team).

Its like someone being a naija person, even if you get citizenship (whether by birth or acquired) for jand, dem white guys will still see you as an African, its only for your fellow Kunta Kinte brothers that you can come and pose that you are a citizen of so and so grin grin
