The Economist on point again. GEJ's failures are too glaring but for the discerning. No more no less. |
SeverusSnape:Why are you without integrity Mr. Snake? What lie has Prof. Osinbajo spoke? Read: The administrations of Murtala/Obasanjo, Obasanjo/Yar’Adua, Shagari/Ekwueme and Buhari/Idiagbon refused to sign to Nigeria’s full membership of the OIC despite pressure and intense lobbying. They maintained that Nigeria is a secular state and not an Islamic country. A French news agency reported that Nigeria was admitted into the OIC as its 46th member in January 1986. Ebitu Ukiwe, then a Navy Commodore and second in command to the then Military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, had it rough with that administration when he declared publicly that the decision to join OIC was not discussed at any level of government. Mr. Ukiwe’s denial of the decision reportedly led to his forceful exit from government. General Sani Abacha maintained Nigeria’s membership despite calls for withdrawal from various groups. There have been calls to withdraw Nigeria’s OIC membership but as at this day, Nigeria remains a full member of the OIC, and the President appoints delegates to represent Nigeria at OIC conferences. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was the head of Nigeria’s delegation to the OIC Islamic Summit in February 2013. Please see the full delegation list in the image below, and the complete attendance list on the OIC website here. https://factchecki.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Screen-Shot-2015-01-05-at-6.57.49-PM.png http://factchecki.ng/question/did-buhari-make-nigeria-join-the-organisation-of-islamic-countries-oic/ |
https://punch.cdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Soyinka.jpg Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, declared on Thursday that no one should vote for the continuation of President Goodluck Jonathan’s government, saying that there has been a total failure in leadership. He said he has sixty reasons not to vote for the Jonathan regime. “I will not vote and I will not encourage anyone to vote for the continuation of this government, simply because your colleagues numbering over two hundred were kidnapped,” Soyinka told students at the 2015 edition of Vision of the Child (VOTC), a yearly programme inaugurated in 2012. He said the Chibok girls kidnapped on 14 April of last year were sent on a mission to acquire an education, but ended up being kidnapped. https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/chibok-names.jpg “And the government of this nation failed to show leadership. So anyone who says after that event that I will vote or cast my vote or encourage anyone to vote for this regime must be living in Sambisa forest,” Soyinka said, referring to a forest in Borno State where the Chibok girls are believed to be held by Boko Haram. “There has been a failure of leadership. Our children whom you represent today have been betrayed,” Soyinka said, adding that no appropriate action was taken to retrieve them. Soyinka said it took the Jonathan government ten days to even accept that https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Patience-crying.jpg “After that dereliction of duty, after that failure of leadership, after that betrayal for our future, for anyone to think or to put words in my mouth suggesting that I will vote or encourage anyone to vote for this regime is a travesty of intelligence,” Soyinka said. Soyinka laughed off those who had claimed on the social media that he was dead, telling journalists at the event that they should not misquote him. If they do, he added, he will rise from the dead to correct them. The 2015 edition of Vision of the Child has for theme “The Road to Sambisa”. This year, a total of 250 student participants from 60 primary and secondary schools within Lagos attended the interview. The age bracket for the participants was 9 to 12 years. Their entries were assessed by a panel of eminent judges comprising teachers, artists, child carers and social workers. The finalists will be invited on the 7 March to the National Conversation Foundation Park. Lekki, and provided with brush, paint and easel, and will be required to illustrate their literary presentation in the complementary medium painting. This year, 60 finalists were drawn from 35 schools within Lagos State, said Foluke George, Festival Secretary and Programme Manager for the Vision of the Child. http://newsrescue.com/terrorists-sambisa-cast-votes-jonathan-soyinka/#axzz3Qtxup826 |

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), has a plan to Islamise the country. Osinbajo, who met with professionals in an interactive session in Warri, said Buhari had refused to give in to pressure to get Nigeria into the Organisation of Islamic Countries between 1984 and 1985 when he was Head of State. A statement on Thursday quoted the senior Advocate of Nigeria as saying that it was Buhari’s successor, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, that enlisted Nigeria into IOC through military fiat in 1986. Apart from Babangida, he pointed out that the only other Nigerian head of state that had attended the IOC summit was President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party. The APC vice-presidential candidate said those accusing Buhari of being a Muslim fundamentalist and campaigner of Islamisation of Nigeria were distorting history. Osinbajo said, “Throughout his period as military head of state, Buhari was under intense pressure to drag Nigeria into the IOC, but he never yielded because he respects Nigeria as a secular state in line with the constitution. Besides his cook and driver are Christians “When Gen. Babangida eventually dragged Nigeria into IOC, none of the successors ever attended any of its meeting because they know to Islamise Nigeria is very difficult as you need to first get the constitution amended. That process, you know, is almost impossible. “But it is on record that in 2013, President Jonathan, undermining the constitutional limitation, ensured that Nigeria attended an IOC meeting.” Osinbajo also visited the Chief Tuesday Onoge-led faction of the Urhobo Progress Union, where he talked on the imperative for men of integrity to lead Nigeria. http://www.punchng.com/news/osinbajo-accuses-jonathan-of-islamising-nigeria/#sthash.vw8tX3GH.dpuf |
We want to see the actual report that PwC submitted not some newspaper reportage. This is likely to be GEJ's govt leaking this info to do damage control. Who are they deceiving. Some people will still act as if $1.5Billion is mai mai. |
Remarkable:Read this. Its an earlier post that your eyes may have avoided for reasons best known to you. Here goes.... On this thread --> https://www.nairaland.com/2124030/ongoing-boko-haram-attack-maiduguri/1 where we were having our usual opposing views on GEJs failures in Insecurity: The relevant part started like this: agabaI23:I responded: LRNZH:Your response: agabaI23:Wow! You smoothly took up the David Mark discussion without batting an eyelid. Any other person would state that David Mark is not his/her direct problem but you did not. You behaved as the typical Idoma would, asking for a solution to the 'David Mark' problem. Skipping irrelevant parts: LRNZH:
This was your eventual response: agabaI23:Why would you answer a question conclusively about Benue State with fulani attacks and Audu Ogbeh in it if you're not from that area? That's proof that you have a significant stake in that state. We continued (skipping irrelevant parts to this you're Idoma discussion): LRNZH:And you responded thus: agabaI23:Again, for the third time you responded to a question on your homeland convincingly without disputing that it is your homeland. This Freudian slip is one too many. If you are not Idoma, we would not have the discussion on issues affecting the Idoma for so long in an unrelated thread. I know quite much about the Idomas because of certain interactions I had with them back in the day and because I follow Nigeria politics no matter the region. However, if someone out of the blues asks me about them, I shall state what I know and why I know so much. If the person is assuming I'm from there, I'll be clear in my responses that I'm not. Post 2 of this TSUNAMI is so brutal that you have resorted to denying your tribe. Brother, that is sacrilege if you ask me. Many other minority tribes on Nigeria share similar issues. Allow your conscience to prick you so that you guys can work the Idoma solution harder. APC is a viable option for you guys but PDP is not as proven time and again. |
Exactly the reason why GEJ and pdp are mulling an election postponement. They will have another #OccupyNigeria in their hands if they try it. |
After all the colossal errors GEJ had committed thus far, he wishes to add election annulment/cancellation/postponement to his résumé. Nigerians from the Niger Delta should be the first to oppose him. GEJ's unfortunate antecedents will rub off on the SS region badly in the memory of Nigerians for a very long time. What makes it even more unfortunate is that GEJ is not among the top 20 Nigerians from the Niger Delta that have the intellect and acumen to be Nigeria's President. Talk about wasted opportunities. |
Matthewbriggs:Would I expect you not to do damage control as a GEJite? No. I didn't need to under promise because I was sure of performing and I have. Read the comments before yours. I'm sorry that you miss over 70% of the context of the discourse here. Your post exposed your ignorance. Agaba123 is the antagonist here. He has a thread where he listed some points that he insisted and kept appealing I must respond to. I only responded to his points. This is just a quid pro quo thread. Maybe you'll get it maybe you won't. I wasn't doing a laundry list of PDP/GEJ's failures otherwise , I would have included more numerous points and 10,000 words would be miserly to do justice to such a topic. THE TSUNAMI is so apt because it washed away a lot of PDP debris. The regular GEJites who come to spill nonsense have avoided this thread like a plague. Only those who felt they could contribute something to the discourse have left posts so far. This is not your regular run of the mill thread. Finally, agaba123 has been unable to wriggle from the Idoma story because it is very true. It is clear that being Idoma and pro PDP is not expedient at all. The stark nature of the reality is the reason he has attempted to deny his heritage. He is battling with his conscience and that was the intent. |
agabaI23:Haha @4 days. I saw your thread around 6am yesterday and I promised to respond within 24 hours with THE TSUNAMI which I have dutifully done by 1am today (as attested to by other posters). Are you shifting the goal post or what? I shall respond to your response and jmaine's even though I'm not obliged to. The logic you rely upon is all over the place. I am responding only for your effort. Your new link is irrelevant to this discussion until you prove otherwise. At the moment, I'm making money like I elucidated in THE TSUNAMI. When I'm disposed, I shall offer you two my response. Making NL posts is not my source of income. And you can't wrigle out of the overwhelming evidence that you're Idoma. That explains your emotion all over that post. Take it easy please. It is just a discourse. |
agabaI23:OK now you're emotional. The intent wasn't to rile you up. But the truth has to be told sometimes. You started the name calling with a dedicated thread. I gave you facts and logic and you're getting worked up. Since this is your final and best answer, I will let you and your friend theV0ice enjoy your banter.... ![]() However, the lesson is learnt I believe. Not everyone is stoopid on NL. Edit: After a long wait, I see you have made a feeble attempt (to me, looks like a lot of work for you) to address the issues. Just for the effort, I shall address you and Jmaine's response in one go. I'm indisposed at the moment but its coming for sure. |
jmaine:If I don't disappoint a GEJite when it comes to current national discourse then I am not being true to my political views. GEJ is a colossal failure. Surprise. Surprise. I'd prefer GEJ bottoms out fast so that the cleanup of his mess can commence ASAP. It is obvious you can't contribute much to this discourse with your selected responses, edited misquotes and low level logic. I'd take it that agaba123 ( the Idoma man) and maybe other GEJites can do justice to THE TSUNAMI. I'm still waiting ........ |
jmaine:Nope. In that post, I added an edit, not modify the post. I appended to it. Quote the whole post and state your interpretation of the edit if you so wish. Maybe you do not really understand what integrity means. |
blym4real: EdCure:At this juncture, It appears to be one shot - two kills ![]() |
jmaine:Quote me in full then give the context in which you think I posted. You're doctoring my comments and that's an integrity issue already. I have shown evidence of agaba123 Idoma heritage. Just read up the thread. Should I expect anything different from you than denial? If you can doctor my posts then I can't believe your assertions for face value. |
jmaine:Sorry but I'm not impressed. Your arguments are not worth the kind of brain cells I would dedicate to a discussion of this nature. You are basically asking me to repeat my post with more explanations. Doesn't cut it for me.. For eg. stating that gas pipeline bunkering is solely due to vandalism. This is the only excuse GEJs govt bandy around for failure in the power sector. Please who bunkers gas pipeline abeg? Whats the economic benefit of such a very high risk enterprise? There's no significant gas pipeline vandalism. It's a lie. Period. For you to argue points like this makes it worthless to have an in depth discussion with you. I would just be repeating myself. I have no time for that. PS: when quoting someone next time do not ommit parts of the quote like you did in my Boko Haram post. You will not be taken seriously. |

agabaI23:Not so fast dude..... I will post our exchange on that thread as is so that it will be clear where you unwittingly accepted that you were Idoma. Just be patient... |
agabaI23:Long story. Let's read your retort. That's what matters now. |
Sagamite:Let's put it out for everyone to see. Myself, I campaigned for GMB back in 2011 when it became apparent that the clueless retardeen was squandering our reserves for electoral favors before the 2011 elections. GEJ's Profile by Sagamite in 2011 Sagamite: |

jmaine:Derail ke? This is the dumb thread in question --> https://www.nairaland.com/2079867/buhari-chartered-planes. It is there for anyone to go confirm how you dabbled into the defence of a worthless topic. Since you have time to banter with me, I expect you to be more productive by taking up my challenge. Waiting for agaba123 might be tales by moonlight o... |
jmaine:Alright. Go and form your TANoid voltron and return. This your diplomatic move will be unraveled soon. I hope you don't make the mistake you made when you joined words with me on a dumb rozayx5 thread. Remember that one? agaba123 was so passionate about this issue to start a thread on it. I even promised him a response to his thread within 24hrs. I have since commented on his thread to alert him. I expect him to come see if my response is available considering that the 24 hrs I promised has elapsed since 6am. Boy is nowhere to be found. ![]() |
jmaine:Go ahead and puncture while we await the man on AWOL. I have given you the right of first refusal. |
jmaine:Even you? Beat a retreat? More Loooolz. Too hot for jmaine ![]() |
ayukdaboss:I am surprised. They peep and take off..... Anyway, its OK . I hope they learn from this episode. |

This is typical GEJites, TANoids and PDP behaviour. They call others out and insult them. When replied with hard facts and analysis, they chicken out. A certain agaba123 started a thread calling me out. I responded (link below) as promised and the clown has beat it overwhelmed by the analysis. Not even other GEJites would help him out. https://www.nairaland.com/2128856/lrnzh-responds-tsunami-agaba123 |
