omanzo02:Speaking of sympathy votes. Do you realise that alot of undecided voters are miffed by the election postponement? They are tilting towards GMB/APC who have recognised this trend and will woo them in droves. PDP has goofed big time. |
size40:But stealing is not corruption nwanne. |
There's a Make we kill am? Press like for yes. ![]() |
We shall stay calm and wait out the 6 weeks. Lets see how the criminal PDP will attempt to steal our Presidential seat come March 28. Nigeria, Sai Buhari |
Yes Yes. This same thought made a lot of GMB/APC supporters to calm down and react more strategically to the dumb move by PDP. GEJ/PDP may attempt to get GMB disqualified or even assassinated.. They may withold opposition states funds. They may use the DSS and other arms of the security to terrorise the opposition. They will only be digging their electoral loss hole. We already know that Boko Haram is the lamest excuse to pospone elections. We also know that this move has angered a lot of undecided voters. APC just needs to keep campaigning and wooing these undecided voters because they are now available for the picking almost effortlessly. Ultimately, no further election postponement is possible unless the May 29th handover date is shifted since the constitution stipulates elections be held at least 30 days before swearing in. PDP/GEJ have truly boxed themselves in a corner from a strategic standpoint. |
Tension is brewing in the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa State over a plot to remove its Chairman, Col. Sam Inokoba (retd.,) over his alleged involvement in the diversion of N70m presidential campaign fund. The fund, it was learnt, was allegedly provided by the Minster of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to support the party at hosting President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign rally in Yenagoa last Friday. Those plotting Inokoba’s removal accused him of allegedly diverting N40m out of the N70m provided for the party. The party boss was also accused of taking a substantial share from the remaining N30m unknown to the members of the State Working Committee of the party. The move to remove Inokoba is already creating palpable tension between his loyalists and aides of Governor Seriake Dickson. Those calling for the removal of the chairman attributed the collapse of Inokoba during the presidential rally to the supposed pressure created over the alleged fund diversion. The discovery that the amount given to the party was N70m and not N40m, blew open during the PDP presidential rally which was attended by Diezani. Attempts to get Inokoba to react to the allegation were not successful as several calls to his mobile phone rang out. http://www.punchng.com/news/court-orders-service-on-jonathan-in-fresh-disqualification-suit/ |
ilugunboy:However put, they are a failure |
Bayswater:The only takeaway from your post is that you agree GEJ is clueless and you want to drag Wammako to his level by all means. |
BackDatAssUp:And the flies show up.......buzzzzzzz |
barcanista:I hold a different opinion. These people and agencies that you quote have been summoned by the senate in the past. Did anything meaningful come out of the hearings? I dear say no. The reps can waste their time and go through the route you listed or jump the nonsense and speak directly with PwC. It is mind boggling that between $10Billion and $20Billion in dispute (even attested to by NOI herself), has become $1.48Billion. I am with the reps on this one. |
I wonder if it is inferiority complex or out of memory loss that we hold on to some of our opinions. The US Senate had summoned Nuhu Ribadu in the past as a witness while debating 'EXAMINING THE U.S. - NIGERIA RELATIONSHIP IN A TIME OF TRANSITION'. Nuhu Ribadu was not bound by any US laws but he honoured the invitation. To chide our reps for wanting to hear PwC's response is myopic. So long as PwC runs businesses in Nigeria and has audited Gov't agencies in the past, it is only in good faith and makes smart business judgement to honour an invitation by any arm of Nigeria's govt. We do not need a constitutional right to summon PwC. |
Ngwakwe:Simply put, you are now drawn into interpreting a report you have just admitted to not seeing the details of. This is exactly what we do not want in our polity. There is no gainsay in hearsay accounts. Ngwakwe or AGF can only give their views but not their interpretations foisted on us all. Let us all read the report and put a conclusive end to it. |
Ngwakwe:Even you are yet to see that report. You have no basis for claiming it is uninterpretable by the general public, the legislature or the SANs in Nigeria. We are opposed to being spoonfed especially by a govt proven to be driven by kleptomaniacs through and through. Let us see the report and debate on it. It is far easier than the AGF's interpretations for 168million people, casting aspersions and going to court to enforce FOI unless someone has something to hide. At least $1.48Billion is proven missing but no word from the Presidency. Too much foul smell in this saga to let it die down without further scrutiny. |
Quite small a jet. This is an example of how they will lead Nigeria prudently and efficiently. Not 11 jumbo jets, running the 3rd largest airline in Nigeria for one clueless man that postpones elections. |
Ngwakwe:I can surmise that you prefer the AGF's intepretation of the PwC report than for it to be read and debated out in the open. So unwitting of a disposition. cc: lalasticlala, isholove, obinoscopy, maclatunji, oam4j |
We need to see the actual report. See AGF acting like Nigerians are illiterate. |
BackDatAssUp:LOL.... We have been hearing that Igbos and Niger Delta are one. Ebelemi Azikiwe all mixed in the unholy potpouri. You're Igbo. Stop living in denial. |
SweetSoup:Did you not read how the funds for INEC (~N75Billion or so) were delayed until January, 2015? PDP has been stiffling alot of Govt agencies including EFCC and INEC of funds since time immemorial. No funds, how will Jega operate? I won't blame the man to be honest. He is workig within the purview of his powers and common sense. The former is quite restricted. |
https://newsrescue.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/20-billion.jpg The chairman of the House of Representative Committee on Public Accounts and Senatorial Candidate of APC for Lagos West Hon. Solomon Adeola have faulted the forensic audit report by Price Water Coopers on the missing NNPC $20billion as submitted to President Goodluck Jonathan and commented on by the Auditor General of the Federation, Mr. Ukura Samuel. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Ikeja as part of his campaign for Lagos West Senatorial District, Hon. Solomon Adeola said the Auditor General has no locus standi to comment on the audit report as he was not the one that appointed the firm of Price Water House Coopers in the first place and would not have been privy to the terms of reference and rules of engagement given to the auditing firm adding that Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives is going to summon the auditing firm on the details of their report when the House resumes after the elections. “The Auditor General did not appoint the auditing firm that submitted the report. What he gave the public in his press conference is a summarized version of the report and not the full report. We in the House Committee will be requesting for the full report. The firm was appointed by the Ministry of Finance and not the Auditor General ” he stated adding that as far as the House is concern the report raised more questions that answers to the missing Nigerian money. The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee said the House need to know the details of how out of $20billion, NNPC was only indicted for $1.48billion adding that Nigerians would want to know the details of what happened to the balance of $18.52billion in clear terms. “One is not surprised that the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Deiziani Alison-Madueke has quickly ordered payment of the acknowledged missing $1.48billion as this look an easy way to bury the issue but Nigeria demand full accountability on this vexed issue” he said. The APC Lagos West Senatorial candidate told the Ikeja LGA stakeholders that as the seat of the Lagos State Government, they are the most enlighten in Lagos State and should not make the mistake of sending a novice to represent them at the senate adding that with 12 years of cognate experience in legislative business he is best placed to represent them at the Senate. http://newsrescue.com/missing-nnpc-20-billion-reps-summon-price-water-coopers/#axzz3R5pZvIyW |
elipheleh:How can you call someone I.D.I.O.T! and preach Jesus Christ to the same person? You can't serve God and Mammon. |
My question to you OP is: IF BH is not crushed in 6 weeks should elections be postponed further? Don't insist on BH must be crushed in 6 weeks as your response. |
GEJ wants to replace sharp eye with sleeper. SMH. |
Election postponement on grounds of Boko Haram is a flawed argument. Boko Haram has been in control of 17 out of 774 (abi na 777) LGs. Is that enough to stop a national process? Party primaries went ahead, election registration went ahead....etc etc. The military claims to have captured territories from BH. Why is the govt still talking about 17 LGs under BH caliphate? Someone is lying. If in 6 weeks, they cannot crush Boko Haram in totality, at what point is it ok to hold the elections? 15, 10, 5 or 2 LGs under BH caliphate? We are being deceived. Jega's hands are tied. I won't blame him. Any elections now will only send people to their graves because PDP will create chaos to prove Jega wrong. Knowing this dumb govt, they will commit a huge blunder and it will be downhill for Nigeria from there. OBJ foisted this irresponsible set of humans on us. |
masseratti:No yarn that crap abeg.... I do not support a military takeover. OP is stating that from a tactical perspective, the present govt is opening itself up for a military takeover. It is a warning they should heed. Using BH to postpone elections is flawed and nearly everyone recognises that. Nothing should stop the March 28 date neither should Jega be booted out. Or else...... |
Lets keep watching. Day1.... Nothing dey happen yet o.... Election postponement on grounds of Boko Haram is a flawed argument. Boko Haram has been in control of 17 out of 774 (abi na 777) LGs. CyberTerrorist:In your defense, you focus on the irrelevant. Name calling, discussing issues, accusations and counter accusations are all part of partisan politics depending on the intellect of those concerned. My point to you is the least you can do is to keep quiet on the election postponement, using the military to muscle Jega and plans to force him out. The far reaching impact of scuttling the democratic process will not affect APC supporters only. As you chose to support GEJ, be mindful of where that support stops being expedient. |
GEJ= FAIL |
CyberTerrorist:Please do not sacrifice the future of your children on the altar of partisanship. These people are mortgaging your future and you're unwittingly supporting them. |
OP, Put this on your initial post https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cYlMAEybm4 cc: Lalasticlala, Obinoscopy, Ishilove, OAM4J, Maclatunji |
F22RAPTOR:The thing is they are not very smart. They will commit one blunder and the country will start boiling. Nigerians keeping mum about the postponement is giving them a long rope to hang themselves with. GEJ will mess up big time. Mark this post. |
phlemzy:You have spoken with reason, logic and common sense. These are severely lacking in GEJ's govt. They will do the unthinkable even when you'd swear they can't stoop that low. Just speaking from experience. |
