Ndi Igbo need to spread their bets. Relying on GEJ and PDP alone is hedging their bets on one option alone. If that ship sinks, they go down en masse. Sticking with GEJ/PDP has killed APGA. They should have joined APC during the coalition and had a say in choosing positions within APC. The worst part is the Igbos are encouraging the tagging of GEJ's presidency as an Igbo one. The implications are profound- no Igbo Presidency again after GEJ until it goes round all other geopolitical zones. This is extremely foolish by all standards. If GMB wins, which is likely, the Igbos may have politically checkmated themselves by sticking to GEJ/PDP. GMB needs SE votes as much as they need him and APC. I suggest Ohanaeze or APGA gets into some secret understanding with GMB and APC for this elections. Thats a sure banker presidency for GMB with about 45 million SE votes. This way they get something meaningful out of all these. Edit: SE has ~7 Million Eligible Voters not 45 Million. Na typo. ![]() GMB 2015 On Course. |
naijaking1:I am disappointed that an intelligent analyst like you is accepting rumours as statements of fact, and for not seeing the big picture. My responses in bold brown: 1. After spending more than 20billion naira of his state's money for Buhari, Amaechi was the first to accuse Wike of embezzaling 3.5 billion naira as education minister, so that when someone eventually realized the political need to make the accusation against Amaechi it was simply drowned out. Even PDP cannot stick to a single number in their allegations against Amaechi. Is it 17 or 30 Billion Naira? Since nobody knows, there is no case here. It may well be nothing. Leave Amaechi alone until you have concrete evidence. 2. The GEJ team consistently forgets to seen the joint attacks of OBJ and the APC team; from the Tambuwal as speaker to questioning the president's honesty and leadership, echoed by Sanusi at the CBN, El-Rufai as a CBN contractor, and then OBJ joining the chorus. If all these men from diverse background are attacking GEJ, why don't you guys sit back for once and ask yourselves: maybe they have a point or two. Personally I think your man lacks the mental capacity for the job even if he has good intentions. That's what prompts the various attacks. 3. The GEJ doesn't seem to understand the dangers of these obviously false, but damaging allegations. He waits for a minister of communication interested in chasing his own career as a Nasarawa governor to respond to no avail. What do you expect, when he cannot even identify the proper people to work with? He is surrounded by people at his level of reasoning hence the blunders that keep spewing from his camp. Besides, the subject of many of those attacks are true. 4. Today, OBJ accuses GEJ of squandering oil money, knowing fully well that nobody caused the oil prices to fall. Remember Fashola saying that GEJ is wasting 400,000 barrels of oil a day? Those are messages with zero truth, but designed to confuse the uninformed into thinking that somehow GEJ caused the fall in Nigeria's oil. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is not such a politician to reply to such political sound bites, and she can't. Evidently, GEJ makes no response as we speak. You shock me on this one. OBJ is being honest this time. It is not about who caused the oil price to fall stupi.d. It is about GEJ's govt squandering all monies earned when oil price was around or above $100 per barrel. No other President had had this opportunity. Immediately oil price falls, Okonjo-Iweala starts shrieking. Meanwhile 400,000 barrels is being stolen by GEJ's men (Tompolo etc) daily. It is a well known fact. Even international media asserts this. Oil bunkering under GEJ is unprecedented. That's about $10Billion lost annually. Who is fooling who? 5. GEJ team has yielded the blame territory on security to APC, now it's on the defense, almost accepting blame for Boko Haram. This one is a no brainer. GEJ called Boko Haram his siblings and soft pedalled on this matter for close to two years before taking action. Infact, some people are insinuating GEJ stands to gain from the insurgency (suppressed voters turnout in the NE) hence his laid back demeanour. Have you asked yourself why Obama and the rest of the World are reluctant to help GEJ on this one? 6. Don't forget Mbaka and company, a frenzied priest who was frustrated, because the first lady couldn't return his phone calls. All of a sudden, he is receiving demonic, sorry spiritual messages about Nigeria's political condition. Yet the GEJ has nobody to respond to the crazy priest and his short term admonitions. This one na una business. But indicators show that SE/Ndi Igbo are waking up from the 'Ebele' and 'Azikiwe' trick. I hope they don't fall for GEJ's monetary tricks this time around. 7. The GEJ publicity team needs a make over, because while they are busy delivering messages with bicycles, the APC team delivers its own messages with supersonic jets! APC has intelligent people in their folds. It shows. Period. 8. The GEJ is over relying on the power of incumbency to the detriment of real grass root campaign efforts, and very clearly articulated political messages. There's no forceful organizer of his message out there! What do you expect from someone who had never really won a difficult election? 2011 was his first election and he had OBJ, Nigerians' goodwill and Gov't funds-GEJ depleted ECA badly that period. Times have changed. He is well understood to be incompetent and has lost almost everybody's goodwill. GEJ thinks he'll share N21Billion and end of story. Let him try grassroots campaigning and watch the blunders that will surface. ![]() 9. The president doesn't come across as one of us Nigerians, his laid back attitude and taciturn disposition unfortunately colors him as aloof, and uninterested in the affairs of many Nigerians. Compared to Buhari who had a makeover since last month. Instead of almajiri clothing, Buhari appears in a suit, Igbo, Yoruba, and even Ijaw traditional attires. He spreads pictures making him look a bit more presidential, why can't GEJ photographers do a better job? See my responses in 2, 3 & 8. The guy no sharp and can't identify sharp people to work for him. Of course he's not in touch with the reality of every day Nigerians. This guy is holed up in Aso Rock. I hear he's always drunk before close of business on a daily basis. Its rumours sha. 10. Why do they always show pictures of the president looking confused, uncertain, and even depressed. Psychologically, these facial appearances don't inspire confidence in people looking up to a leader. I doubt if GEJ's true passion is in governance and policy making / execution. He cannot give what's not there. He always appears disinterested. Let's call a spade a spade. I don't see what you guys can do here. 11. What can we do? First, the presidents campaign team should be filled with people who are talented, have fun doing their jobs, and re-located to Otuoke or Yenagoa. The president's re-election campaign head quarters should be re-located to Baylesa and away from Abuja, just like Obama's team was located in Chicago. It will simply help the president separate those looking for their daily meals in Abuja from those who really has an idea of how to make him win. You can try because you want to win at all cost. But the true answer is as follows: Ask yourselves- Is GEJ the right material for the office of the president of Nigeria? I'll be quick to say no. Nigeria is too complex for a disinterested man without the mental capacity to tackle our challenges. You can try window dressing GEJ but the act is wearing thin. Everyone is catching up. I think you guys should abandon ship. GEJ is not salvageable! Be as wise as you analyse my friend. Shalom to you. GMB 2015 On Course

https://ynaija.com/politico/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Elliot-Uko-Blueprint-NG.jpg MAJORITY of South-East and Igbo votes may not go to President Goodluck Jonathan in the February 14 presidential polls contrary to expectations unless the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) takes the complaints of the zone seriously, Founder of the Igbo Youth Movement (IYM) and Deputy Secretary of the Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), Evangelist Elliot Uko, has said. To make amends and continue to enjoy the support of the Igbo, Uko urged President Jonathan to unveil his plans and blueprint and what he had done for the zone in the last six years. In an interview with Vanguard, Uko said the polls would be fierce but assured that ‘’This time around, Ndigbo will vote right, we have learned painfully over the years that if we vote right, it will be well for everybody. Ndigbo do not want to make mistakes any more.’’ Asked if Ndigbo might abandon Jonathan this time, he said: ”I can’t say that, but I know that Ndigbo are angry with Jonathan. They think he is held hostage by a cabal. They wonder if it makes sense to put Nigeria in the hands of a man who is held prisoner and is easily manipulated by his aides. ” They say his presidency costs Ndigbo a lot as most Nigerians see him as using Ndigbo’s turn, they are also angry with his aides who lie a lot both to Ndigbo and to the man himself. Most of these very respectable individuals and credible groups from the Southeast, tell me they think Jonathan is taking Ndigbo for a ride. The characters who have convinced him that they will deliver Igbo land to him 100 per cent are the ones who might bring him down. While the APC is working hard on the Southeast, the PDP is busy boasting of easy victory. ”This might end up a very tough contest. These Igbo groups who tell me they will not support Jonathan again are not agents of APC, they are traditional Jonathan supporters who feel aggrieved at the way the PDP is behaving. They know Jonathan means well, they know he is a Godly man but they believe he trusts his aides too much and they have blocked him away from reality. ”Whether these accusations are true or not I don’t really know. People are also angry at the stupendous empowerment of ex-militants’ leaders who have all become emergency billionaires, they are all said to be acquiring estates overseas in order to become political god fathers. ”If these allegations are true, then, it is very wrong. Our people are asking, what are the score cards? They are wondering about whatever happened to the promised coal-powered power plants, 2nd Niger bridge, Onitsha sea port, Oguta seaport, Aba inland container terminal, etc. ”Everybody knows that the 45 million Ndigbo can save him with their bloc votes or bring him down when Igbo votes are split. The clowns who are Jonathan’s arrowhead in Igboland are busy offending everybody by their arrogance which clearly stems from over-confidence while politicians are busy trading off Ndigbo for their personal deals as everybody is positioning for a slice of the cake. All these mean that the PDP must not take Igboland for granted. The election is just six weeks away and there is so much anger. ”Ndigbo want some respect and dignity. The people deceiving Jonathan in Abuja cannot deliver Igboland to him as they claim, they don’t have the credibility to be followed sheepishly, moreover Ndigbo want to see Jonathan’s blue print to move Nigeria forward. People want to know his agenda for the next dispensation.’’ http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/2015-ndigbore-angry-jonathan-uko/ |
iterator24:You lack context and dare quote me. Start from the OP and read through this thread again. People like you make us want to use expletives for your inability to do due diligence. Where did you read me refer to Boko Haram capturing Army ordnance? 400 frog jumps for mis yawning |
Is this a new development or is INEC just reiterating? Anyway, that N21Billion GEJ has is mostly Gov't money to be sincere. Let him not spend too much on the deceptive Okupe, Metuh, FFK etc in the name of elections. That's his handsome pension for life in Otueke post May 2015. GMB is here to Correct Nigeria |

okpamson15:All men are not the same just as all fingers are not equal. GMB knows if he can stop Tompolo and those bunkering 400,000 barrels per day, he will save about 10Billion US Dollars every year. He knows what he is saying. GMB till 2023.

Henry120:I dey pity your case o. Let me jog your memory. 1. You attacked the soldier in the OP that he is lying and cowardly. 2. I told you not to attack as you do not know the real situation on ground. This is a life and death matter I even gave you a soldier's tale about fake bullet broof vests in the Nigeria Army during a Boko Haram attack on Maiduguri Barracks 3. You argued Marom makes the Army's bullet proof vests hence they cannot be fake. Implying no fake vests in te Army 4. I told you fake ones could be brought in through the back door by the Army 5. You insisted Marom is reputable, totally missing my point. Still insisting no fake vests in the Army. 6. I showed easy loopholes for fake vests to get into the army ordnance 7. Your best answer is you were not arguing about he possibility of fake vests in the Army? You are trying to be slippery. My point still stands. If you are not the one distributing weapons to soldiers or you are not a soldier on the frontline, do not antagonise those that claim inadequate welfare and ammunitions in the military. If they are right and you are wrong, you are unwittingly supporting sending innocent men to their untimely deaths. |

Mind you, The approved Salaries and Allowances of Federal Executive Office Holders as their remuneration package is contained in the 2008 Act which provides salaries and allowances of “Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders” as recommended by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission. Any salary or allowance outside the recommended package is unconstitutional, illegal as accounting officers of such organisations should be held accountable.
