Auxtan: My salesgirl understands my business to the point I am considering to just make her my family.
I don't do an easy business and I am looking to scale, which means someone that understands this business is vital for that to happen and preferably a family member.
Now I am thinking of marrying her and also in the process leaving the relationship/dating market that is a distraction.
I don't have issues whatsoever with this my salesgirl in terms of character and even accountability, she's just perfect in those aspects, but my problem is her age.
Right now, I am just thinking of taking this decision of killing 2 birds with a stone might just be the best for me, one is settling down and two is marrying someone that understands my business.
Is a 29 year old man too big for an 18 year old girl? What's the general public perception of it?
PS: For the main time, I haven't made moves on her. But my interviews on her so far shows she's not looking to enter the high institution anytime soon (probably due to funds). But if I become comfortable with the age gap that is my major concern, I'd make moves on her and see if it will be possible. I'm trying to assess general views on marrying girls in their teen like her. This wasn't written by a 29 yr old |

DrAda: How can she fix the mess that her good behaviour failed to fix ab initio? . No. Her good behavior did not fail to fix the mess. What the mentor does is to make sure she doesn't abandon her upbringing |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Makes A Woman Truly Beautiful? by Luak(m): 1:02pm On Feb 23, 2025 |
DrAda: And how possible is this in a real life scenario? You see, at the end of the day, that good girl will never be the same no matter how you look at it. She will remain broken and may lose her life along the way. The ones who fight back, the so-called ones with horrible characters are actually the people who end up surviving to recount the tale.
When I encounter people who behave differently, it is almost always a reflection of the environment they grew up in. Same principle is taught in medicine. A once happy child suddenly becoming quite, withdrawn and perhaps violent most definitely encountered something that changed her. Doctors are taught to hunt for that trigger. Good to read of your principles of medicine. My worry is how would she build a home if she leaves the hostile environment without an attempt on fixing the mess |

DrAda: So what do you advice such girls who end up in bad homes to do? it's quite a very big problem Dr Ada. I think any such girl will need a mentor that is close and available almost 24/7. This is because she owe it as a duty to nurture her kids the way she was nurtured |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Makes A Woman Truly Beautiful? by Luak(m): 11:44am On Feb 23, 2025 |
DrAda: I took your advice and read the passage Esther 2:1-18 as recommended by the op. One thing stood out clearly, Esther did not grow up or encounter a hostile environment, rather the opposite.
1. When her parents died, her uncle Mordecai adopted and treated her as his own daughter.
2. During the pre-selection process, the servant that was placed in charge favoured her the most and gave her special food, beauty treatments and even went as far as assigning 7 personal assistants to cater to her every need. What's more, she was given the best place in the harem to reside in. She had 12 months of bliss thanks to this servant. 3. Is it any wonder the king chose her amongst others? Besides her beauty (which was not graded so I don't know where the op got the notion that she wasn't the most beautiful), she was heavily favoured by someone who was close to the king. Being a jew had nothing to do with it.
4. When she was made the queen, "the king threw a great banquet tagged Esther’s banquet for all his nobles and officials. He proclaimed a holiday throughout the provinces and distributed gifts with royal liberality."
5. Think about it, as a contestant, she enjoyed premium treatment for 12 good months, courtesy of a SERVANT. Can you imagine her life as the QUEEN?
Would you describe any of this as hostile treatment?
The king valued and cherished her and she thrived in that environment. Please, let's all be guided for the sake of the women in our lives.
If a woman is incapable of enduring hardship, abuse and God knows what else, it is not solely indicative of a bad character. I commend you for going to read the passage. I also agree she was nurtured in peaceful environment. My interest is the other environment she crossed over to. An environment where I can comfortably describe Queen Vashti and the other contestants as rivals; an environment where there was attempts to kill the King soon after Esther became Queen. The envy was visible. We have a duty to nurture our kids in a peaceful home but most times, parents may not guarantee the home their daughter ends up with. This is where the qualities she imbibed during her early years will be of help |

Christianity Etc › Re: What Makes A Woman Truly Beautiful? by Luak(m): 9:38am On Feb 23, 2025 |
DrAda: I just love how all the males are chanting character. While I totally agree, characters are modified by external factors. Noone is born with a good or bad character.
Her character which you adore now was carefully cultivated by a loving family/environment that nurtured it. Ever wondered why girls from educated family backgrounds appear decent.
A peaceful loving woman will most likely change when thrown into a hostile environment.
Please let's consider this when singing the chorus titled 'Character' if you take time to study the passage, you will see that King Ahasuerus palace was a very hostile environment yet Esther excelled |

Technology Market › Re: Repair Samsung TV Screen by Luak(m): 1:36pm On Oct 29, 2023 |
Wiseandtrue: Is it really worth it? I am really angry with Samsung right now. So I got a Samsung TV as a gift. I was elated more so because that would be the first time I would be viewing a flat screen in my home. I got the package overjoyed only to discover that the screen is broken during transportation. You can imagine how I felt. Then I remembered that I have seen their Customer Care Centre before somewhere in Ojota. I put on a smiling face. MY JOURNEY TO SAMSUNG CUSTOMER CARE I took it to Ikeja hoping to encounter some entrepreneur or company who would help to get it ready on time but alas I met a kind Igbo young man (accent) who advised me against it. So my journey to Ojota was imminent. AT THE SAMSUNG CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE I got to their office everything organised professional wise. You will really feel that you are in save hands. They checked everything to ensure that the fault is actually what I claimed it was. So I asked what the price of fixing the screen. None of them was forthcoming. I was asked to pay the consultation Fee (non-refundable) which I did. After they promised to get back to me just like that. They claim that they ship it from oversea and needs to know the current price . Okay it is still understandable. AWAITING RESULT Eventually a call came through from their office. A week after and I was told that the cost of replacing a brand new TV whose only fault is the screen is over forty thousand Naira (40,000) Which is equivalent to the brand new one. Is it really worth it? I will be grateful if I find help here also. Mine is a 43 inches Samsung plasma tv bought in Umuahia at 90k in 2015. In 2018 I paid 70k to repair a damaged screen at portharcourt service center. Now the tv has gone blind and I worried about going to Samsung service center a second time considering the cost. |

Metrix147: Reactions have continued to trail the declaration of ex-bank chief executive, Dr. Alex Otti as governor-elect of Abia State on Wednesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
This time, an excited citizen, Steven Ukpabi has surprised the INEC returning officer, Prof. Nnenna Oti who presided over the collation of votes from the March 18 governorship election in the state which produced Otti as governor-elect.
Ukpabi, a native of Ututu in Arochukwu local government area of Abia is based in Abuja.
He is the Founder and Director, Treebones Concept Nigeria Limited, and also the CEO Sungai Pacific Nigeria Limited.
He told ABN TV on Thursday that his decision to gift a land cruiser Prado SUV he had earlier ordered for himself is borne out of excitement and Prof. Oti's resilience to withstand inducement to alter the electoral outcome.
"I ordered that car for myself, but because of the excitement, I have decided to give it to the lady (Prof. Oti) because my car was stolen two weeks ago here in Abuja so I had to make that order for myself.
"As it stands now, I am going to pass that car to Prof. Nnenna Oti. I think she deserves it", he said.
Earlier he had announced his decision to gift Prof. Oti the car on his Facebook page.
He wrote, "For your outstanding service to the people of Abia, I hereby request for this Prado to be delivered to Mrs Nnenna Nnennaya Oti immediately it arrives Nigeria next month.
"Thank you for your service in Abia.”
