You can do a mutual fund.. doesn’t matter when it was opened.. the reference and statement just shows how much is in it and who owns it.. my sister used it and no questions were asked.

I received an ITA in the last STEM draw, just a month after submitting my application.

Here's my dilemma: my Naira account, where I've been receiving my salary for the past six months, doesn't have enough to cover the POF. I'm considering liquidating my stocks in Bamboo and transferring the amount to my account. Alongside, I plan to attach a Letter of Explanation (LOE) to account for this large deposit.

However, my agent is advising against this move, suggesting instead that I open an investment account and deposit the funds there. This approach is quite new to me.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice on this matter. Has anyone had a similar experience or suggestions?

Pls guys, if a company was registered after I left the company, can it still be used as a suitable work experience.. eg. I worked there 2018 - may 2022, company got registered in October 2022, salary payment was in cash. Pls Do you think it will be a problem?

I think it really depends on how long your school takes to send your documents and respond to the verification email.. WES generally takes about 2 weeks to do their part…. At least that’s how long it took me sha.. after my school responded to the verification email, I got my evaluation within a week.

That’s probably why… the tie-breaking rule was june 12… meaning that they selected people with the score that entered the pool on or before that date. I may be wrong but that’s what I think sha

It doesn’t really matter whether you upload any document ( either statement or certificate) I.e your own upload is not that important… just have your school send your transcript and statement/certificate directly to WES.. and that’s what WES will work with.. I didn’t upload any document and my evaluation was done ..

Yes for now, if it’s for POF. Currently the Proof of funds required for a family of 4 is $25,546 cad. But I’ll advise you save in foreign currency because of devaluation of naira.
Also, I hope your budget does not include the expenses you will incur in the process, like cost of ielts, credential evaluation, and other post ITA expenses?

So like I said, in my case I was pursuing 2 things at the same time. The Canadian PR and citizenship with a European country.

For the Canadian PR, I do not think I had to legalise the report at the Nigerian embassy. I did do this for the citizenship application.

So it is not too bad.

I applied last month using the possap portal, I did the biometrics manually, using ink on the printed paper documents and scanning it back. I got the PCC 10 days after, All for 30k!!!

If I remember correctly, biometrics were taken at the Nigerian embassy. The embassy staff will give you a package to be sent to Nigeria. The police report will then be produced and certified by the foreign ministry.

This legalised police certificate then gets sent back to the country you are and the Nigerian embassy will legalise the police certificate.

These guys are lowest scums of the earth. It costs so much to legalise the document.

And is there a time limit for it? Asin if I get one now and it’s dated for today, can I still use it if the need be in like 6 months time?will it still be acceptable?

I’d advise you to send to VFS Kenya … my sisters own took less than a week to return. Also, it’s not always the same for everyone, you might be asked for POF at the airport… my sister said the lady right in front of her wasn’t asked, but she was asked for POF. so just prepare yourself because you might not be so lucky.. It’s actually a requirement but some people escape it at the airport.

1. Not an issue. Your skilled work experience should however be within the last 10 years.

2. Depends. PCC required only for dependents 18 years and above.

3. If you are the PA, do not include his work experience in your EE profile. Add it to his Personal History after you receive ITA. If you want to use the funds in your husband’s account as POF, he will need to provide a consent letter giving you full access to utilize the funds in his account.
