mctech:Apt. Which was why they had long average life spans of 25 - 40, had very low infant mortality, very low deaths from diseases like malaria, tuberculosis, small pox, cholera, polio and other infections so much so there was no need for vaccines and antibiotics. Right?! Holy confirmation bias. |
Kenneth10110:Facts. But despite been non-venomous all that's needed is one wrong move and it gets a grip around her legs and it's finshed. Seen a woman that was swallowed whole by one in SA. |
decatalyst:Apt. We ignore the mental health aspects way too much. These guys just got a strong dose of PTSD. There was a time a single robber tried to break into a house I was staying, cause they felt no one was home - I was the only one around in the whole compound and was asleep. He didn't succeed cause I shouted and he ran away but do you know for the next 2 weeks, once I'm asleep and hear any sound I'd jolt from sleep with fear, loud noises even when awake immediately made me concerned and I'd start looking around with my heart racing faster than a horse. Now that's minor compared, so imagine how these guys are messed up in their head right now with no mental health evaluation to help them bounce back. |
1Alex:And to add to that, even the whole idea and talk of legacy and all that, I feel, is often a futile and egoistic attempt to somehow outlive time. That legacy, name, and impact will be washed away by the sands of time as well. 99.99% of so-called legacies will be forgotten, just as the people themselves are forgotten. Eventually everything would be gone. Out of the hundreds of millions who lived even 100 years ago, how many of their names are remembered today, let alone their legacies? The average human lifespan doesn't even register as a dot on the timescale of the universe—75 years compared to 13.8 billion. Genuine altruism doesn't concern itself with legacy, because legacy, like life itself, is fleeting. Do good because it is good. Help others because it is the right thing to do, not because your name might survive a little longer in people's memories. Just live your life the best way you see fit and do what you believe is right, not because of recognition, legacy, or the desire to be remembered, because those too will eventually vanish like everything else. Life is beautiful because it's fleeting. |
Gbadebo19:It is stark illiteracy and ignorance, no offense. I've experienced this mutliple times, at a point in time it became so frequent I was like wtf, did the whole ignorant bible under pillow and pray thing, it was still happening. Decided to do some research around it and with the simple research I did, like what this article highlights I, found the solution. I was working on a serious project then that left me physically exhausted everyday. On top of the stress I was always thinking anxiously about work, so was finding it difficult to fall asleep coupled with using my phone late into the night. On top of all that even when I managed to fall asleep noise from the next compound always wakes me up in the middle of the night before I struggle to sleep again. So I wasn't sleeping well at all and I had to wake up as early as 5. When it happened again I just waited patiently for it to pass by being calm instead of struggling. Took a break from work to rest, bought noise cancelling headphones, stopped sleeping on my back and using my phone before bed time. Then made sure I got 8hrs of sleep. This was more than 5yrs ago, till date I haven't had one experience with it. When they say "ignorance is a disease", there's a reason why we are so backward from the rest of the world. Educate urself, it's is no way vague. Your brain never sleeps, to prevent you from acting out your dreams, it disconnects movement of the body, unfortunately sometimes you wake up before movement is connected back while you're transitioning from sleep to wake ergo sleep paralysis. The opposite happens too when movement of the body is not disconnected. You see them talking in their sleep or walking while they're sleeping, some even go to the kitchen eat and forget they ever did. You see this in dogs a lot when theyrr dreaming and trying to run as they're asleep. People fear what they don't understand, as of today, the supernatural still has a 100% failure rate. |
SyrusdeHansome:Ignorance is pressing this one 🤣 |
This reminds me of STEP study (“Study of the Therapeutic Effects of Intercessory Prayer”), one of the largest controlled studies on prayer which involved about 1,800 cardiac bypass patients. They found no measurable healing effect from prayer, and the group that was being prayed for had more complications lol. There's a reason miracles rely heavily on ambiguity and are indistinguishable from coincidence. |
DeepSight:Lol! I had to ask bro. |
femi4:There was a god up there? News to me, so which of em does any science point to? |
Freshtruth:This kind of comment reinforces that this place collectively has it's IQ lowered everyday. |
jaephoenix:A very advanced form of science called Pseudo. |
femi4:Which of the gods does any science point to? Stop the cap. |
jesusjnr2020:Except getting his followers to agree on an objective interpretation of what he is and what he wants. That one is rocket science. |
Doyou2019:Yeah I get that but there's a lot of creatots in there especially with 2 attacking 8's in Eze and Ode that can feed him, plus prev lineup has been perf. Let's see how it goes 🤞🏾 |
Good lineup but why the heck is Havertz starting. |
LordReed:I find it interesting you're backing up a standard of scrutiny which they don't hold themselves to. For all of the extra ordinary claims, all you get is "the bible says" and when they try to imitate the standard with pseudo-science, you get nonsenses like "aquatic live fossils". The hypocrisy is way too glaring. |
FlipModeSquade:They seem to love irony. Saw this same person make another comment on a diff thread that - carbon dating, they called it "dating" - makes no sense. This is someone that thinks bronze age illiterate men, in one of the most primitive parts of the world - that barely understood how the world works and make claims like the "sun stood still" - are the ones with truth about objective reality. Apparently taking myths as facts is what people that aren't dumb do. |
Ebenezer2021:Jesus wept. Where have you seen anyone infected with rabies bark like a dog? Or do you think only dogs get rabid. So if a rabid monkey bites and infects a person, he/she'd bark like a dog or screech like a monkey? Educate us. |
We will do all of them, if your wife or god crosses our path, we will sleep with them too |
CharlotteFlair:This one has his wires crossed, only you quoted me out of the blue, now forcing me to care. Ok I care, I care that you choose a first century apocalyptic prophet crucified as a common criminal. Told you I'd do better 😌 So what prize does my caring get me? |
CharlotteFlair:Oh my bad, didn't realise I was meant to care about the choices of some random nobody on the internet, I'd do better next time 👊🏽 |
CharlotteFlair:This one is already triggered fighting for Jesus. 😄 |
CharlotteFlair:Baseless stories. |
Nastrademus:Like christianity needs any extra help making a mockery of itself lol. |
You only need common sense to see the shroud is a joke taken too far. A 3d object transfers perfectly detailed imprints and outlines to a 2d object wrapped around it. Its not smudged or distorted around the contours and where it presses against the body, nothing just perfect transfer of a person that was supposedly tortured, forgetting even the injuries and blood flow would be inconsistent, not to talk of the hair. Then it just happens to show the silhouette of a european man even though its meant to be some guy from the middle east? This is not even considering that the linen cloths used to wrap the bodies then were multiple and seperate as stated in John_ that there's even a seperate relic claiming to be the head covering. The shroud is as nonsensical as it gets. |
Breaker001:Famous last words of a blind man. Don't forget olanzapine. At least we would add the useless "prophesy" to the pile of failed prophecies from the failed apocalyptic prophet you worship. |
Breaker001:Do yourself a favour and locate the nearest pysche ward to help with your delulu instead of looking for who will save your meaningless ramblings. I recommend you start with Olanzapine. |
Breaker001:This is what they call Delulu+. I'd suggest you seek a psychiatrist quickly, your rope is short. 🤡 |
It's 2026, if you still believe in any of all these myopic superstitions, a clear mental evaluation is needed. |
Breaker001:Coming from the person tied down in mental slavery. Ironic. |
