If you carry the label pastor, prophet, priest, bishop, imam, religious leader or you're a highly religious person, you're at the bottom of my trust index. These set of people are usually the most dangerous, manipulative and hypocritical set of humans. Ws laughing when my landlord said he's never renting to any pastor ever, was vindicated in knowing my experience was bot just me. |

Chibuezem: Jesus is God it's as simple as that Great. So we know he commanded what you deride others for, talk about hypocrisy. Remove the log in your eye... you know the rest. Deuteronomy 13:6–10 If a close family member tempts you to worship another god... “You must put them to death… Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people.” Numbers 31:15–18 “Have you allowed all the women to live? … Kill every male child and every woman who has slept with a man, but keep the young girls for yourselves.” Samuel 15:2–3 “Attack Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have. Do not spare them; put to death men, women, children, infants, cattle and sheep…” And there's many more. |

Jesus never for once preached that you should kill your enemy 😂 This one done use style check bible, edit im comment sharperly before I respond. I saw your unedited comment. Hilarious. So we're expected to believe the demographic that reads the least and consumes paper back media the least while also having the shortest attention spans - are then purchasing voluminous ancient texts at a record rate? Ok. Let's pretend the data is factual, one outcome is certain - like 90% of christains before them, they would not read it. 😂 |

It is indeed sad but like any medication, vaccines carry some risk for a small minority, but the truth is the overall benefit from reduced spread to better population-level outcomes far outweighs that risk. Same way a small tiny percent would have adverse rxns to your common Malaria drugs and Panadol.
Ever read the leaflet for side sffects in any drug talkless vaccine, list is usually longer than the constituents of said drug. Unfortunately seems the kids where among the rare tiny percent that would usually be affected. |

LordIsaac: I visited Port Harcourt for the first time (we escorted a bride), and hmmm, see elders begging people they are just meeting for the first time for financial support! Well, I think it's just borne of our communal culture. I prefer it to the tipping culture we have in "saner climes"! Begging random strangers better than tipping for services rendered? You sir are flowing with so much wisdom from the typical Nigerian mindset that has made us the envy of the world. |

HardMirror: I need your answer. Just one question. What is the usefulness of prayer and god. Shikena. Just tell me what god is useful for No use. The efficacy of prayer is indistinguishable from no prayer, just as the evidence for god/yhwh/allah is indistinguishable from that of a non-existent being. If that weren’t the case, believers would be able to point to one tangible, demonstrable benefit and advantage that Christians who pray, reliably have over non-Christians who don’t and that the prayerless non-christain can't have. Just one. That's the reason you won't get any meaningful response to that question. They eat, shit and die like everyone else, only diff is they got fantastical cope. |

I believe this script was written long before now and and being played. Makinde stylishly left out Gbadegesin who is well connected and understands the politics so well from being the Alaafin. He brought in Owoade who is a novice and doesn’t have the resources to compete with the “big kings”. Owoade has been made a prawn. Apt. He's been made a prawn just as much as a shrimp. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Name Of God In Aramaic, The Language Spoken By Jesus by Lucifyre: 7:53pm On Jan 01 |
Kobojunkie: Are you Ok in the head? Or are you here to argue meaninglessness this first couple of hours into the new year? 🥱🥱🥱
➜ Aramaic is the language of the Galileans(current day Syria), but not the spoken language of all the Judeans, even at the time in question ➜ The Gospels do not state anywhere that Aramaic was the spoken language of Jesus Christ of Israel. Rather, the gospels contain a handful of Aramaic phrases that were used by Jesus Christ of Israel ➜ The Gospels report that Jesus Christ of Israel was able to read and comprehend the Scriptures. And from much we gather, the Septuagint, which Jesus Christ of Israel must have read from, was originally written in the Greek language around 200 years or so before his birth,(during the Greek occupation of Judea). Another, that he may also have read from, the Talmud was written in Hebrew, the language of both the Israelites(Jews included) and Canaanites. ➜ Jesus Christ of Israel was able to communicate with the Roman, Pilate, indicating that either he, Jesus Christ of Israel, understood the language of the Romans or Pilate understood some of the language of the Jews. Whichever one it is, we know that he was able to communicate with the Romans. (The Romans occupied Judea at the time.) ➜ Jesus Christ of Israel was a Jew, and at no point in the history of his people was the land of Judea reported to have been occupied by the Aramians, nor was it ever recorded that the Judaens adopted the language of the Aramians. And the reports do not indicate that all his disciples or the people in Judea at the time understood the Aramaic language. ➜ (Jesus Christ of Israel is also not reported to have, at any point, had a translator with him.)
.... So nothing, just more meaningless ramblings. As I thought lol! |
Christianity Etc › Re: Name Of God In Aramaic, The Language Spoken By Jesus by Lucifyre: 4:38pm On Jan 01 |
Kobojunkie: No historical basis? Historical speculation? There is no historical evidence that the book of Psalms, supposedly a compilation of poems/psalms by King David of Israel, contained several statements, at least one of which was later linked to the Aramaic language, which belonged to the people of the nation of Aram in existence thousands of years ago in the Levant region?🥱🥱
I am afraid I do not follow. 🥱🥱 You don't say, I'd have been suprised if you did. Wheee's the data and evidence that supports the nonsense below instead you're rambling. " Aramaic was not the language spoken by Jesus Christ of Israel but rather one of the many languages spoken by him. The particular reason why the cry from the cross was recorded in Aramaic was that it was spoken in a language different from the one Jesus Christ of Israel regularly spoke.'None?! As I thought. |

The particular reason why the cry from the cross was recorded in Aramaic was that it was spoken in a language different from the one Jesus Christ of Israel regularly spoke.
