chopnaira:Lol, thank which god? The one that was asleep when they were getting kidnapped and beaten or is the the one that allowed these 2 and some of the rescuers to die at the hands of the kidnappers.l? Better thank the military that risked and lost their lives instead of some absentee deitty from the middle east. Or better still thank him for the mental trauma they will live with for the rest of their lives. |
Mandesz:There's a reason you keep praying for sense and it constantly eludes you. It's simply cause of concentrated indoctrination beyond repair, which affects critical thinking. That's why you have no clue about the context of the book u base yiur life on and have to default to regurgitation. Guess irony works in mysterious ways. |
Mandesz:I don't know why religious people love irony like this. If the prayer for sense works, it would have first given you the sense to research the history of the religion you base ur life upon, to know not a single of the so called disciples wrote anything save for Paul who wasn't a witness. But why educate urself, when you can pray for sense, receive none and then go on to gloat in loud ignorance. |
Well there are 2 different routes to arrive at reasons for the whys, one through biblical gibberish and the other through logical reasoning. Firstly, according to the bible in Exodus 4:11 - "The LORD said to him, 'Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD?'" So it could be said the "all loving" god who made them that way has simply decided to keep them that way and not grant healing to them for some obscure reason, even though he claims to love them so much. So less of the pastor's fault here - even though he might be a con artist - but as I said, gibberish. Moving on through the second route. If you notice throughout history in general and that of christainity you'd notice an interesting pattern about supernatural claims - it thrives in gaps of our understanding of reality and retreats with the speed of light from falsifiability. There are 3 gaps in particular where these claims love to thrive - Gaps in our knowledge, gaps in our means to document and collect evidence and lastly the falsification gap. In the old testament you'd notice the grandiosity of the supernatural claims - fortified city walls crumbling from just singing, water flooding the whole planet, the frigging sun standing still, pillars of ice and fire appearing fron nowhere, whole cities wiped out by hail and fire from above etc. Very very bold claims that somehow thrived because of gaps in our knowledge as we were largely ignorant of objective reality, we had no way to investigate or document stuff until much much later and no way to test if a claim is true or false. So anything goes, by the time you get to the new testament you'd notice the grandiosity of the supernatural claims are a bit toned down, save for the thousands of dead people waltzing into the city to meet their loved ones, which conveniently no contemporary thought to document, much less verify and falsify for something so bizzare. Forward to today and we've gained so much knowledge. To the extent every single mystery attributed to the supernatural that bordered on our ignorance - that we've been able to gain knowledge about and investigate - has usually been demonstrated to be nothing supernatural, leaving the supernatural currently with a failure rate of a 100%. Now if a mysterious event happens in a remote village in China, I would have my hands on documented evidence within an hr of said event, while living in a separate corner of the world. And the mysterious event would be easily investigated as we have the tech and then falsified to know if it's this or that. Take those fake "Alien fossils" found in Mexico for example. This makes it way more difficult than before for your pastors and proponents of supernatural claims to make them with ease, ergo you have a reduction in the number of claims and the grandiosity of the claims. So now these claims retreat to the small remaining gaps of unfalsifiablility and thrive at the borders of ambiguity, where the claims are indistinguishable from sheer luck, random coincidence or mere probability. You won't be seeing any pastors raising the dead anytime soon nor amputees regaining limbs, but you'd see those in wheel chairs 'walking' again. Halleluyah. |
Either the Pastor is confused or in denial if that's what he's pinning as values for a christain nation. They're basically just taking inspiration from values and a precedent set by their "holy" bible and "unchanging" god Yhwh - who is supposedly also Jesus - who commanded, oversaw genocides aplenty & literally gave instructions on owning slaves while never condemning it. Their god sets the precedent, the followers follow, pastor's just in denial cause the supposed "divine" is just a distinction without a difference. |
The tower of Babel is not only not factual in any way shape or form, it's also not historical as well. It's an etiolgical myth serving as a polemic to Babylonian culture and was even "borrowed" from stories from surrounding ANE cultures. Then again even looKing at it as a story that it is, imagine a deity so insecure that he'd disrupt progress been made by what he created. Also this is after initially getting scared they would be like him. Meanwhile he's meant to be "Omnipotent" and "Omnibenevolent" but instead here he is getting scared of his creation and always demanding subservience. The Yhwh character is so much of a clown, in his "Omniscience" he forgot it would be impossible to build up to space and has now relocated his abode now space stations and satellites are up there. |
Zionmdde:"So plasmids were chemically synthesized too? You are here to tell me no biological components were used in the so called synthesis?" WTF!!! Go school you nor gree 😄 Why are you embarrassing urself like this, the fact everything is just flying past between your ears is hilarious. How did you say it again, it's not my job to educate you. |
Zionmdde:Last I checked you need to have something upstairs before educating someone else, so... "Am not". And for like the 3rd time my prediction's right - nuance missed. Which is why you had to ask this intelligent question - "Meanwhile l wonder what e Coli is doing in the so called pure chemical synthesis of life" - when even the plasmids in my ss are not even purely non - biological. This is what happens when you don't read, you can't get it, not even with a million degrees and AI. Again not my fault you get insulted by facts lol. |
Zionmdde:When you learn how to read instead of relying on AI that hallucinates let me know, the fact you could not even read and had to give it to AI to help you out, like wtf. To the extent your AI assesment is going against your initial claim "Wake me when they create life using chemical elements and compounds" and you proudly posted it as evidence. Told you the paper would be too much for your comprehension. How many degrees do you have again? Watch the nuance fly right past lol.

favour32:Said Favour32 to his mother. |
Zionmdde:It's not my fault you didn't go to school or even if you did, that it had no effect, neither is your comprehension issue. When you're done displaying your ignorance, I'd suggest you pick up something called a book, educate urself and learn how to read. It'll do you a load of good and prevent further displays like this where you get insulted by facts. I'll quote someone else on this thread. favour32: |
jaephoenix:Used to be lucifyre but been a while I played last. |
Zionmdde:Oh great, so it's the first option, you obviously can't read which is why simple sentences appear as complicated "grammar". No shit you're embarassing urself. "Since these cells were pieced together from scratch, and all the molecular parts were crafted in the lab, scientists can tinker with the system and switch components in and out." "By putting together systems inspired by different labs — DNA replication; feeder liposomes; and swarming, division-inducing proteins — and then optimizing them to work together, Adamala’s team showed that it is possible to induce the chemical world to form a biological one in the lab." Got any other dumb quips? |
Zionmdde:No offense but do you know how to read? If you know how to, did you read the post? I seriously doubt that cause you wouldn't be making the statements above. |
chigator2:Don't worry you won't have to wait as long as the return of Jesus 😄 |
In a 1000 - 2000 years there would be very little gap left. Heard this lady discussing this process about abiogenesis - their progress and challenges - on a podcast with NDT late last year, didn't know they were that close. Interesting, guess we should be expecting a massive religious retcon alongside, just like the big bang equals let there be light 😄. |
If you already giving advise for such a bs story, your critcal reasoning faculties are beyond saving. |
Not an atheist(as a few on your list) but don't mind been called one, as I try to stay away from labels but if I were to identify myself it would simply be non - religious. That said, my username precedes my non - religiousness. Obviously it's a play on a religious name but I formed it way back when I wanted a name to go with a new gun I had in COD black ops 2, had already named the gun morning star earlier on, so i thought my COD username should go with it, hence my username. L8r on used it for my acc on here. |
If anyone thinks morality stems from the ten commandments you're either uninformed, misinformed, ignorant or a combination. To which I simply say, just educate urself. If you only know what's right and wrong because of what's in a bronze age book - which you arbitrarily choose what to adhere to and not - and beacuse of the threat some sort of punishment or promise of some sort of reward... Well you're a grave danger to society, cause lord knows what you'd do if the tiny illusionary tether is cut off. |
LordReed:Hehe, interesting. Ws reading through some of my old reddit comments recently and I had the same smile as I have seeing this post. |
laughably ironic. The living don't know what the dead knows, says a living person telling us what the dead do know. So you died and came bk or what? It's only ignorant people that listen to ur nonsense when beating your drum of fear. A drum of fear inspired by imaginations of a colonised caged mind, nothing more. |
MrPresident1:Abeg quiet. All these emtpy religious noise backed by nothing more than confirmation bias. "Sign" indeed. |
Interesting first time hearing of this,. Was this found alongside the other Nag Hammadi library codices? |
jaxxy:Cry me a river. |
Arrowhead71:Totally agree, in the same way I can't comprehend those in a psychiatric ward, they also think they're "sound". |
Righteousness2:This dude need's serious mental evaluation and emancipation from colonial mental slavery. While hilarious it's also sad to see. |
kgr8mike:At least we're in agreement that you make no sense. |
kgr8mike:They asked you to demonstrate Yhwh created everything, you're yapping about the typical "look at the trees", which demonstrates nothing save for incredulity. How can you use an empty claim and assertion as "proof" for another empty claim. It's hilarious. Empty claims galore. |
Kushites:You quiet! No one is obligated to believe in the baseless fairy tale nonsense introduced to you by your colonial masters. Nor be only 400 million why not make it one billion. Empty noise. |
SeriouslySense:Which dirty god, you mean Yhwh the one who is afraid of ordinary iron chariots?! Why fear what fears an inanimate object? Stop the cap abeg. |
Trump will regret this, No one is going to gain here. Even if you think this is a victory opps there wont be celebrations, when the world tries to divide Israel. Now its not Trump you should be worried about. Now its God in heaven himself you should fear.
